  • Today I had to run a bunch of errands while I was on call for work, thankfully I didn't actually get called in and was able to finish everything that I needed to get done. DH has to close tonight so it's been my SS and I all day- went and hung out with our neighbors for a bit then came home had dinner and are just relaxing now.
Tomorrow we are going to my sisters house for the Super Bowl.... not going to lie- I've never been a football fan (college or pro) and I only go to these parties for the food and commercials lol. I only know who's playing because of you ladies!

  • We've had a really busy day this Saturday! Step daughter had a bball game at 8:30, then we had her birthday party at 11... then zoomed over to the circus at 3!  I'm not as exhausted as I thought I'd be... But I ALSO made everyone go to bed SUPER early last night bc I was afraid today would turn into a nightmare without any time for nap time!

  • @Wearmi1 when shopping on those sites, if you put in all of your info, except for credit card, and then just leave it sitting in your cart for a couple of days you will get an email or text for a reduced shipping offer. I did this with baby leggings and i think I only paid $7 for shipping.
  • Is anyone else experiencing swelling yet?  I feel like my fingers are starting to get swollen.  I managed to get my wedding set off and it's left a big dent in my finger.
  • I worked Friday night and I'm currently working now. So nothing too exciting over here. We're having some people over for the game this afternoon and we're making a ton of junk food. I can't wait!
  • @Wearmi1 no swelling here yet - but I have been considering buying a silicone ring for if/when it does. Maybe one like this: https://qalo.com/

  • @Wearmi1 I am experiencing some swelling already. Generally the end of the day if I've been very active. I'm trying to stay hydrated but I guess it's not enough!
  • We spent the night at my best friends house, we do monthly sleepovers, DS woke up and promptly threw up all over her couch. It has been going around his daycare and I thought he had escaped it....now hoping we don't get it too.

  • I really want to go buy some more maternity clothes.  Stupid adulting and sticking to our budget.  Ugh.  Also, my husband is currently sitting on the kitchen floor playing perfection with the kids while I clean.  It may not be glamorous but I do love my life most days.  Blaming pregnancy hormones for being so super dear diary and sentimental  ;)

  • After getting up and having my one cup of coffee and breakfast, I threw on my Pats gear and ran to the grocery store hoping to do my weekly shopping before it gets crazy. Best decision ever! In an out in 45minutes and there was barely anyone there. Now to get a bunch of stuff done before we head to a super bowl party tonight. Go Patriots!

  • DH offered to have 2 of our nephews sleep over last night.  Worst.Idea.Ever.  I got like no sleep, I'm sitting at work and all I want to do it curl up in a ball and take a nap.  DS woke up multiple times because he had bad dreams, so I finally took him to the couch with me so he wouldn't keep waking up the other kids.  So I got no sleep basically from 1:30 on.  And then the kids were up (and wild) from like 6:15 on.  I'm actually kind of glad I'm sitting in a quiet office right now while DH has to deal with the insanity at our house solo.

The hubs is taking me out to a fancy steak house in Seattle tonight.  I'm going to go do some shopping today for my mom and grandpa.  I'm flying home to Illinois next week and my grandpas birthday is the 13th he'll be 85.  Then my moms is in march so I'll just take her stuff with me. Might make a trip down to Pike Place for some market spice tea for her.  She loves it and it is amazing tea!

    And then there's this tomorrow!!

Soooo.... You're not cheering for Tom and the Pats tonight?  Don't worry, I promise NOT to troll you with anymore Tom pics...

  • @Elyse1384 our poor head coach will never live that down.  We had probably the best running back in the league at the time who'd have gotten it in... and Pete decided to throw the ball.   :s

I really felt for Pete.  I like the guy and he is a great coach.  He didn't have much to work with when he coached the Pats, but he had a solid attitude given how brutal our market is.  If they made that play, everyone would have said how perfect it was given everyone excepted the run.
  • Sitting at my boys swim lesson... can't wait to get home to start cooking for tonight!  I went to the grocery store first thing this morning and bought more than we really needed... so excited!!

Turkey burger sliders, 7 layer dip, chicken wings, celery/carrots/bleu cheese dressing, chili/cheese dip, and more...
  • Ughhhh we have a 2 story kohls here and I went in this morning looking for a few new tops... they don't sell maternity in that store. WTH Kohls.  Sorry just needed to bitch.
  • @wearmi1 Yes! Also Old Navy has significantly cut down their in store maternity section. They told me to look online but maternity clothes are the one thing I actually need to try on
  • @email2ash I hate that there is such a limited maternity selection in stores.  I've already had to size down, and if I had to order all of that online, it would've been such a hassle to return it all.  Every store cuts their clothes a little bit differently.  I'm finding the Target maternity sections in store to be significantly lacking too, when they were much better before.  And I just can't justify paying for the designated maternity places (motherhood, etc), when I'm already halfway through and when it gets warmer I can probably get away with a lot of my sun dresses (I tend to live in empire waist sundresses all summer - the only hurdle will be my every growin bossom).

  • We went to a nice steak restaurant last night, and the food was great but I am dying for a drink! there was wine on our table and I could see martinis everywhere I looked as I sipped my water. I am looking forward to a drink once the baby comes!
  • @meg2704 You and me both!  We went out to a nice Italian place last night and hubs got a glass of red wine.  *drools*
  • Last minute and only good for today but target has all soda 12 packs half off.
  • @Wearmi1 I completely agree!!! Macys removed their maternity sections as well.... everyone who works there suggests I try ordering online. I HATE shopping for potential sizes online! Such a PITA!!
