@jess0211 I got the Charge 2. It's pretty cool. I have no clue how I'm going to get 10,000 steps in. I got almost 7,500 yesterday and that was with a dog walk. I think I'm just going to try and get more and more each day.
@slaven that's the one I got as well! I just set it up and am waiting for it to charge. I had the old charge and loved it, unfortunately it broke last week. But I found it motivated me quite a bit! Hope you enjoy yours!
@ArtificialRed you dont use the bump to track pregnancy?? I've used a couple different ones and liked the bump the best...keeps weekly bump photos stored so I can go back and compare with this pregnancy
I had to do my own progesterone injections today by myself. I did it in my quad muscle and almost passed out looking at that needle in my leg. I'm a freaking nurse, what is wrong with me?!?
Question: is there any way to change my ticker from mobile? Do I even have one currently? I'm pretty much perma mobile unless I go get DH's laptop. I'm just afraid it says in like 30 something months pregnant from the last time lol

I'm not actually sure if there is a way to do that from mobile. I just tried and couldn't figure it out but I can try more later. It does say you are 156 weeks pregnant currently.

Lol!!!! That's awesome. I'll have to snag DH's laptop tomorrow.
I think my dog has fleas!!! Ahhh! This has never happened before so I'm about to rush out and by all the things. In the past we've relied on natural flea and tick prevention. I'm torn between not wanting to expose myself and DS to chemicals, but not wanting to risk the exposure to fleas and ticks. Last spring we debated the whole thing, but now that I'm pregnant I'm doubting it again. What prevention are you most comfortable with??
@ArtificialRed you can get oral flea treatment from the vet. No chemical exposure and it works! My golden retriever got them on a camping trip and I was so skeeved out. But it worked fast!
@ArtificialRed we use the seresto collars for our cats when they had fleas last year and they've worked great! I don't know about exposure with pregnant women, but I'm sure the vet would know.
Growing up, my parents used the flea killing pills @heatherdubrow suggested and they worked great, especially on their yellow lab who had a flea allergy.
@ArtificialRed omg I hope you get it under control asap! When my husband and I bought our house two years ago, the previous owner had two cats and a dog - and her freakin dog had FLEAS and as soon as she moved out and we moved in (no pets at the time), all the fleas that had been living off of HER animals started biting US to survive. The whole house was infested - I had to vacuum every single room, every day, to get all the eggs. We had to have Terminex come out twice and treat the entire house. It was awful. Definitely talk to a vet, but I am pretty sure most flea treatments that work on your pets are pretty benign to begin with or they'd be toxic to small animals.

I think we caught it pretty early. We only saw maybe six fleas come off in the bath we gave her, plus I don't have carpet where she's allowed and she's not allowed on the couch either. So I did a million loads of laundry for the rugs and her bedding, mopped the floor, cleaned out her crate, washed her collar, leash, and harness. Our vet is open on Sundays, and if I see a single more flea I will be picking up medicine tomorrow!! She has a new, natural flea collar for now.
@ArtificialRed, our vet gives our dog special treats for flea, tick, and parasite prevention. He said the work as well as the collars. I feel more comfortable not having a flea collar or rub on gel with a one year old in the house.
The collar we picked has essential oils in it. It has geraniol in it so it smells like flowers lol Probably not as effective as chemicals, but I wanted to try it first.
Well, this is happening during naptime today. DH has a meeting at church so it is allllllll mine. Not that we ever time to play anymore. Maybe once a month.
Last Saturday, I bought two bird feeders for my yard, and over the week they discovered it and this weekend I've seen bluebirds, nuthatches, three types of woodpecker, cardinals, bluejays, dark-eyed juncos, black-capped chickadees, and a variety of finches. They finished the 6-lb bag of birdseed I bought with the feeders.
I just bought a 40-lb bag of birdseed lmao

@Tourmalily I am so jealous you have the bluejays and woodpeckers coming! I cant seem to get the bluejays interested in my feeder and I only have one woodpecker. Hes pretty much a hog too haha
@kelleyE3812 oh my gosh, you can HAVE my bluejays! They're great big meanies! Actually, they're too large to sit on the feeder I bought, which is nice, because they can't bully the smaller birds away. They hop around on the ground underneath it and eat all the seeds the other birds drop.
The woodpeckers we have in abundance; the tree I hung the feeder on is an Ash tree, and it's pretty badly infested with the Emerald Ash Borer. Sadly, the infestation is so advanced the tree will be dead within about 5 years, so the woodpeckers and nuthatches are allllll over it.
The bluebirds and chickadees like mealworms, too, so it helps to have an insect seed cake, too.

Ill take the bluejays!! The woodpecker I have is too big to sit on my feeder but he just kinda hangs off of it and throws the seed out with his beak until he finds what he wants! Ill have to get some mealworms and see if i can get some bluebirds. I have one small black-capped chickadee, he is so small and cute.
I think I have a UTI. I have a preexisting apt with my PCP tomorrow for a glucose test I had done before my BFP. They had me make an apt when they took the blood, even though they didn't know what the results would be. At the time I thought it was stupid because if they were fine then they could just call me, but now I can see my dr for this potential UTI tomorrow. My dr's office is all booked for today but the appointment scheduler left a note for the nurse's desk to see if they can just have me go in for a pee test.
Last night I had some vaginal pressure, nothing crazy. Woke up this morning and oh my Lord does it hurt and I could barely hold my pee in. Woke up at 5 to pee, peed again getting ready for work, and then almost peed myself walking 10 minutes to work. I stopped taking my probiotic but I guess that was a bad idea!
Since this is the random thread figure this was the best place to put this post.
So I spent this morning with my MIL, this afternoon with my parents. Still none of them have any idea that we are expecting plus my MIL even asked us if we had and news and we were just like "no nothing yet" I told my mom that MIL was asking and she was even like "well you will tell us as soon as you know cause there is no way you could keep that a secret" LOL they have no idea. Now I'm wondering how that phone call will go when my mom calls me after she gets in the mail our announcement to them that we are pregnant. It is actually kind of thrilling keeping this from them.
Other random thing for today. I wanted a milkshake before I went to my parents house today. So with my DD i stopped at a place that has good milkshakes (Side Note: Not really sure if I am craving milkshakes or not cause i'm not super wanting them but every few days I either need a milkshake or a smoothie because it just seems to hit the spot) Well before I pulled up to the drive thru I asked my 2 year old DD if she wanted one. She responded with No. So I just got one for myself. Then as I'm driving down the road she wants a sip so I give her one then she cries when I take it away. So I have to end up just handing her the whole thing as you can see by my picture she was pretty darmuch proud of herself......should have just bought her her own.
@janvier112 That's exactly what I am telling people too! There is no way that I could ever get away with not drinking without having everyone questioning me....I'm not an alcoholic or anything, but they know that on the weekends, I need a drink!
