    1.  Not new, but mmc 10/20/2016.  First preg

    2.  TWW on the express train to WTO.  Tested this morning- BFN @ 12DPO.  It wasn't FMU so I'm kinda like "Maybe there is still hope...."  The BFN didn't hit me as hard as last cycle as I was expecting it and had no expectations.

    3.  Rant/Rave. Third snow day in a row.  Haven't been to work since last Wednesday.  Rave because of no work, rant because I'll be working til the end of June.

    4.  I'm a school psychologist.  It's not a bad gig.  My district is very old school and is behind the times.  I wish they were a little bit more forward thinking.  This is the second career I picked : )

Hope everyone has a good day/week.

1.) MMC in March 2016 and another in August 2016.

2.) 11 DPO haven't tested since BFN at 8 DPO which is so early that it is probably not accurate. Having on and off symptoms that could be early pg or AF. Feeling pretty good and zen right now so might hold off on testing a few more days.

3.) Feeling pretty good at 11 DPO has to be a rave right? DH and I had a good weekend too. Had fun at the casino and won back everything we gambled so we broke even.

4.) Im a paralegal - I kind of fell into it after I graduated college but Ive been doing it for 10 years now so I guess it is a career ha! I handle mostly worker's compensation for the plaintiff's which is hard because its dealing with injured people who can't get their medication, treatment, checks etc. So I deal with a lot of unhappy people complaining. But it can also be rewarding when people appreciate your work and a lot of my client's who are alone a lot just appreciate having someone to talk to.

@SP128 - I never consider myself out until AF comes! Being a school psychologist must be very interesting/ rewarding. What age level do you work with?  And you get snow days - what a job perk! :)

@TScalei  This cycle I'm kind of thinking it is what it is.  I wasn't going to test this cycle until AF was late.  However, this morning I thought that getting the negative wouldn't change anything in reality.  If I'm not preg, I'll still be not preg.  If I am, then I will get the BFP later in the cycle. I don't even know if that makes sense.  No symptoms to spot for now.

I have a middle school and an elementary school.  I also do some out of district work (kids who are better served in another placement other than the public school).  I get snow days, I get vacations and I get summers!! : )

1 - Not new - CP end of December

2 - WTO - should ovulate later this week.  Taking OPKs so I can get an accurate day for my progesterone test next week.  I've let go of everything tracking-wise and I can tell.  I've gotten annoyed just using OPKs again this week.  I know its weird but doing anything like that reminds me of when I was stressed out as to why we hadn't conceived back in the fall.

3 - wishing our cold weather was back because I've had sinus drainage for 3 days now.

4 - I'm self employed.  I teach private violin/viola lessons and I also play in our trio which has somewhere between 40-45 gigs a year.

    3. Rants/Raves vanity was painted this weekend and new counter for bathroom.  We also installed a barn door and I love it!  Can't wait for the tile work to be done but it doesn't start until march

    4. GTKY: What do you do for work?  Was it everything you hoped it would be?  If you could pick another career, would you?
I'm a probation officer.   Been doing this job at various levels since college.  I like it. It is always a different day never dull but rarely rewarding which is unfortunate. I never thought I would say this but I wish I could be a stay at home mom.  That's not in my cards though but I do get to retire in about 12 years so I'm looking forward to that

    @SP128 and @TScalei. Hopefully it's too early.

@SP128 I'm a little jealous of your snow days. We have barely had any snow this year.
@vlagrl29 My sinus/allergies have been horrible since Friday. I usually start my allergy meds the last week in Feb/beginning of March so it builds up before they get bad. Looks like this year is throwing me for a loop!
@Mack2342 We're finishing our basement right now. I can't wait to it to be all done!

    1.   Newish but not new

    2. Status -WTO

    3. One of DH's jobs is in a tiny town 4.5 hours from where we live. It's a business that can't close so all the work has to be done on nights/weekends. So this weekend we're going to make a mini vacay out of it and DS and I are going to do some chilling at the hotel pool.  We have a lot of vacations/get seats planned this year which seems awesome and overwhelming at the same time. DH was so busy last year we didn't take any. April we're going to gulf shores for a wedding, sometime we're going to Branson, September we're going to Nashville and I'm sure sometime in there we'll go out to SIL's in Denver.

