Re: Weekly Symptoms Thread 2/13

  • How are you doing @gavzillaxo

I'm so tired and so bloated. So fluffy. Terrible gas pains because it just doesn't move.
Tailbone pain is still present, kinda feels like my left buttcheek cramps up through the tailbone when I do certain movements. It's worst at night when I've been on my feet all day. Getting up from a chair or bed at night is terribly painful. But sitting is fine.

  • @margareth Have you been checked for a possible UTI?
  • My constant need to pee has gotten worse today. Both in frequency and quantity of pee. I can barely make it through a meeting at work without running to the restroom.

  • @JNR6510 I'm not sure!  I'm a FTM so this is all new to me.  I have heard the term lightning crotch before but I'm not sure because it's not "lightning" awful just a little uncomfortable!

Yes!!! I had training with my manager and then immediately after a meeting with the director, all in all 2 hours long. I had to pee sooo bad by then time I was done I felt like I was going to explode!
  • @jesigirli I'm so sorry you're having a rough time. If it's any consolation your post made me LOL (the part about getting down to your birth weight).

    @Sugargirl1019 That sounds awful. Hugs.

I'm still doing fairly well so I'm counting my blessings. Occasional constipation and gas, sore boobs, runny nose, vivid dreams...

  • I'm 9+6 and so. freaking. tired. I can't remember the last time I stayed up past 9:30 (and that was with a nap). Normally I'm out by 8:30. I'm also having either the beginnings of SPD or round ligament pain when I walk. :(

@jessieR358 two things... @lahearn18 and I both ordered this butt pillow for tailbone pain on amazon it's on sale right now normally $90 but on sale for $27 right now! She says she loves it, mines still shipping :( but I'll let you know when I get it if it helps!!!
Also, yes I'm still nursing. My nipples are on fire when I nurse but I haven't grown either cup wise. I did get an awesome maternity/nursing bra. I loooove it. Super comfy. And I got it at Walmart lol!
Well I see patients in my office all day long so I'd be so embarrassed to have a butt pillow lol. However, it may get so extreme that I don't care. It was shooting pain this evening when I tried to move from the chair after dinner.
I'm a financial advisor and have clients in my office too...but I have my chair tucked in and I promptly sit on chair lol. I also ordered that cushion.
I'm a nurse practitoner in a retail clinic so I'm up and down and the chair is everywhere. But you're right, it doesn't look that bad! But it's weird. It really doesn't hurt that much when I'm sitting. It's when I've been sitting for a while and go to stand up. Then it's SUPER painful. Or just by the end of the day from walking around, it's so painful. I'm waddling around by the end of the day like I'm 9 months pregnant. My DH got me a massage GC for my birthday this weekend so I plan on using that sooner than later.
  • @Basherbaby thanks-- I did have a UTI (just a minor one, they said) and was on antibiotics for a week. This was 3 or so weeks ago, and I've gotten checked since then and it appears to be gone... but it'll be good to check again at my appt next week.
  • 12 weeks today!
This week has been all about headaches. I usually don't drink soda, but I've found a bit of the caffeine seems to help.
The vivid dreams continue, and I think I slept weird, because I've had a weird pain in my upper chest shoulder, but it feels like a pulled muscle.
Other than that, just super tired still.

  • 8 weeks+5 days, still nauseous and an upset tummy. I feel like if I eat ready made or shop bought meal my tummy gets upset. I need to early in the morning and the pain keeps looming always.
  • Does anyone get migraines with auras?? I'm suffering over here

Yes, my aura starts out as a kaleidoscope spot in one eye and then as it progresses my peripheral vision goes black. The only thing that somewhat helps is taking some Tylenol, drinking something with caffeine, and putting an ice pack on my neck. Mine started in high school, I used to get such bad headaches I would throw up :(

I haven't in a while, but I used to get terrible migraines. Ice on my head/neck helped and some times it would help to put my feet in hot water and then put ice on my neck. (This pulls the extra blood away from your head)

  • Officially diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum. I had to get fluids yesterday and I'm on compazine now too to help decrease nausea/vomiting. Did I say this is my last pregnancy? Because this is my last pregnancy.

  • @jesigirli  Oh no! I'm so sorry... a girl I went to school with had it with both pregnancies, and I know she was absolutely miserable. She did say at 12 weeks it got drastically better, so FX it will for you, too.

