I talked to my ex's tattoo guy about it (he's the only one I would ever let tattoo me, known him for years) he said there was not a chance he would have touched her and that the guy should be shut down because there are probably lots of other violations. Turns out he's basically a scratcher thats claims to have a "shop" but her and her sister (who was not pregnant) got them at a friends house during a tattoo party. scratchers are what give legit artists a bad name

R/R: Rave: We got tentatively approved by the underwriter. So yay! Rant: So, this was stupidity on my and DH part, but I'm going to rant about it anyway. The house we are buying is in a high risk flood zone. When we agreed to buy it, we assumed that we would be able to purchase flood insurance on a month to month basis... boy were we wrong. We have to pay a full year up front, and it is expensive! Obviously we still want the house, and will come up with the money, but ugh... I'm annoyed at our past selves for not researching into it a bit more...
CS/Q: My temp continues to stay low and my CM is just creamy... thanks a lot body for not Oing and letting me down after giving me the signs that I was about to O.

I'm absolutely not a fan of needles, and it amazes me how I even imaged to get any piercings at all... I was the same way in HS. I would miss a few days of school every month because of the cramps and how heavy my flow was. I am 3 months off BC now and thankfully the cramps haven't been too bad but this last cycle got much heavier then the previous two. I'm also spotting before and after AF which I don't remember ever doing before BC. I wouldn't worry too much about it though unless your periods are super short.

I am aware of the research and cultural differences. I just don't personally understand why people would risk it. Especially when it's something that is so avoidable and there is so much research showing the negative effects that can happen. I realize that almost everything carries some level of risk while you're pregnant (eating lunch meat, cleaning the cat litter box, ect) but consuming alcohol just seems like such an unnecessary indulgence imo. Maybe it's just because I'm not a big drinker though. I have no problem giving up my occasional glass of wine. It just seems like such a small price to pay. I'd much rather eat the deli meat sandwhich or have the feta cheese I'm not supposed to eat. lol

@50wife sorry for CD1 and when I called my doctor I made a preconception/fertility appointment (at the time I’d been told I was infertile previously), but if you have any reason to be concerned that’s how I’d phrase it with the scheduler. Sometimes if you just say it’s a preconception appointment they’ll push you off longer. I will say, that if you don’t need the referral with your insurance, I might just make an appointment with an RE right out.

HSG was super quick and not painful, just uncomfortable. I think he did say something about injecting an anesthetic so I'm not sure if I'll have pain when that wears off. Most importantly they showed me all the pictures while they were doing it and my tubes are clear! I am really happy for that since it's one less thing to worry about. We have now officially completed all the initial tests they sent us for. We meet with the RE Thursday to review them and make a plan!
@KatieEl I think that's the longest WAYDTGKU list I've seen. What does dessicated liver do if you don't mind my asking? Also my O pain is sometimes bad like that and radiates to my hip but not down my leg. I hope it's nothing.
@safire3 at first I did think it was O pain when it first started about a month ago, but it hasn't really gone away and went from dull/achey to super painful so I figured it was time to get it looked at. The desiccated liver is just dehydrated liver in capsule form to get the health/nutritive benefits of eating organ meat without having to eat it (because I think it's gross lol).
ETA I know it's totally a rediculous list, but it's my small way of trying to exert some control over a process there's clearly no controlling. Makes me feel like I'm doing something, if nothing else.

@kaylev0430 I am super pain intolerant and I had no issue with mine at all! There's no fat there to ache, so it's just the feeling of small pricks in the skin and maybe a bit it hitting your skull. All in all, 10/10 for a first tattoo placement for me!

@50Wife so sorry about CD1. Treat yourself today. Be careful about your dr appt if your insurance doesn't cover infertility. *TW *. Back in December I had made an appt in Feb to talk about infertility testing. Then the ectopic happened right before that appt (although at the time they thought it was a miscarriage) so it was perfect timing that I had it. We mostly talked about what was currently happening with a little bit of infertility testing in the future. Well, they coded it as missed miscarriage and infertility and since my insurance doesn't cover infertility, my bill was $300. Trying to get that fixed **end TW **

R/R: I'm a long-time lurker and even posted for awhile last summer/fall. I had to give myself a break from posting because I felt so disappointed every time a new cycle began. I didn't chart/temp from November-January because I just needed a break and to stop having a daily reminder. We continued trying during that gap and I still used OPKs to verify my O. I started temping again in February and my period was 2 days late (which never happens) so up until this morning I was a wreck of emotions. AF started this afternoon. This last cycle taught me that I need to get back into this supportive community. These last few days were so difficult and I didn't have anyone to talk to (other than DH who tries his best but just doesn't get it).
Long story, short: I'm back. I'm ready to get back into the community.