    4. GTKY: What do you do for work?  Was it everything you hoped it would be?  If you could pick another career, would you?

I do marketing and office work. I love the creative side of the marketing. And occasionally like making the visits to the people I market. Basically if I could just sit at home, on my computer, and do nothing but design marketing things and plan handouts for events I would love it. I usually feel like a juggler juggling too many balls though. I have the marketing part as well as entering receipts, invoices, etc and still keeping track of different events we can do and researching promotional things and new events we can sponsor/participate/volunteer for.

@SP128 I work in public school education too.  My school tries to stay on top of the trends and it is actually setting us behind because we keep changing focuses and never really master anything.  I would love something a little in-between the two sides of the spectrum.  Sorry for the bfn.

@TScalei  I feel like there are very few jobs that deal with happy situations rather than negative ones. Sucks.  I love your positive attitude btw!

@vlagrl29  Sorry for the sinus probs.  I had that about 3 weeks ago.  And you are free to have our snow new england weather because I am sick of it.  Close to 2 feet of snow over the past week and another storm projected on Wednesday.

@Mack2342  I love the barn door idea but it sooooo does not fit with the aesthetic of our house.

@SeriouslySirius Vacations are the only reason I work.  Never been to Nashville.  I was supposed to go in the fall but had my ectopic and then had to cancel.  I don't think I will ever make it back thre because of the negative feelings connected tot he trip but it seems like such a fun place. I am a huge live music fan and I hear that is the place to hear amazing tunes!

    AFM

    1.  Unfortunately not new. Ectopic 9/23 CP last cycle.
    2.  I have no idea where O is. I am CD18 with no signs.  Maybe I am not Oing this cycle.
    3. Rant- I am sick of the snow.  We have had over 2 feet in my area and it just keeps coming. I can't walk my dogs in this weather because they get ice balls all over their fur!  I feel so bad.  And the result of not walking them turns them into little hyperactive devils that destroy the house.
    4. I am an art teacher.  I love my job other than dealing with crazy parents which unfortunately takes up a lot of my time.  I am switching to the upper elementary level next year which I am looking forward to.  Hopefully the grass is greener!

  • Options
@Seriouslysirius -DH and I did a bunch of trips last year and it definitely helped with my losses. WE went to Nashville last year and absolutely loved it - it so fun and vibrant with great food, love music and some cool historical places too. I am sure you will have a blast.
@Justsuzie- I feel like crazy parents really ruin teaching for so many people which is a shame. Im sure you will enjoy the older grades more. Im jealous of your artistic talent though, I have no artistic ability whatsoever. Do you have an etsy shop or anything like that?

    1.   Introduce yourself. If you're new, this is the perfect place to jump in and let us know a little about you. Not new but as always I'm Mimi. Had a MC/PUL in August '16 and a MMC At 12 weeks in Jan.

I'm so sick of this storm. In all honestly the blizzard that we were suppose to get I'd pretty mild so far. I'm off today so no biggie anyways.

    4. GTKY: What do you do for work?  Was it everything you hoped it would be?  If you could pick another career, would you?
I am self employed with my husband we owned a food truck and now restaurant. My family has always been in the restaurant business though and it's ok. Since its all so new I'm just really tired, awaiting the day I can get busier so I can train staff up and not have to be there everyday it's open.

@SP128 we are suppose to get snow again on Thursday as well and Sunday. It's like winter of '15 all over again!
@TScalei yay for fun times at the casino glad you broke even ;)
@vlagrl29 I used to play violin when I was younger. I sometimes wish I had more time so I could pick up all my old instruments again.
@Mack2342 project sounds like it's coming along great!
@SeriouslySirius I hate office/paperwork too. It's always constant and so boring. I'd much rather stay behind the line in a kitchen than deal with paperwork lol.
@justsuzie I feel you on the snow! I'm sick of having to close or close early and it affecting my business too. Relentless!
  • Options
@justsuzie- well I don't want as much snow as you are getting but a few inches would be nice.  Our winters use to be much better.  We've only had 4 inches thus far this season and it makes me sad because I'm a snow lover.

@MimoCa - its never too late - I have 2 adult students one of which is 81.  I much prefer teaching privately so I don't have to deal with all that crap that public school teachers have to deal with.

@TScalei No ETSY shop sadly.  The business aspect of that is too daunting!.  How has your doggy been with the snow?  <----Or perhaps you are someplace luckier and sunnier without snow!

