@sableeg  Right there with you... my 38DDD bras are getting uncomfortable. Despite what DH says, it's just too much.

  • @amandarene112
YAY FOR HEALTHY BABY!!!! so happy for you!!!
  • If you are new this week... Welcome! Please introduce yourself.
I may have introed a couple weeks ago but I can't remember. I've mostly been lurking because I was in a bit of limbo and didn't really want to get into it. I had an ectopic in March 2015, then gave birth to my daughter in April 2016.

How far along are you? 8 weeks today! I had my third ultrasound today because the baby was growing slowly and they were having trouble with the dates. Everything looked awesome today- 8 weeks, right on track, good little heartbeat

How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) This is my third pregnancy and I just don't feel pregnant. It is a little odd (but refreshing!) I feel slightly queasy when I go too long without food and I am tired, but nowhere near as tired as I was previously.

When is your next appointment? sometime next week- Tuesday, I think?

    Rant/Rave/Questions? nope

GTKY:  What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? I don't really remember. Maybe a lawyer? I am a SAHM and I love it. DD is such a hilarious little thing and I love spending my days with her. Before quitting my job to stay with her, I managed a master's program at a local university.
  • I just got my beta numbers back, and while they're rising, they aren't doubling. 5+4 was 3300, and 5+6 was 4400, so a doubling time of >100 hours. NP didn't say anything bad about it, just that we will check on US next Monday (my original first appointment). I'm a little nervous, but feeling OK, with some pregnancy symptoms finally showing up over the weekend (nausea after smelling ribs cooking at grocery, yuck, and more breast sensitivity than before). My "normal" early cramping has even gone away.

Sorry for the rant, but any thoughts on these results are appreciated. Mostly just feels good to get off my chest.

  • @Hopefulmommy1980 Congratulations! FX for your ultrasound.

@icecubeinthedesert My numbers were doubling every 4-ish days, and so far I'm fine. My doc just wanted to see it steadily rising. FX everything is great at your ultrasound!

  • @amandarene112 That makes me feel so much better. I have a feeling its going to be a rough week of waiting, but trying not to stress out over it too much.

  • @icecubeinthedesert I think once they get into the thousands they take longer to double. My OBGYN stopped drawing mine once they hit 3000, and said from that point on ultrasound was more reliable.
  • @icecubeinthedesert FX for everything to be just fine!!

  • @lahearn18 AHAHAHAHAH!! So exciting! FX for a great ultrasound.

So, I'm spotting/bleeding this morning. I knows fairly common after an u/s and sex, both of which I had yesterday, but it looks like a lot. It's hard to tell exactly how much because it's mixed with monostat cream, but it was several swipes. Ughhhhh. I'm having no cramping, but I'm still really freaked out.

  • @amandarene112 I've known several people (myself included) that have spotted/bled after ultrasounds. It's so freaking scary to see though! I spotted a little this morning  (dark brown only when I wiped twice) but it still scared me! I also completely flipped out yesterday because I didn't feel like crap. Lol DH was like "You were just crying yesterday because all you wanted was a break from the nausea! Now you're crying because you're not nauseous!! Lol" Nausea is my security blanket! Like Linus from the Peanuts Gang. I don't think I can make it to my next ultrasound next week without going insane!!

  • amandarene112 i don't spot after ultrasounds but last week after DH and I had sex the next morning I did spot dark brown for several hours, it is very scary but once it stopped i figured he just irritated my cervix ,

LaceyC1020  it's the catch 22, you wanna feel better so you can enjoy the pregnancy but then when the symptoms ease up its terrifying that something might be wrong

  • @lahearn18 It's so exciting that you're having your first ever u/s tomorrow -- that is a very promising sign, since you said you didn't make it to previous ones.  I know you'll be nervous but remember to breathe!  I also told the nurse/doctor that I was nervous before mine, and it helped to just put it out there.  FX for great, unprecedented news!
  • Whoop whoop on the ultrasound tomorrow @lahearn18! So darn exciting!