I really appreciate all the wisdom in this thread about when to make appointments...I'm not worrying too much yet since I'm only on my 4th cycle of trying (and the first two cycles probably should be marked more as "learning" than ideal attempts), but I am starting to think about at what point I *would* start wanting to do more and how I would go about that. I turn 34 on Saturday and I want to walk that fine line between not stressing out unnecessarily but also not letting too much valuable time go by if there is an issue...

I don't have any and have never really wanted one, but I do love seeing other people's and hearing the stories around them! A couple of my friends have done really nice ones recently in honor of loved ones who have passed away. I especially like the ones where it's the loved one's handwriting or a drawing they did. Those are really sweet.
@darkrose88 that happened to us too when we bought our house. We have our flood insurance rolled into our monthly mortgage payment - extra $30 a month - and we fought it ever step of the way. If you qualify you can try to get it waived (we did but alas it didn't work). Idk where you live but we talked to someone in our county's public works department - you can submit a letter to FEMA to get removed from the floodplain

@jeg07 that was exactly me this month. I was like 4 days late with temps still up. I was so hopeful until my temp crashed yesterday morning. My husband also tries but he's just optimistic which is great, but at the same time I'm just like damn let me be upset without feeling like I'm being dramatic. He also told me I trusted temps too much when I told him yesterday that my temp dropped and I'd be getting my period. Ummmmmm dude...it's science. The ladies here are amazing. I said it in TWW last week and I'll say it here again-this board is like a bunch of drunk girls in a bathroom. Everyone is supportive and has your back. It's amazing.

Yes! I have a small tattoo on my ankle that says “vegan.” I had it done on my ten year anniversary of being a vegan (I was 19). My idea was to have it underlined for each ten years after that of veganism… but, umm, tattoos hurt so no lines

@jeg07 Sorry about CD1. The month before I started temping my AF was 6 days late and I nearly lost it. I was convinced that I was KU and testing every day. That was about 1 year ago and it's still hard for me to take a break from temping because I'm afraid of that happening again. Of course it hasn't happened again since then.

I did Indianapolis Monumental! LOVED every second of it! I ran with several other people from my small hometown and all of them say they are never doing another... me on the other hand, I would sign up for and train for another in a heartbeat!

R/R: I'm a long-time lurker and even posted for awhile last summer/fall. I had to give myself a break from posting because I felt so disappointed every time a new cycle began. I didn't chart/temp from November-January because I just needed a break and to stop having a daily reminder. We continued trying during that gap and I still used OPKs to verify my O. I started temping again in February and my period was 2 days late (which never happens) so up until this morning I was a wreck of emotions. AF started this afternoon. This last cycle taught me that I need to get back into this supportive community. These last few days were so difficult and I didn't have anyone to talk to (other than DH who tries his best but just doesn't get it).
Long story, short: I'm back. I'm ready to get back into the community.

CS/Q: Nope. My temperature spiked for some odd reason this morning on Day 5 of my period, but I'm pretty sure it's just a fluke temp and nothing in need of explanation. (I'm refusing to admit the possibility that I might be coming down with something.)

I don't have any and have never really wanted one, but I do love seeing other people's and hearing the stories around them! A couple of my friends have done really nice ones recently in honor of loved ones who have passed away. I especially like the ones where it's the loved one's handwriting or a drawing they did. Those are really sweet.

The ladies here are amazing. I said it in TWW last week and I'll say it here again-this board is like a bunch of drunk girls in a bathroom. Everyone is supportive and has your back. It's amazing.
@LoveInDC omg the thought of a needle hitting my skull made my brain hurt!! I love that placement but I'd be a mess getting it there!
Also, way too many of you to tag but thank you all so much for the input regarding calling my dr and RE appointments! I'm upset that I'm at the point of having to call but I'm more positive now than I was this morning (which is huge for a CD1).
Its amazing. Lasts a week for me which is the longest any polish I've used at home has lasted!

Yes! I have a small tattoo on my ankle that says “vegan.” I had it done on my ten year anniversary of being a vegan (I was 19). My idea was to have it underlined for each ten years after that of veganism… but, umm, tattoos hurt so no lines

@jeg07 Sorry about CD1. The month before I started temping my AF was 6 days late and I nearly lost it. I was convinced that I was KU and testing every day. That was about 1 year ago and it's still hard for me to take a break from temping because I'm afraid of that happening again. Of course it hasn't happened again since then.
