I'm just really, really hoping that as the kind of good person who does not have a Facebook she's also the kind who would take some no technology time with her new baby.
Sorry I have been MIA. I'm extremely exhausted. I've had only a few hours sleep since labor. Since delivery, we got discharged as quickly as we could. We were cleared to leave weds around 5 pm. Austin has elevated levels of bilirubin so we had to go back in today for another blood draw. We have been borderline to him going under the lights but have so far avoided them. It's set me into a panick at the thought of him being readmitted. Last night after our kids were brought home, our DD has been sick and throwing up, so we've been trying our best to keep her away from anyone without her feeling neglected. Everytime I think I can sleep something happens. My back has been really hurting down low where I had the contractions. It's nearly impossible to move at all without breath taking pain. So far it's just getting rode out because I don't want any strong medications since I'm breastfeeding. It's been a zoo. I'm sorry I've missed some labors and births!! Thank you everyone for the thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. We have another bilirubin check tomorrow. Hopefully things start settling down soon and I will be back up and running to be here and congratulate all the new mamas and babies.
So glad Austin is here @kswiger06! He's adorable! Congrats and I hope his levels even out soon so you can relax and enjoy him. Also, your birth story was hilarious! Don't be embarrassed, what is said in L&D stays in L&D.
@kswiger06 Austin is adorable. I hope he is less jaunsiced soon. And your labor story is hilarious! Agreed with PP- what happens in L&D stays in L&D :-)
@kswiger06 so glad you checked in! Cogratulations! Hes just beautiful! Hopefully you both recover well! I also had a few choice swear words during labour & im sure theyve heard worse so wouldnt be one bit worried about that! Lol
good luck @kirstynikole! Hope everything goes well tor you! Xxx
Seriously? Seriously?! Well, Wednesday morning I woke up feeling "labor-y". I had some BMs and contractions, I got adjusted by the chiro, went home and had some intense contractions. I called my H to come home from work and by the time he got there the intense cxns fizzled out. The BM's persisted. I had an appt with my MW that afternoon and she checked me (at a very squishy, stretchy 2) and we went home. And then the nausea set in. And more BMs. So here I am 39&4 with a freaking stomach bug. Once again terrified of going into labor! Why can't my family just be healthy? I still feel like crap. But after two days of lying in bed sucking up even more sick time I had to come into work.

****Labour Buddy Update**** @srscott3 has been induced because of high blood pressure. She's on pitocin and currently at 3cm. Should see baby girl today (Saturday) or tomorrow!
I really hope we have sleeping labor buddies...if no one had a baby when there was a full moon and eclipse, and I think a comet, imma be disappointed in our Febubabies that are left. What is going to convince you to come out!?

I brought up the full moon at my appointment and the OB laughed and laughed. She's like, "I don't think the moon is bringing that baby out." Boo. She was right, guess that medical degree was worth something
Things started happening for me at the last full moon. Kiddo didn't come night of, but it was the first night of prodromal labour, which turned real a few nights later. So don't write off the next round of Febubabies just yet....
Re: ***The Great Big Labor Thread***
Also, can I just say I hope our board Speshul Snoflakes it again and has NO car babies?!
@kswiger06 Thinking of you! Praying all is well.
I told my husband, let's aim for somewhere between hours of Pitocin and car baby.
