Aside from the obvious one-holding your squish!-what are you looking forward to SO MUCH once baby arrives?

Or alternatively, if your baby is already evicted, what were you SO HAPPY to do once your little one arrived?

    - Sushi!!!!
    - being able to sleep in whatever position (I think I'm usually curled up or on my back, had never really given it much thought until I could only sleep on my side)
    - using all the adorable baby things we have accumulated
    - not having to drive half hour to/from work
    - the "oh, you're having a baby" captain obvious comments and so many baby questions from complete strangers
    Yeeeaaahhh....
    About that....
You are going to have so many awkward small talk conversations about your baby in lines in the grocery store in your future...

  • None sappy:
    • Sleeping on my stomach!
    • Not a huge drinker.. but have been craving frozen margarita for MONTHS!
    • Ability to overindulge in food and not have the heartburn to punish me for it.
    • Getting to be home with my son and the new baby.
    • Yes @longliveregina ... I actually kind of want the hospital stay where I can choose my meal and have someone bring it to me!
    Sappy:
    • Seeing that face peer up at me for the first time, holding this little one and finding out if the baby is a boy or girl!
    • Watching my son meet the new baby and him become a big brother.
    • Seeing my husband snuggle the baby and get to fall in love with him in new ways that I didn't know were possible.
    • New traditions.

For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition that I made to him.

  • @Cbeanz make sure you're staying hydrated while nursing! Make your husband keep bringing you water! But to go all night without peeing would feel amaaaaaaaazing.

  • MARGARITA!!
    being skinny again
being able to get comfortable in the couch, in a chair, in bed.
Sugar- on the GD train here so I've cut out sugar and limit the carbs.
    Carbs, bread, PASTA!
Not having to drive an hour each way 2-3x a week for Drs appointments.
Being able to see down there- less about wanting to see it, more about being tired of DH having to help me landscape.

  • Its so funny that I'm not the only one craving margaritas!  I can't wait. Also looking forward to breathing through my nose, sleeping on my stomach, and hopping in DH's lap.  I tried this the other day and it was comical.

  • -Pub sub!!! I've told DH he needs to bring me one of these immediately after baby gets here.
-Insert alcoholic beverage of all types here. I've never liked beer, but man have they looked good lately.
-Being able to sit, lay, walk, move, breathe comfortably.
    -No more rib pain.
-Being able to put on undies, pants and shoes easily.

  • Being able to sleep on my back or side or stomach as I choose.

To loose my newly acquired tree trunk limbs & overall swelling.  I feel like a whale and can't wait to loose this extra layer of water flub.
  • I can't wait to see DD as a big sister. She is so excited for the baby, and it just melts my heart. I know I will bawl when she is brought up to the hospital to meet our new little one.

Also, as much as I can't wait to hold this baby in my arms, part of me is also looking forward to being able to put them down. My back is ready for a break.
  • Having a Starbucks frapachinio (sp) hubby won't let be drink coffee right now. Sleeping on my stomach, I've also been craving alcohol but I think it's because I can't have it. Cause I rarely drink. Not having to get up to pee every hour. My hips and shoulders hurting. Being tired all the time.

  • @longliveregina oh lord. You're so right. Ugh. Why do people have to be so nosy?

@mecoats I have to say pregnant sex hasn't been terrible when it happens! Sorry that wasn't true for you

  • 1. sleeping however I'm comfortable. I'm just dying to sleep on my back again.
    2. Not feeling so out of shape. Between breathing, not being able to walk very far, extra effort to get things off the floor, get out of bed, get off the couch. I just want to feel normal again and be able to workout.
    3. Not worrying so much about food. I'm not a huge eater of anything on the "no list", so it's not that. It's - will this give me heartburn? If I don't eat within the next 30 min, I know I'll start getting nauseous. I'm just so over having to think so much about what I'm eating or not eating.

  • Being able to eat Sushi, drink wine, fit into my normal clothing and not feel like the baby is wedged in my ribs. But in the end, it is ALL worth it!
