Hahah! That's me when I tell people that I plan on working up until I deliver. Their faces are priceless. I have no reason (so far) not to! Of course I'm working!
WTF dr's office? Yesterday my u/s was a 2pm and dr appt at 3:45pm, so after my u/s we went to the mall to walk around since they're right next to each other and we brought DS so he could see the baby (he is FASCINATED by doctors, so we figured he would behave) so we wanted to keep him entertained. Anyway, when I got back to the dr's office alone (Dh went home, he didn't need to stay for my dr appt), I had 4 missed calls and a voicemail asking me where I was for my appt. I walk back there to the nurse's station and was like, uh thought it was at 3:45pm guys. They said no, we'd never make you come back we were going to see you right after the u/s. Then why didn't you say anything when you saw me walk by an hour ago???? You were all sitting in the same spots!! The nurses were literally so rude and flipping out about it. They've made me wait before so why would I have assumed yesterday to be any different? I guess now I know for next time, but still.
@KirstinH88 I get the same reaction as well! I'm working till I deliver if I can, just like I did with DS. He was born 2 days after my last day of work haha.
One of my dear friends whom I love deeply is nevertheless so opinionated and judgy. Lol. I actually have no idea how we are friends. But she came for my shower this weekend and while one other friend was asking about labor and how I'm feeling about childbirth and concerns about PPD and transitioning to motherhood, she was fixated on my plans for losing weight. Like wtf. I haven't even gained that much yet and that's the least of my postpartum concerns. What are you saying about me?
In her defense, while both of these friends are single and without kids, the one has nephews and is looking forward to marriage and motherhood and this one is totally disinterested in having a family anytime soon. So I guess that is all she would think about for her own self too and it came naturally to her. But it did hurt a little that weight was all she cared to ask about!
@ashleym112 My last day of work was a Friday, but only because DS was born on Sunday. Otherwise I would have returned to work on Monday. This time, the latest I'll stay is until my due date, so 4/28 is my last day of work, but hopefully he will come a little early and it will be earlier than that.
WTF to drivers in my city. I consider myself to be a fairly considerate and even-keeled driver, but things that I used to be able to let go of fairly quickly (people changing lanes right in front of me, driving past a line of waiting cars and trying to cut in, etc.) now send me into mini fits of RAGE. I have become that person who gesticulates (no middle fingers yet but I've gotten close!), swearing, etc. Do not upset the pregnant lady while driving!! Hahaha
Put me in the boat of working right up til delivery. With DS I worked til 5, went into labor the next morning at 4am and had him at noon. Hoping things work out as perfectly this time! I need to save all the PTO I can so I don't want to take off any earlier than I have to!
My WTF today is DS. Seriously kid, I love you lots but please for the love of everything holy and your mother's sanity these last few weeks before baby, SLEEP ALL NIGHT! Stop coming in my room every two hours for me to just walk you back to bed. I'm glad you don't throw a fit and go right back to bed but seriously, when you get up, I have to pee every single time and then it takes me almost a hour to get back to sleep and then soon you are back again. I am SO tired and plus have to function for work on very very little sleep these days.
@KirstinH88 I went to work AFTER my water broke with DS! HA! My supervisor is the CFO, and he is usually calm and collected, but he looked like his eyes where going to pop out of his head when I told him my water broke a couple of hours prior, and I was going to leave for the day. I just needed to pop in and get my laptop, and get a couple of items squared away. DS was born that night.
WTF me! I just looked at my drivers license this morning to file my taxes, and it expires next week! I thought for sure I had another year or two left. Now, I have to get my drivers license pic huge, swollen, and pregnant. Not cool.
We have no water in the office. So they brought in porta potties. That's not how it works. No water to drink, flush, make lunch.... cancel work for the day!
I already posted this in the wednesday ticker change, but it felt good to rant a bit, so I'll do it again. Is anyone else finding that all anyone wants to talk to you about is pregnancy? I was at my sister's on the weekend and ALL my mom and two sisters talked about was pregnancy and labour and delivery. Then we met with some of my sister's friends, and that's ALL they talked about around me. I eventually left because I was so tired of it. I get that it's something that a lot of women have in common, but c'mon I don't want to talk about it ALL THE TIME. I'm still me! I still have other interests. I don't need to hear how terrible your labour pains were or about how my hooha can rip. There's nothing I can do!

@pammasu0909 oh my gosh! There's no way I would be able to do that. When do they think it will be back on?
@doozenberg yeah--lunch room conversation at work especially. I've decided if I'm tired of it I just turn around and try to change the subject with a question about the other person and see if they can go on for awhile about themselves. Sometimes it works. But I've decided that it's just gonna be the norm, and then later I'm gonna have to fight to talk about things other than "how are the kids?" Sigh.
@rachelmiller03 Girl you CRAY!!!! And sometimes you don't have to retake your picture to renew your license... Hopefully not this time for you anyways.

This is mine, too. Like, what did you talk to me about before I was pregnant?
My WTF Wednesdays are always about my kid. WTF DS, either take the damn naps you need without throwing giant avoidance fits and making me waste hours of time trying, OR drop them and stop acting like I keep you sleep deprived as a torture technique all day. I'm so over it. Pick one!
Wtf morning sickness! I've been doing so well on half doses of diclegis for the past few weeks, so I tried not taking it last night. I was doing so good today until I just projectile vomited everything I ate for the day.
Wtf to people commenting on the size of my bump! The most recent one was, there is no way your gonna make it to April with that bump. Like seriously?! ( this coming from a nurse in the maternity ward)
@rachelmiller03 I had to get a new license picture a few weeks ago.. someone almost walked in front of me and made me laugh so I'm making a weird laugh face and even my nose looks fat. It's awful.
@KirstinH88 I worked until 2 days before my due date with DD. Everyone said I was going to go early.. she was 3 days late.. my water broke and I was super calm about giving birth but freaked out that everyone was going to forget about my dog .. so I took her for a walk to the park.. gave her fresh water and packed a few things in a bag before calling my doctor and husband.. drove to pick DH up at work on my way to the hospital.. I still can't believe how calm It all seemed.
This time I took time off to spend with DD and BC I'm having a lot more problems and people keep asking why I'm off work already.
@mommybrasil I keep getting told I'm huge, asked if I'm sure it's not twins, if they're sure my dates are right.. etc. It's a situation you gotta roll your eyes and ignore.. girls on here have the opposite problem as well.. you can't seem to win.. no one ever thinks you're just right.
WTF to my husband. I seriously can't stand him right now. I am so over feeling like he cares more about his stupid dog than he does his pregnant wife. Not going to lie when I say I have thought very mean thoughts about that dog over the last week.

@schef070911 me too! I've not been a very ragey prego about most things but traffic pisses me off to no end! So much road rage!
