I stayed in a hotel over the weekend for a boxing tournament that my husband was a coach for, and we had Subway footlongs one night but I could only manage 6inches of it. I put the other half in the mini fridge in our room and forgot all about it, even after we checked out of the room the following day. As soon as I remembered that we forgot it, it was the biggest crushing blow to me. I became so sad that we had forgotten it and I was almost brought to tears at the loss of my sub. Pregnancy hormones are weird!
DH finally started the baby's room this weekend! Primed the one wall that needed it and got the first coat of paint on two of the walls. He won't let me help and said that this was his way of being able to prepare for the baby. I love him so much, he's awesome!
DH and I like to treat ourselves out to dinner a couple times a month but realized that would be difficult to do once LO gets here... So we decided to try Home Chef. Got our first box this weekend and it was AMAZING. Not only is it fun to cook together as a "date night", but the recipes were SO good and definitely restaurant quality!
If anyone wants to try it out, send me a PM with your email and I can send you one of our 3 meals for $30 coupons
@kjd291 baby still cooking in there? A lot of babies being born lately.
Still preggo and no signs of labor. Baby still hasn't dropped-up high and happy IN.
I'm having some blurry vision though-so called and talked to my midwife. She okayed me not coming in yet because I took my BP and it wasn't elevated to above concerning level. Bumped my appointment this week up till Wednesday-so just hoping to hold out till then and not have more symptoms appear and have to go into L&D.
We have a big snow storm rolling in. Not that it's a good excuse to not go get checked out-but hoping to avoid the roads for the next 48hrs.
@kiyamurph I've been feeling that way for a while now and it hasn't let up. I remember discussing it with others about a month ago on the symptoms board. Feels bruised, pressure and like you've been beat up.. yes to all! I'm over it.
@kiyamurph yes! Horrible! I did not experience anything like this in my first pregnancy, but this time it's hard to walk sometimes because of how bruised I feel. I've noticed that I'm carrying a lot lower this time. I'm wondering if that has anything to do with it.
@Minger86 Same here! I didn't have this feeling with my son, but man is it painful! It hurts when I'm laying in bed and I need to lift my leg to get out. This kid is riding low too and I agree that I think that the pain is from all of the pulling down there. I'm so ready for this to be over!
according to my online lab results i passed my GBS test!
Congrats! Does that stand for guillain-barré syndrome? I didn't think that was a standard test
It stands for Group B Strep test

@SienaC no it's for group b strep.. i'm avoiding iv's at the hospital and definitely didn't want to hem and haw about getting the antibiotics so i'm just glad that issue is of the table

I am right there with you, lady. The infuriating thing about pre-e symptoms is that they are also more or less normal symptoms! Changes in vision, swelling, and headaches can happen to anybody in pregnancy! Every time my feet swell up or my eyes start to have difficulty focusing (even though I KNOW that I was on my feet all day or that I only got 5 hours of sleep, or something else that totally explains it, I get nervous. I know I mentioned it before, but being able to take my bp right then in the moment of I'm home had been such a comfort to me. Plus coming up on weekly appts makes me more confident that if I start spilling protein in my urine they will know right away!
Update-after all day of headache not going away, even with some meds, and continued blurry vision I finally dragged my butt to L&D. Waited till DD was down for bed so i didn't have to worry about bringing her. I so badly didn't want to go in-but know safe is better than sorry and didn't want to be risking mine or babies health. BP was higher end but still fine once I was laying in hospital bed, NST was perfect, I do have elevated levels of protein in my urine that they will start to monitor-but nothing crazy high:::so I was sent home with orders to come back if anything changes, take it as easy as possible these last weeks, and my appointments will be bumped up to at least two a week and was told they'd be keeping a closer eye on me.
With 2 babies in NICU going on day 15... It's been a hell of an emotional roller coaster for me. But I'm trying to stay positive.
my friend decided to surprise me and paid for a post natal massage for me!! There is such a thing as a post natal massage!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going tomorrow and I am really really excited. I've been so sore and my back hurts so much all pregnacy!
Today I had my 2 weeks follow up at ob and she said new studies said I can have occasional alchi while breastfeeding and it's totally ok!!! So here I am drinking my first glass of wine since last July!!!
last July!! That's how long I've known a good portion of u! Keep growing babies! I can wait to aw over all ur little!!!! I love u all!!
@mrsyimster yay for massage and yes to drinking wine!! Drink away! Totally fine while breast feeding as long as you don't feel tipsy when you feed/pump then baby won't be getting it either.
@kiyamurph yup the pressure just started, I am pretty sure he dropped this weekend. During my workout this morning I swear he was about to fall out! I will have to take it even easier during exercise now I guess
Yeah I'm starting to feel a little pressure on the pubic bones too and especially if I'm kicking a heavy box along the ground rather than picking it up. Doesn't feel like he's much lower at all but maybe he's just making his way down.

At the hospital doing my nst and pretty sure a baby was just born that's going to be us soon! Love that new born cry lol
I was at the hospital last week to be monitored (loooong story) and it was all quiet. Then, I heard this woman start screaming. About 5 minutes later, she stopped screaming and then, a moment of silence before you heard those first cries of the baby. Definitely a wake up call that that will be us in a few weeks!
Hearing that newborn cry last night in L&D just made terrified! Haha. And there better not be any screaming women within earshot of my delivery room! Talk about anxiety inducing!
@jenny0228 That's hilarious! Years ago at my cousin's shower, someone bought her a packet of condoms. It was the meanest thing ever, especially considering that her and her husband had been trying hard for a few years. It was incredibly insensitive. She took in stride but it really wasn't funny and the person who gave them to her thought it was the most hilarious thing in the world.
