@alemarie1 I'm so sorry you find yourself here. These women are so supportiveness. I lost my angel in October 2016 too. I also live in Massachusetts. I'm on the south shore.

Welcome @alemarie1! I'm so sorry about the loss of your precious angel. I'm also a New Englander that got dumped on with snow! I nanny for someone in the school system and we got three consecutive PJ days! That part was awesome but the amount of shoveling that came with 20" of snow was definitely not.

Well I heard from my new doctor's office. The scheduler was wonderful! She told me that all the doctors in the practice work together and if one is more experienced with the patients circumstances, the patient will either be referred to that doctor or that doctor will be brought in to consult and help with the treatment plan. She said "let's get you in to establish care, look at your history, create a treatment plan and get you on the road to your rainbow baby." After the dismissive treatment of the support staff of my current doctor, (I had to remind the scheduler when she called to see how i was post op that she needed to book me a post d&c follow up appointment. She said "So you do want a surgical follow up?" /facepalm), this gave me hope that we've made the right decision to change doctors.
Now the difficult thing is that this new doctor is over an hour away and is associated with a hospital that is also over an hour away. This will mean that when/if we do have a successful pregnancy, we well most likely opt for a scheduled c-section as opposed to the VBAC I was considering. However this is a tradeoff I'll take to get a caring and supportive doctor and staff who understand recurrent pregnancy loss.

@rainafire77 glad this doc seems much better. It's worth the drive. I picked a hospital for next time that's around 30 minutes away for a VBAC. Now after having this loss I learned that if things don't go as planned that's ok. So I'd be ok with another c section as well
Thank you @SoonToBeMommaHowe .20 inches is lot more snow than we got. I enjoy the snow, but agree with you by not liking having to shovel it. We have warm weather coming this weekend, 40s to 50s:)
@rainafire77 I am so glad things seem to be on the right track! @alemarie1 I'm sorry you are joining us, but welcome!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@SP128- have you been TTC a year yet? Good luck with the appt. We don't have any fertility coverage so I want to give us some more time before we go that route.
Thats good @SP128 - hopefully you will get some answers/ help there. I know when I made my appt it was weird - its like how did we go from excitedly ttc to here?
Met with OB who did my D&E yesterday - she is great.. I don't know what I did on this planet to deserve all the amazing medical care I have received - now if only they could find me answers! (I will say the support staff is not the best but I deal with it for the amazing OBs/MFM/Pediatrician I have) Anyway it was really interesting to hear a real reason for waiting to TTC. I've always heard the standard '1 or 2 cycles' but she said she thinks we should wait at least 2 cycles to let my cervix heal. I've had 3 D&C/D&E procedures in the last year and she doesn't want me to have cervix issues in next pregnancy.
Its also always so interesting to hear perspectives from female doctors on what they would do - if they would try again. The answers have been a mixed bag for sure.
She also did an ultrasound and found a mature follicule and she said I'll ovulate today or tomorrow. good news to get back on track.

@ladipale I'm glad you are getting good care. I love my OB too and it's sucks that I'm moving so I'll have to find a new OB. I hope your time on the bench goes by fast!
@ladipale I'm glad you're getting excellent care. That makes such a difference, I think, in being able to focus on emotional recovery. Thinking good thoughts for you.