@MimoCa Sounds deliciously fun! If I cooked for my job I would weigh 300 lbs because I love eating, like LOVE it.  What kind of food do you guys make?  (And I am sick of this weather too.)

@vlagrl29 Winter is depressing when it's only cold with hno snow!

@justsuzie - she loves the snow! But she does get the ice balls all over her too - she loves eating and licking them off. lol I try to get her out in in it as much as possible bec she too is a hyperactive devil when you don't. Its just so hard to keep her entertained indoors.

@SP128 I had just moved back to Boston 6 month before too. It was too much lol!
@justsuzie we do Thai & Bangladeshi food. Trust me when you cook all day you get sick of food, though I wish my lack of eating would let me lose some weight lol.

@Mack2342 are you renovating? Sounds like you got heaps done for the week! My hubby and I have been renovating the house we live in for 2+ years... it has come so far but I feel like there is still so much to do! Love tiles I have a lot of matte black ones in my kitchen.

@justsuzie being an art teacher sounds like such a cool job!

@MimoCa yummmm! Your resturaunt sounds delicious. I love Thai food. I also work in a resturaunt, but just as an employee haha. How long have you been open? Hope it gets busy enough for you to start getting more staff in soon.

Sort of new... since last week. Miscarriage at 12 weeks in December. My first pregnancy.

    I am currently WTO CD10.

Rants/Raves: I'm going home... I have lived in New Zealand for nearly three years (haven't been back home to visit even once) and my mom just offered to pay for my ticket to come home. Exactly what I need right now, I am not coping well and just being around my family is going to be so good. Just hope hubby is okay being left for a month... puts ttc on hold but I just need to get away, recovering mentally is more important to me at the moment.

GTKY: I am a chef in a resturaunt. We do traditional hearty meals, steak, lamb, chicken and the likes. We are changing out menu this week while in the process of trying to find another chef so it is going to be a confusing week at work!

    3. Rants/Raves - still peeved with situations at work.  Just taking it one day at a time.  I decreased my anti-depression meds to half and will do that for a little while and then i'll stop them altogether.  So far so good.  Very thankful for no side effects.  I started them Dec 15th when we found out we were losing our baby.  Hoping to get off of them completely and find alternatives to help with stress/anxiety that leads to depression.  I have found two outlets that work - working out and bible journaling.

    4. GTKY: What do you do for work?  Was it everything you hoped it would be?  If you could pick another career, would you? I am in the banking industry.  Have been for 8 years - I didn't choose it - it fell in my lap and I just continued up the ladder, but now I'm looking for a change.

@Perfectypo the restaurant has been open for about 4 months but we had the food truck for about 2 years. Because we are focusing on the restaurant, the truck is off road and also because it's winter. Hope it's busier soon too we are in the financial hole by a lot lol. But all the restaurants up here are dead dead dead right now :(

I have my Master's in marine biology/ chemical oceanography but have been a SAHM for the last year and a half. I'm not sure I'll work in the field again though, I'm hoping to go to vet school in a few years when my husband retires from the Navy

@SP128 Snow days sound fun. Sorry it means school will go late this summer.

@TScalei It's great that you're feeling so chill at day 11/12. FX this is your cycle.

@Mack2342 I love the barn door on your bathroom!

@justsuzie I hope the snow gives you a break soon. This may sound weird, but I actually miss the snow and can't wait to move back to Wisconsin in a few years.

@MimoCa I hope business at the restaurant picks up soon.

@Perfectypo I'm glad you're getting to go home for an exended visit. It can be great to take a step away and visit family and relax a bit when life gets overwhelming.

@justsuzie and @Perfectypo Tidepooling is just climbing around on rocks along the coast when the tide is out to look for tide pools. It's pretty fun but sadly not as warm as it sounds. The water is about 50 degrees and the air is only 50-55 that close to the water. Which is warm compared to snow but still pretty chilly.

     1. Introduce yourself. If you're new, this is the perfect place to jump in and let us know a little about you.-Not new but returning. Had first MMC in Aug 2016 ending in d&c. Just had 2nd MMC & am recovering from 2nd d&c 2/14. (We did our Valentine's Day over the weekend)

    2. Status -WTO, TWW, Benched-Benched and will be for awhile. Want to get through the wedding, get established with new OB/GYN, get a few issues looked at (ovarian cyst & newly discovered fibroids) & lose some weight. I do not want to go through another MMC again.

