Re: TWW Sunday funday

  • Month/Cycle: 7

    CD/DPO: 20/5

    Timing: good -1, O

Testing: I probably won't even get a chance.

R/R: I need help. See cs!

CS/Q: okay help. My chart is always messed up and always looks like Rocky Mountains! I have O'd on cd20 for the last 6 months. I had issues with my LP being too short so I started b6. It lengthened my LP from 8 days to 12 days but didn't change my O day. I have gotten a positive opk around cd 14 a few times before and have not O'd then get another positive around cd 19 and confirm O on cd20. This time same thing but temp is up on cd 20 and not down like usual. Any insight? Do you think FF is right or have I not O'd yet?

    GTKY:
    1. Pay off all debts
    2. Pay off all of my and dh's immediate family's debts
    3. Epic vacation for all brothers, sisters and their families. I guess our parents can come too.

  • @brooklyngirl6 what is the reason behind the open circle on CD6? If it was a temp taken late or after a particularly restless night then it could be a false high and could push you later. Definitely keep HIO just in case

    5/17:low AMH (0.89)
6/17: first IUI cycle, 50 mg clomid + ovidrel + IUI: 2 follies, BFN (count 58 million, 97% motility)
7/17: second IUI, 2.5 letrozole, OPK, IUI: 1 follie, BFN (count 9.5 million swimming- dont know percentage)
    8/17: third IUI, 5.0 letrozole,

  • @WillRunForWine21 sorry about the bfn. I have the exact same mentality as you. The good was helping me get through the bad but that is not the case anymore. As for the open circle- I literally temped 20 minutes earlier than usual. I don't know why that would create an open circle. It's the same for cd18
  • @adirat it took me everything I had not to POAS this morning! But 9dpo is super early and I'd just be crushed if it was negative. Plus, that means I can partake in some scotch tonight.  ;) have fun at brunch!!

  • @dragonfly87 We got halfway through Stranger Things. We are very into sci-fi/ fantasy so I don't know if that's your thing. If so I also recommend Black Mirror. We just finished that and I really liked it. It's a bit futuristic and really makes you stop and think about where we are headed. Also each episode is stand alone so you can watch in any order.
Also FX to you whether you decide to test today or wait it out.
  • @safire3: Thanks for the response. I have heard good things about Stranger Things, so we will check it out. I decided to test...BFFN. Great way to start a Sunday...

  • Have some questions for you ladies. I know we are still early on in our TTC journey, but with cycle 6 likely starting tomorrow, I am starting to think about a few things. I know a lot will say to TTC for one year before seeking RE help, but TCOYF suggest starting some testing if you try for 6 cycles with well timed sex. We have managed really great timed sex for 5 cycles and we will see what happens next month.

I am just wondering, when did some of you start (i.e., cycle/month) to have some tests done? Like SAs, blood work etc? I am still trying to stay optimistic, but also developing a mental timeline of what I would do next if we get to a certain cycle. I don't know if I could wait until the 1 year mark without some kind of action plan.

  • Ugh, sorry at @LuND @Dilynne :/ I was hoping one (or more!) if you would have good news this morning.  <3

Sorry for the BFN ladies, so many hugs @LuND @dragonfly87@FLAshley @WillRunForWine21 @Dilynne

@BertieMeetsGertie my fingers and toes are crossed for you!

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD/DPO: 19/1

    Timing: not bad considering

Testing: DHs bday is 3/5, I know it's insane but there is a small part of me that wants to test on his bday

R/R: I am a bit hungover today, but totally worth it. Made jt through all the family awkwardness with a couple bottles of wine.
It's so gorgeous out here today!

    CS/Q: nothing

GTKY: If you won a ridiculous amount of money (like 300 million) what would be the top 3 things you would do with it?

    1. Pay off debts (ours and family)
    2. Move and buy a new house
    3. Some philanthropic endeavour, probably related to women's health

