im 10 weeks and I'm already seeing noticeable changes in my nipples, like the size and even shape...i chalked it up to being in my head but DH commented on it last night...so clearly it's not just me...isn't it too early for that?

@Texafornian With our last loss, I still had symptoms for a couple weeks after. Granted we lost LO at 15 weeks. I really didn't have very many symptoms with our early losses (8 weeks or less).
@harleyquinn0621 I think you're just a bout right on time with the nipple changes.
My mother is the opposite, @lahearn18, but it's sometimes too much. She herself has never had any losses or IF, but has been incredible supportive and understanding with mine. Which has been fantastic, but she often refers to them as "OUR losses, " "OUR IF struggles," and now "OUR baby." This isn't new, my mother has borderline personality disorder, and struggles with boundaries. She's much better after years of therapy, but still seems to struggle with boundaries and balance, especially when it comes to her kids- she can't always separate herself from her us, still acting as if we're as enmeshed as a mom and her baby or toddler would be. When she's in a healthier state of mind, she's the best support. When she's less healthy, it's almost smothering.
@heatherwilson321@Texafornian I've had a few days with significantly fewer symptoms, only to have them come raging back the next day, or that evening. My doctor assures me an ebb and flow of symptoms is normal, but that doesn't help our PGAL brains any! Hang in there! (((hugs)))
@Texafornian I had a MMC and had a sharp increase in symptoms like breast soreness right before they completely stopped. That was two weeks after baby stopped progressing. Continued to have bloat until MC started, two weeks after that.
@rainafire77 so sorry you're going through this and with a crappy Dr. My first OB wasn't great, one of the doctors was but there were 4 all together. My current OB is amazing. I had them with my last PG which ended in loss. It makes such a difference. The precautions they take and the bedside manner is great . Definitely suggest finding one you feel comfortable with. Good luck!
This might be a really stupid question, but I've been taking lovenox for over a month now, and I've never had bleeding at the injection site, but tonight after my husband gave me the shot, it bled tiny drops for about 30 seconds before stopping. It also really hurt this time more than it normally does. Is bleeding at the injection site okay? I know it's a blood thinner, but it seems weird when it's never made me bleed before.

I'm a nurse. Yes, it's okay! I'm sorry it hurts so much more. Try some ice on there!
To the boob discussiom, in another group we started measuring our areolas XD Apparently you can go from 4 cm to 10 cm.... O.o I feel like my areolas are darker and slightly tiny bit bigger than before.
To the loss discussion, I lost symptoms really early on or never had any.

I woke up this morning to brown spotting/discharge... something...when I wiped. I know that CAN be normal, but it's also how my miscarriage started. Now I just feel like "this is it".
@hollygolightly09 I hope it is nothing. My doctor told me 1 in 4 women have spotting when they are pregnant. I know it is scary and I would be thinking the worst too. So fingers crossed it is normal.
@HollyGolightly09 def call your OB tomorrow and see if they can get you in. crossing my fingers that it's just normal pregnant spotting !

Hello everyone. I've enjoyed reading your stories! This is my 3rd pregnancy--no children. I had losses at 6w1d and 4w1d (I don't consider this a CP as it took over a month for my HCG to fully decline).
By the calendar, I'm 8w1d today. Based on my first u/s, I'm 7w3d. I think I ovulate late, so this is reasonable to me. We conceived naturally, and learned I was pregnant when we were in the RE's office making plans to start IVF to give us better chances with egg quality.
Physically, I have a lot of nausea and food issues. I can't bring myself to make any of my own food, and all leftovers look disgusting. The fatigue set in this week as well. I've been going to sleep around 8:00 and waking up between 5am and 6:30am depending on the day, then taking a late afternoon nap.
Mentally, I'm nervous for my next appointment, which is tomorrow morning (and may be tough to get to, given the snow we are expecting). We saw a heartbeat at the first u/s but it was only 87. We are hoping that it had just started beating and will get better results tomorrow. The dr said she was "cautiously optimistic" so I wonder if she had the same thought. But having had two previous losses, I'm concerned we will learn I have had a missed MC. :-(
No additional rants or raves today, really, except that I'm hoping for good results tomorrow. It's been hard to get attached to this LO thinking he or she may not make it.
Assuming we move forward with this pregnancy, we ABSOLUTELY will find out if it's a boy or girl! I like to have control and information--this fertility journey has been a humbling experience.
@HollyGolightly09 breathe! Call the OB tomorrow. Also try to think if there was anything you may have done the past week that may cause bleeding/spotting. FX it's nothing!
@divinemsm620 welcome! I also got pregnant naturally while working with our RE...she wanted us to move to IVF but we were going to try IUIs with injectables first but before we could we got our surprise BFP .....good luck with your ultrasound tomorrow...I'm around 10.5 weeks and still consider myself cautiously optimistic and remind myself not to get too attached yet...I'll probably feel that way until the baby is born