  • @hollygolightly09 thank you! With my first I was sick as well, just not this sick and meds worked with her. This time around n/v meds only helps a tiny bit. Once I hit 12/13 weeks last time I was way better so I'm hopeful the same will be true this time around.

    @daniellelynette, @HollyGolightly09,
Ugh they are the worst I started getting an aura on Sunday so I prepared for a massive migraine..but it never came only a minor migraine as I call them lol but since then which is now 5 days I have had a smaller sized aura in my peripheral it's driving me effing insane...doctors just keep saying to take Tylenol and caffeine but it's not the headache that's bothering me it's the aura...it's so weird
  • @paige0704 try way upping your water intake. That usually saves me from the dreaded aura
  • @ellemnop90 yep I know exactly what you mean, definitely a normal pain. It is very strange! this is my third and I remember it a lot more with my first.
  • I'm sad to hear that some of y'all are suffering, but so happy that I'm not alone! I'm 11 weeks today and am still nauseous, fatigued, and depressed. I am on Diclegis and it is helping, but not 100%. I have a high stress job and I am just completely unmotivated to go into work because I feel so crappy. I felt SO MUCH better at 17 weeks in my first pregnancy, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
  • Symptoms suddenly diminishing since yesterday, I am 9 weeks today, had a blood test done yesterday, was jabbed 3 times to get the amount required, I wonder if that caused my sudden loss of symptoms? But really, should I be worried I feel better or normal? I might be speaking too soon but had my nausea and sickness for 1 and a half week!
  • 11+1 I find myself out of breath a lot now. Picking up DS's toys and cleaning, usually not a problem but now I have to take a break to catch my breath alll the time. It's strange.

It's not that strange. Happened to me unloading the dishwasher. Made me feel completely useless.

Happened to me too while I was cleaning the kitchen. Makes me feel very out of shape and useless.
  • @bridge-and-wall @JNR6510 I think DH might be thinking I'm faking or exaggerating! Not sure he believes me that I'm already this out of breath lol I didn't have it this early last time! Which I guess is why it feels so strange!
  • 10wks tomorrow. anyone else having sleep issues? I cant stay asleep for the life of me.
  • @daniellelynette @JNR6510 @bridge-and-wall  OMG, yes! I got out of breath changing laundry over yesterday, and climbing one flight of stairs at school Thursday. So weird.

@ShreyaR - maybe they didn't see your post? Or dont have something to add? I didnt earlier bc i was commuting to work...
Symptoms come and go frequently. It's always concerning when they disappear for a bit i know i was when my nausea lightened up but i find my nausea stopped being all day and is only at night now. As the 1st trimester winds down more symptoms dissipate. As hard as it is to not be concerned theres no way to know anything without a scan or other tests or if you experience heavy bleeding with cramping. I dont believe your blood draw experience has anything to do with it. Sometimes it depends on the person drawing the blood. Ive had one and done and one time it took 2 different people and a bunch of bandaids lol. Also if you havent eaten enough or drank enough water at the time of blood draw it can cause your veins to be more flat.

  • @sheryaR I know it's hard not to worry, but try not to. I think every one of us here has experienced symptoms coming and going. I thought I was over my morning sickness at 9 weeks, then after a few days, it came back and was even worse than before. Hang in there!

@daniellelynette @HollyGolightly09 @JNR6510 @bridge-and-wall - Add me to the out of breath group! I am already feeling like a fatty, then I can't do anything without getting out of breath! I take the elevator at work to go up 1 floor! I just put laundry in the wash and sounded like I had done it while doing jumping jacks or something, lol!

I have actually been starting to feel a lot better the last few days. If it weren't for this cold I currently have, I would feel awesome today. I woke up at 8 am and was wide awake and actually had energy. This does not happen to me - especially on a Saturday. I've had a lot less nausea the last few days and I am hoping I am coming out of it for real this time! I would say I am getting more pregnancy brain though. I had a hard time ordering bagels at a restaurant this morning and sometimes I do things that are so dingy.

  • @daniellelynette
i wish someone would respond to my lack of sleep post...oh wait I don't take stuff that personal. but yes so hungry so full and i don't really want what you're offering me to eat either lol.
  • @lahearn18 I didn't even see your lack of sleep post lol  :D I wake up without fail every morning around 3 to pee and then can't go back to sleep and am just freaking exhausted all day. I just took a long nap with DS lol
  • @daniellelynette LOL. At least I'm not the only one. I wake up at 2:15 and 4:15 every damn morning and my ability to go back to sleep gets less and less
