Had a conversation with one of the ladies who makes our monthly staff lunch (thank you dear woman for making me beef brisket and potatoes, but this is still a wtf). She said, "I didn't know you were pregnant! When are you due?" When I answer, her eyes bug out of her head and she says "you're due in two months and you're that small?" I smile and nod. "My doctor says she's measuring right on track."
"But she'll probably just be small, though?"
At this point I just smiled again and said "maybe! But she's growing like a weed."

Women who are small don't like their size being commented on any more than women who are measuring big, lady. Having strangers suggest your baby is too small is nerve wracking and if I didn't trust my doctor I'd be worried about it too. No thanks! I guess these things are expected now that I'm obviously showing. I'm sure I'll show sooner with baby #2 so this is good practice I guess.

Wtf friend? There is a guy I know from work who now works down the street at one of our competitors, friend may be a strong word since he generally annoys use bc of his immaturity and drama but he's a nice guy. Anyway, he deactivated his Facebook account on Monday to avoid "drama" because people weren't agreeing with his level of love and obsession with Beyonce, particularly from the Grammy's on Sunday. And when I mean disagree, they're just like she's beautiful and great, but not religiously worshiping her. He made it his personal mission to defend her no matter what people were saying on his posts, taking it very personally.

@HGRich people just need to stop commenting on bumps sizes to begin with, big or small. It's none of their business and does nothing but make the woman feel self-conscious. I do the same, I just smile and then say something like "we'll see!!" and walk away as quickly as possible so they don't see me rolling my eyes lol.

I got my very first "you look ready to have a baby" comment on Sunday. I guess I might have gotten a couple of those comments like the week before DD1 was born, but to be fair I was ready to pop. This Sunday, at 31 weeks, my pastor's wife told me I look ready. She is a very sweet, older maternal person so I was truly not offended. And then she asked my due date and I told her April 15th. I could tell she felt really bad and immediately back peddled out of that. Saying she was always so big when she was pregnant and that I look so healthy and that baby is well protected in there, etc, etc.
I definitely would have been more upset if someone less kind had said something. but, I guess I am officially big. I have been measuring 2 weeks ahead for the last 11 weeks, so it makes sense.

@HGRich People commenting on size drives me nuts!! My first pregnancy everyone commented on how I needed to eat more and was too small - Im also 6ft tall so there's a lot of room to stretch out in there. Now my second pregnancy all I get nonstop is "you're not making it to April", "that baby must be huge how are you going to get him out", "are you sure it's only one baby?"... so frustrating! I will say the second time around I'm a lot better at making fun/inappropriate comments back that make them stop pretty quickly. But it's definitely hard sometimes to not let it freak you out a little.

Excellent GIF choice, I'm still chuckling. WTF DS, why do you have a 6th sense to when I get up to pee in the middle of the night and choose that time to refuse to go back to sleep in your own bed? I'm really tired of peeling you off of me all night long and this won't fly when your baby brother is here.

Yeah i've been hearing the same thing, WTF! Yes i'm really big, much bigger than with #1 but i'm actually measuring (uterus wise) exactly on track. But I've heard it quite a few times now from people how "they can tell, the baby is about ready". And this was when i still had up to 10 weeks to go! I don't let it bother me, but seriously people, "you can really tell"?? I also hear "oh he's going to be big baby" NOPE, wrong again, he's measuring about 4 days ahead, so there wont be any 15lbs babies around here.

Yea, I'm over the commenting on bump size. I'm pretty small, but baby was measuring slightly ahead. People keep telling me that I'm going to have a tiny baby or that I'm going to get huge in the next 7 weeks. But, really, I'm about the same size as I was with DS, and he was almost 10 pounds. My uterus just sits back so these kids can use my kidneys as trampolines for 9 months. Shut it, peeps.

I love all these posts about bump size! Idk how people can justify in their minds talking to you about the size of your body just because you are pregnant! I'm still a human, still a woman, and still have feelings people! The only difference is with pregnancy hormones I might actually snap at you haha. I recently wrote a blog post about things not to say to a pregnant lady- I wrote it with humor and all in fun but I think made some good points- and have heard nothing but "you look great" and "wow, only 7 more weeks. How do you do it?!" from most people I know I in the few weeks since I wrote that post. I mean, yeah I had to fish for it, but loving all the compliments.

No need for the concern over your bump size or weight gain/ lack of! None of your business people!

My chiropractor commented that I hadn't "dropped" yet, but I definitely looked pregnant. First of all I'm not even 33 weeks. Secondly, "dropping" is a bunch of crap. People carry differently and second babies especially often do not engage in the pelvis before labor. WTF. He's a little awkward, but affordable.