@HollyGolightly09 I agree with PP. Definitely see if your OB can get you in tomorrow. Do you have a local Pregnancy Care Center? We have one here that will do free US for pregnant women. That might give you peace of mind at least. FX that this LO sticks and this is just normal pregnancy spotting.
Thanks guys. I think I'm going to go ahead and take tomorrow off and just call my Dr as soon as they open in the morning. I'm pretty sure they'll get me in tomorrow.
The spotting/discharge only happened that once, but I've been kind of crampy today. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything out of the ordinary that might have caused it.
@HollyGolightly09 FX everything is good! But definitely call your OB tomorrow.
@divinemsm620 Hello, and welcome! FX everything is great at your ultrasound tomorrow!
I had a tiny bit of spotting this morning as well, and I realized that any and all spotting or bleeding I've has has correlated to days I've used monostat, and how man days in a row I've used it. So no more monostat for me, and I'm also calling my OB in the morning.
@HollyGolightly09 - We just had a similar scare with this pregnancy. Once you've had a miscarriage, the sight of blood is terrifying. I feel you. But I'm here to give you some hope too. I thought we were done for this time around when I started bleeding. I didn't have cramps, but my uterus felt like it was low and heavy. When I sat down, there was an uncomfortable pressure in my lower abdomen.
My doctor was out of the office this past week, so her nurse told us to head to the ER. The doctor there found that baby still had a heartbeat. I couldn't believe it! We were so relieved.
It turns out that I have a hematoma where the baby attaches to the uteran wall. That's where the bleeding was coming from and, according to Dr. Google, it is the most common cause of bleeding in the first trimester and doesn't necessarily indicate an imminent miscarriage. The doctor asked if I had had any recent abdominal trauma, but honestly - nothing, same as you. They gave me a shot in the bum to stop the bleeding, a prescription, some vitamins, and told me to take it easy for the next several days, then check in with my doctor later this week.
I have had no bleeding since then and I feel much, much better. The heaviness and pressure is gone. So I hope that gives you some peace of mind! I'll keep you and your little one in my thoughts and prayers.
This might be a really stupid question, but I've been taking lovenox for over a month now, and I've never had bleeding at the injection site, but tonight after my husband gave me the shot, it bled tiny drops for about 30 seconds before stopping. I'm not a nurse but have been on Lovonox more than once. It's not a problem. Sometimes it just hurts more, bleeds a bit.
@HollyGolightly09 (((hugs))) I know it's really hard to see spotting. I'm glad you're hopefully going in for peace of mind. *Try* to remember that spotting can be very normal in pregnancy (I know easier said than done.)
8w6d, day 2 with no symptoms, my PGAL brain is going insane. I'm thinking of going to one of those $50 ultrasound places on Tuesday to check on the heartbeat. My next doctor appointment isn't until the 20th.

What are those places called because I really want to go before my trip on Wednesday for the same reason!! Also 8+6...
There's one by me called First Images. I just Google 4D ultrasound, and several come up. First Images is where I did my 14 week gender ultrasound with my son, but they also do peace of mind sneak peeks from 8 to 40 weeks.
@Texafornian and @heatherwilson321 you might check if there is a local US tech school nearby. We have a community college that offers US tech degrees, and the students there will frequently put on free US days since they have to have performed so many prior to graduation. We have alot of pro-life pregnancy places that offer free US in our area too.
@HollyGolightly09 I'm in the same boat. Had tanish-brown spotting/discharge a few days ago and again today. It freaks me out too!! My OB wasn't concerned when I called last week. She said brown is old blood that worked its way out. I do have an SCH though so that's where mine could be coming from. If it gives you peace of mind at all, my doctor just said to stay hydrated and take it easy, no heavy lifting. But she wasn't concerned about a threat to the pregnancy. My scan isn't until Wednesday and I've been trying not to go batty until then! Hugs to you!
Well I've totally gotten in my head and my lack of symptoms yesterday and this morning has made me freak out a bit. Just texted my PA and she's checking her schedule today and tomorrow to see if I can get an ultrasound before my trip on Wed morning. Sucks because I'm kind of swamped tomorrow...I'm Room Mom for my DD's 2yo class and I have to 1) drop her at school at 9 and then 2) go back at 11:30 to decorate and plate food for 8 kids for their Valentine party...the latter part is a must but might be able to swing hubby dropping her off and picking up... gah.
@texafornian I hope your pa can get you in so that you can get some peace of mind. Hopefully it is today since tomorrow sounds like a busy busy day. Sending good thoughts your way.
@Texafornian I hope you get in today! a peace of mind ultrasound would be wonderful before your trip

Just wanted to report that my ultrasound today went very well. Baby has a hb of 170 after only 87 last week!!!!!! And is growing normally. Thank you for the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Sending the best to all of you, especially fellow PGAL ladies!