    3. Rants/Raves-My doctor decided to order a ton of blood work for testing and didn't tell me until right before my surgery yesterday. I had not eaten or drank anything so I was dehydrated. I'm not an easy stick as it is and they wanted SEVEN vials of blood. It took five sticks to get what they needed, including 2 times in my hand, plus my iv. I'm all bruised up again.

    4. GTKY: What do you do for work?  Was it everything you hoped it would be?  If you could pick another career, would you?-I'm an accounting manager and I'm at a point I hate it. I always wanted to be a lawyer (law and and the legal system fascinate me) and I'd love to go to law school, even at almost 40. I also write and if I could ever find a way to make that pay the bills that would make me so happy.

@TScalei I have the best schedule ever. I work at an internal med clinic Tues/Wed/Thurs, various weekends travel to do military deployment assessment weekends (why I was in NM this weekend), and I used to on other weekends do urgent care on the freight ships that come into Oregon/southern Washington but they recently phased that out, now I will see them in the travel clinic the shipping company owns whenever they need me on a Friday or Monday when I'm in town. The travel clinic keeps bugging me to come work M-F full time and I just can't say yes! I love the ability to travel on weekends too much! (also to see my family in NY or TX if need be...)

GTKY: What do you do for work?  Was it everything you hoped it would be?  If you could pick another career, would you?: I'm at archivist.  I really enjoy parts of my job and think I would probably still do it if I had a re-do... unless something like "travel around and get paid for it" was an option.  :)

@SP128  Add me to the jealous of snow days list!

@MimoCa A food truck sounds like it’d be fun! Although I totally understand with it being too much.  I love baking and people always tell me I should open a bakery, but I don’t want to turn my fun hobby into a job.  Like you said, it’d get to be a lot.

Perfectypo New Zealand sounds awesome!  Enjoy the time with your family.

Mack2342 The Bathroom Reno looks great!

@ladipale sorry that you’re stressed with not getting answers.  It sucks when they can’t figure out the ‘problem’ to fix.

    1. I'm new but did my intro a few days ago. Recently experienced my 2nd blighted ovum & m/c at 7 weeks.

    2. I'm currently WTO, I'm hoping my body gets back to normal soon!

    3. I think I'm going to explode from stress & confusion! My body is so out of whack & I hate that I have no control over it. I'm worried that something more is happening & it's being missed. What if the bleeding isn't AF and something else?

    4. I'm an IB Coordinator/Guidance Counselor/ CTE Coordinator/ Athletic Advisor at a high school. While I'm usually stressed out about the many balls I have to juggle I love my job! I wouldn't change my career at all, but I may eventually head back to school a 3rd time so I can become a School Psychologist.

@SP128 Do you work for a school district? Do you love your job? I keep waffling on whether to pursue School Psych or not- I started as an ESE teacher so I feel it would be right in my wheelhouse.

@amu1234 yes, I love my job. I don't love how behind the times my district is though. It's an interesting field with good job prospects. Let me know if you have any questions.

    1.   Introduce yourself. If you're new, this is the perfect place to jump in and let us know a little about you:

**TW loss mentioned**Hi, newbie here, I'm 33, DH 41, married almost 5 years, we lost our first angel baby at 23 weeks back in October 2016.

    2. Status -WTO, TWW, Benched - TWW

    3. Rants/Raves-

We live in Massachusetts and it's been a pretty mild winter up until the last couple weeks. Last Thursday we got 12-14inches and they closed my work, it was nice to get a "snow day" from work and stay in all day in my PJS.

Rant: We usually go away to Aruba every year for President's day week and are sadly not going this year.:'(  With our approaching due date (02/22) it's like adding salt to the wounds because we skipped vacation this year. We could really use an escape from reality and a tropical vacation right now :/  I wish they would find a cure for the Zika sometime in the near future because I sure miss the Caribbean.

    4. GTKY: What do you do for work?  Was it everything you hoped it would be?  If you could pick another career, would you?
I am in Bank Management. I've been in the industry almost 14 years and I like my job but there is a lot of stress that comes with the territory. I've always wanted to be a teacher so sometimes I feel like I took the wrong path.
