@lahearn18 I'm usually awake until 6-7 ish. I can close my eyes but not really sleep. After 7 it seems like I can go back to sleep but I always wake right back up with DS. I feel like a zombie
Symptoms suddenly diminishing since yesterday, I am 9 weeks today, had a blood test done yesterday, was jabbed 3 times to get the amount required, I wonder if that caused my sudden loss of symptoms? But really, should I be worried I feel better or normal? I might be speaking too soon but had my nausea and sickness for 1 and a half week!
So.. symptoms coming and going can be a real mind f. But blood draws did not cause your nausea to go away. I'm sorry you're so stressed. That nausea may come back to bite you! You can always call and express your concerns to your doc, but they typically won't have you in unless you're bleeding and cramping. Hang in there, take a deep breath.

@ShreyaR - maybe they didn't see your post? Or dont have something to add? I didnt earlier bc i was commuting to work... Symptoms come and go frequently. It's always concerning when they disappear for a bit i know i was when my nausea lightened up but i find my nausea stopped being all day and is only at night now. As the 1st trimester winds down more symptoms dissipate. As hard as it is to not be concerned theres no way to know anything without a scan or other tests or if you experience heavy bleeding with cramping. I dont believe your blood draw experience has anything to do with it. Sometimes it depends on the person drawing the blood. Ive had one and done and one time it took 2 different people and a bunch of bandaids lol. Also if you havent eaten enough or drank enough water at the time of blood draw it can cause your veins to be more flat.
10+2 I can't sleep past 8am no matter how tired I am. Some days are fantastic and I don't have any nausea and then others are horrible. Idk what pooping is anymore since I haven't done it in forever. Is it second try yet?
For the out of breath ladies, I haven't experienced that yet (I also rarely leave the couch so there's that, too lol) this pregnancy but with DS it started around 8ish weeks and ended close to 14 or 15 weeks. I think it coincides with our blood volume changing and the placenta trying to figure it's ish out.
+1 on the out of breath, sleeping poorly train. I huff and puff around the house like a fat kid in gym class, and forget walking and taking at the same time- ain't happening! I also wake up to pee at least twice a night, and I've been having the most vivid, odd dreams that wake me up.
How are the butt pillows helping? Any updates with those? Lol
Going well!! If i dont use it there is a difference. I forgot it in the car and paid the price the other day. I am thinking about just ordering a 2nd one. 1 for the office and 1 for home/car
@Msashley2010 they are coccyx support cushions some of us have been having strange tailbone area pain.
I totally did get mine and I do like it! I have to make sure I sit on it right or my stupid tailbone hurts worse but it does help with the tailbone and this fun new pain I've been getting in my right hip! I'm still giggling about how long we've been talking about our butt pillows tho lol! It makes it possible for me to sit on the floor again! DS has already spilled two different foods on it so I'm grateful for the washable cover lol
Definitely not having issues sleeping, I'm sorry to those that are. I do take Diclegis every night though, so that may be why. I am a freaking sloth!!! I sleep all night (besides getting up to pee) and then I can literally fall asleep for 2-3 hours during the day!!! It's insane! This morning I got up about 9, ate breakfast, and then figured I deserved a nap!! I feel so fatigued alllll the time. My nausea is still there, but *knock on wood* getting better? Lol
Worst gas of my life!!! DH is making comments about it to our 1 year old DD lol. Felt nauseous, gassy, and hungry and only wanted mozzarella sticks from Sonic so away we went. All manageable things, but the gas is unreal.
@Sugargirl1019 I'm not going to lie to you, that is a little more weight than usual in the first trimester usually about 1-5 pounds is normal for the first trimester. But it's okay! I'm sure it's from trying to keep the morning sickness away with carbs and stuff. The second tri should be easier to eat healthier and exercise more. Don't stress too much, you're still doing okay! If you gain 10 pounds every trimester you're still within the healthy range. My doctor told me 20-35 pounds is normal when you start out at a healthy weight. And I'm starting out 20 pounds too heavy and she still said that. So don't worry okay? You're doing okay.
@Sugargirl1019 I feel like I should add that I would NEVER judge anyone for anything weight related, I gained 76 pounds during my first pregnancy. I wish my doctor had told me to slow down but nobody even paid attention really. You are still doing good. But just know that my comment was meant with absolutely no judgement!
@Sugargirl1019 I'm right there with you. Just stepped off the scale at home, and I'm freaking out because I know the one at the doc is even higher. I was overweight to begin with. I definitely need to incorporate some waking/activity into my life. I've been giving myself excuses since I've been tired, but I'm getting concerned that I'm off to a bad start.
@kmdruck OMG yes. My husband told me I farted 3 times in my sleep a few nights ago!
ETA: ummm I was trying to use the iPhone app and the thing ate my post!
@Sugargirl1019 I Am reading the What to Expect... book and i think it said 1-5 pounds was normal. It said not to panic if you gain more than that and to just try to eat more vegetables and move more once you get to your second trimester and are feeling better. Even if you don't change anything, you are only 5 pounds over the "normal" range which is totally no big deal at all.
I avoid the scale at all costs. The only time I see my weight is at the dr. I'm not stressing about it this time around. Im overweight so it is what it is. I try not to over do it, but I also remember I can't stomach much healthy foods so whatever. My dr said the first Tri is more about survival, the 2nd and 3rd tri is for more heathy eating. Eat whatever you want and try not to stress! @Sugargirl1019
Oh man, has anyone else been having daily headaches? It's been really messing me up lately and I don't know what to do about it. I don't want to pop Tylenol every day because I feel like I am going to kill my liver. Has anyone tried any other methods to alleviate headaches?
@Msashley2010 YES. I had a GIANT aura in my left eye this morning so I took some Tylenol, drank a cup of coffee, chugged a bottle of water, put an ice pack on my neck, and still ended up with a migraine. It's been an awful awful day.
@Sugargirl1019 are you taking or did you take progesterone? I'm still on it and I feel it's made me gain/bloat more than I did without it with DD. Just a thought...
@Sugargirl1019 I've gained more weight than I would have liked so far, and I really think it's because of all the carbs I had when I was nauseous, and the fruits and veggies I didn't have because they made me feel sick! Don't despair, especially since the second tri will most likely bring renewed energy and diminished nausea, so you can eat better and exercise a bit more!
12 weeks and I definitely feel a huge improvement. It's such a relief not to feel the nausea (much at all) anymore! Since it's been in the 60s in NY which is uncanny for this time of year, I feel like my relief coincided with the sunshine/mild weather, which is a nice duo. Only thing I'm noticing now: a continuation of vivid dreams (geez!), and perhaps the onset of headaches. I normally don't get headaches, so I'm always like, "what's going on?!" However, this is all a walk in the park compared to Weeks 6-11, and I hope you ladies feel the relief as well. Nuchal translucency today so I'm both nervous and excited to "see" the baby again after two weeks. I really have nothing that should make me worry, but it's a PGAL thing, plus I'm kind of prone to anxiety. I'll feel a lot better at 1:30 when it's done!