  • @dragonfly87 I think the official recommendation is 1 yr if you are under 35 and 6 months if 35 or over. However I think it depends a lot on the RE and I definitely see lots of ladies here starting testing around the 6 month mark regardless of age. Personally, I waited for the 1 year even though I am close to 35 and I regret it now. The testing itself takes at least 1 month if everything goes perfectly. For us, due to difficulty scheduling everything it will probably take us 2 months to get all the testing done. Our RE wants us to get everything done then come back to meet with him with all the results and make a plan. Also due to the cost of treatment and our insurance not covering it, if everything is ok with the testing, my DH wants us to try a few more months on our own. I kind of feel like this is something we should have done months ago. Not to mention if there is something wrong I will feel like we wasted so much time and effort for nothing. *sigh* I hope this long rant help you in some way.
  • Thanks for the response! Definitely helpful. Sorry it has taken a while on scheduling testing. That is something I would want to be cognizant of because there are only a few REs in our area. I have no idea what my insurance would or wouldn't cover either.
  • @dragonfly87 to add to what @safire3 said, interestingly my PCP said after 6 months of trying she would want me to see an RE as I turned 35 this month, however my new gyn said after a year. That said, I have learned a lot from these ladies and my gut says if this month isn't our month I will be setting up an appt with an RE. I don't personally feel comfortable waiting a year given my age.

  • @LuND I am so sorry. I really hope that NTNP is the answer for you. Take as much time as you need, we will be here <3

  • @wabash15 oh honey I am sorry it's such a rough day for you.  Hugs!!

  • @dragonfly87 I don't think it's usually recommended to go to an RE before 1 year unless you have abnormal test results etc, but it doesn't hurt to ask your regular doctor to start basic testing. If everything comes back clear, I'd wait until the 1 year mark.

  • @wabash15 sorry you're having a rough day. I've seen numerous pregnant ladies the past week and it's getting increasingly difficult. Hugs, lady. And I hope your kiddos start feeling better real soon!

  • @wabash15 Hugs friend. I know how hard it is, and I can only imagine it's especially compounded with how high stakes this cycle feels. FX.

    @jess0211 Welcome to TWW!

@dragonfly87 There is no reason to see an RE sooner than a year if you are under 35 unless you think something is wrong. I know you thought something was concerning about your thyroid, right? Get that checked out with your PCP/endocrinologist first. There is no reason to see an RE when you have a separate issue being investigated -- all they're going to tell you is to wait until your thyroid is sorted and try TTC after that. Going prematurely is a waste of your time/money and is a waste of the RE's time for people who really need to see him or her.

  • @adirat: Oh I wasn't planning to see an RE. My response to safire3 may have been confusing. I was just saying if I needed to see one, scheduling would be difficult since there are few in our area. My plan would be to have testing done through my OB first. The lab is backlogged for my results (only one lab in our area), so I am waiting to hear back on thyroid tests.
  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

CD/DPO: 26/9? Thought it would have been sooner but according to OPK I wasn't at peak until 9 days ago

    Timing: -4, -3, -2, 0

    Testing: BFN this morning

R/R: I told myself I wouldn't test until AF is late but then really wanted to test this morning. Should've waited... could still be early though I guess but I'm still new to all of this so I'm not even totally sure of everything I'm doing.

    CS/Q

GTKY: 1. Pay off our debts/house 2. Payoff our parents and siblings debts 3. Take all of our family on a vacation

Testing: penciled one in for next Friday ;)

R/R: I can't tell if I'm being SUPER moody or if my husband is being an asshat. I've cried like 4 times this weekend cos he keeps using the wrong "tone" with me. He's writing a big paper for school and I'm symptom spotting, natch.

I did pre-order all my live plants and picked out my seeds for my garden today!

CS/Q: Nothin' new here. Still hanging out around 98 F.

GTKY: Of course I'd pay all the debt and buy a dream house somewhere. Then, I dunno, try to figure out the best way to make some good in the world out of it.
  • Popping in from WTO because I wanted to check on the Sunday Pact - so sorry for BFNs @LuND  @WillRunForWine21 @flashley @dragonfly87 @Dilynne, was really hoping for lots of grad outcomes from the Pact :(

FX for you @wabash15 and FX for a DH bday BFP for you @jess0211!

    Month/Cycle: 6/6

    CD/DPO: 18, 5 ish

    Timing: EOD

Testing: Not until AF is late
R/R: I have my fasting blood test tomorrow to check for diabetes. I'm not sure what that would mean for us TTC. From what I've read so far it makes TTC difficult and for a risky pregnancy. Lately I've been feeling drawn to adopting, maybe that's why (God's plan and all that, even though I'm not really religious).  I'm not against IF treatment or anything but I don't think it's something I would do. Of course that's a decision for me to make with DH, not just by myself. I'm not scared about the impending results though. Of course I very well could be diabetes free but then I think I'll be searching for some other reason as to why I'm not KTFU yet haha.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: Pay off debts and my parents' debts and retire my parents and inlaws. Travel a lot. Start community garden programs for inner city areas.
