Yay they had a bed for me! Hoot hooked up with Pitocin around 3 and they just upped it. Last check I was 4cm ish. No contractions really but I did order a Belgian waffle so there's that. Will update when I can!
Update! Came in at about 4cm. They had to shut pitocin off for a few hours because baby's heart rate was very high and then plummeted. Got hooked back up and my water broke around 2:45am. Was checked and was at 6cm. Got the epidural around 6:00 this morning so we are resting up!
Just a quick update! Baby Wyatt joined us on Saturday Feb 25 at 12:30 in the afternoon. He was 7 lbs 14oz and 20.5 ins! He has big blue eyes and giant feet! I will post an announcement once we get home today but mom and baby are doing well!
I think I am finally able to update with a birth story! FTMing is rough and I am finally resting for 5 seconds haha.
Got the call on Friday 2/24 there was a bed for us so we headed In around 1:30. They hooked me up to the pitocin after a check said I was 4cm. Didn't do too much until around 8 or so (I'm guessing on the times here). Tried to get some rest before contractions started. Around 9 4 doctors rushed into my room because I guess baby's heart rate went way up and then plummeted. They gave me oxygen and tried to regulate his heart rate. They did after about 20 mins. Their whispers said if they didn't they would've broken my water since I was 6cm by then and may have had to c section him out. I'm glad neither of those had to happen. Hooked me back up to pit and my water broke at 2:45am. I labored mostly on the ball until about 6am when I got the epidural. I tried to get some rest but at around 9:30m I started to feel that "I need to pooooooop!" Pressure. The doctor checked me and I was 10cm so it was time to start pushing. We didn't really got going till about 10. I have no idea how I would do it without the epi, there's was so much pressure but much less pain than I thought. It was just so tiring and draining to go for that long. The nurses were amazing and held my legs for 2.5 hours non stop. I wanted my fiance there for coaching and not worrying about a job to do. Anyway, I pushed for 2.5 hours and at 12:30pm on 2/25 Wyatt was born! He was much bigger than we thought and definitely taller!
Thank is everyone! It's day 2.5 at home and it is the first time I feel caught up and not constantly trying to feed a baby haha. Can't wait to figure all of this out!