@amandarene112 I spotted dark brown after my ultrasound but it only lasted the day. Are you spotting heavily or did you just notice it on a few swipes? I'm pretty sure that's a sex/ultrasound combo...too many darn things in your vagina girlfriend!! I'm "lucky" because my OB said no sex until after 1st tri because of my loss and me being archaic and all...hubby was like, oh is that three months? Should've lied and said, yes, yes I have three months left to this trimester...just so I don't freak about spotting. Of course on another note, I had a raunchy dream with Christian Gray from 50 Shades of Gray last night so maybe i'm in need. haha. I recall sex in second tri was quite fun last time...looking forward...

  • Thanks for the encouragement, @LaceyC1020 and @harleyquinn0621
@Texafornian It is pink/a little red, and it was heavy first thing this morning, but has mostly tampered off. But it dripped in the toiled, and I lost my shit. Ugghhhh. Nothing is going in my vagina again for a long time! It was just the first time I'd felt like having sex in a month, so I went for it. Not worth it. On top of spotting today, apparently O-ing makes me cramp for a few hours. Yay. :expressionless: Poor DH. This may be an oral and hand jobs only marriage for awhile, because I cannot handle this stress.

amandarene112 oh yeah, the cramps after o'ing ... some of mine have been really bad some not so bad... DH gets a lot of oral bc i'm still nervous having sex...... he seems ok with it tho, he's really making those sacrafices  hahahahahaha

  • @amandarene112 the O cramping happened with my DD1. Pretty much last the entire first tri...every time I'd O my uterus would contract. It SUUUCCCKED. So painful. In fact, that was an indicator for me that I I miscarried last time...I had been cramping during sex and I tried it on my own one night and nothing happened. I did test it this time early on this time and got nothing so not sure if it's an every pregnancy thing or not. I'm not testing that theory now though!
And good luck on that oral...I'd hurl. lol I say, get him a six-pack of these HAHA

  • @Texafornian Those are hilarious. I first read the brand name, and thought of Tegu, who make magnetic blocks one kids, and was like, "what an odd combination of products to make," haha!

  • @lahearn18  I'm so excited for you!!  your mom is coming, right?
@amandarene112 I'm sure it's the US/sex. Either one can cause spotting... your lady bits are just revolting!

  • Owwwwww! The pain from this corpus luteum cyst is so bad I couldn't go to work today. Plus is anyone having some definite lower abdominal cramping at 8 weeks?
  • edited February 2017
@heatherwilson321  I was having some cramping last week (so yeah, right around 8/8.5wks). It was never bad... just nagging.
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @HollyGolightly09 yep she gets in tonight at 930p! Hopefully this storm dies down by then
  • @heatherwilson321 I'm 9 weeks 3 days and having some cramping on and off today. Trying to stay calm. I read that dehydration can cause cramping so I'm trying to hydrate. I'm nervous though because my nausea has let up. All of my ultrasounds so far have been great though, with the exception of the small SCH. I wish I could have another ultrasound this week instead of next just to ease my mind..

  • @laceyc1020 The disappearance of symptoms is most likely from the placenta starting to take over. It typically happen so around week 9/10.
  • @heatherwilson321 I'm sorry you're still hurting!  :(  Also, I'm 7+5 and have been having ute cramps on and off yesterday and today.

  • @LaceyC1020 i'm about the same as you, 9 weeks 6 days and my nausea has really decreased the last week or so.. i'll go days of feeling fine and suddenly get a wave of nausea that generally doesn't last very long. like you, my u/s have been great so far.... its easy to jump to thinking something is wrong but when i saw my RE at 9 weeks i told her symptoms were decreasing and she said it's normal, so i try to keep that in mind

  • Aaaaaand, now I'm on limited bedrest. :expressionless: Even though my bleeding has largely tampered off, I passed a few small clots, and my doctor wants to be on the safe side. No sexual activity, and limited movement around the house for the next week. Yaaaay.

@amandarene112 Ugh, That really stinks....I just sent this picture to my friend and said "these are my people." I feel like all I do is lay in bed. So, I guess welcome to the "I am a bed thing" club.
