Weekly Symptoms 1/30

Re: Weekly Symptoms 1/30

  • After five days pretty much nausea free, it is back AGAIN. I thought I was rid of it. I've also been getting headaches more frequently.

Anyone who gets nauseous while brushing teeth go to the dentist lately? I have a cleaning tomorrow and I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with tools in my mouth, since brushing my teeth still causes gagging sometimes, and nausea more than sometimes.

  • @kerils it's definitely every morning. I haven't noticed after sex but that would make complete sense. I have Brazilian laser hair removal so I don't think pubic hair have anything to do with it. I did notice it starting when I hit the "vag discharge like a constant waterfall" stage of pregnancy so maybe that's what it is.. I don't remember having this with my son but I could have- I have an appt Feb 10 so I'll ask them just to make sure!

I'm trying not to sleep on my belly but I can't fall asleep unless I'm partially on my belly. Is that safe?
Yep, totally safe at this point. As long as it is comfortable for you, it is safe. If you are concerned and you are a tummy sleeper, then invest in the back and belly sleeper from leachco

  • @nktrodden826 Let me know if it's actually a problem, I've been completely ignoring it.

  • @CarsonsMommy thankyou il look into it!
@nktrodden826 you are so lucky to have gotten laser down there. I won't plan baby number two unless I have gotten laser hair removal all over me eyebrow down.
  • @BusyZee laser hair removal change my life!!!! Granted it's expensive and painful it's worth every penny- in fact I'd probably even pay double. The one spot I hate done yet and was planning to do was my underarms and became pregnant so I had to cancel my appts and put them on hold for the next 9 months but it's amazing! Best decision I've ever made!
  • @Dcwtada wow I am so glad I read your comment about fainting. I read it a few days ago and last night it happened to me. I would have been so scared had I not read your comment. I had no clue this was a thing in pregnancy!
it was a pretty dramatic fainting in my true fashion. I was in the bathtub of all places. Luckily DH was home and heard me yell out his name just before it happened. So there was no head submersion. I hate to think what could've happened if he wasn't home. Anyway I called the on call doc last night and he reassured me and I feel totally fine today. But overall I'm on my guard and not taking baths anymore (the water was only lukewarm and I had eaten and drank enough water but still not getting in a tub anytime soon).

  • @irishrose54 oh wow that does sound scary. Does your bathroom have windows? You should probably keep those ajar if your taking a hot shower. I got dizzy in the shower once and now I keep the window slightly open.
  • @BusyZee no windows in either bathroom :( I now have DH on watch for the future. I just have to keep the water on the warm not hot side and leave the door open I guess. I'm sure my dry skin will thank me at least for the warm v hot shower

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @irishrose54 I'm a big ashy mess myself super dry skin. Don't worry yourself too much about it! Now you know. Stay hydrated the bath salts could have done it!
  • @irishrose54 I am so sorry, it is completely normal and completely terrifying - especially being in the tub.

I remember I was getting a coffee and I felt completely fine making it and as I was looking for sugar all of a sudden I knew something was wrong, all I had time to do was think should I leave the coffee and try to get to my car or tell the lady that was standing next to me I don't feel well - that was all I had time to think before next thing I know I wake up on the floor. I ended up with some anxiety over it, I didn't like shopping alone and I don't think I left the house for like a week after that.
  • @Dcwtada I am definitely anxious about it. I don't commute in a car so I am not too concerned with getting places but on Sat. I have  a baby shower that I have to drive to. I will be totally alone and am freaked out!! I told DH to stay on the phone w me the whole time in case. Now I am starting to think I shouldn't even go or should have him drop me off/pick me up.

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @irishrose54 I have no good advice - I can tell you the doctor told me to make sure I was hydrated and had food in my system but I think that was a pretty standard response. I empathize with you completely - it's something that robs you of your feeling of independence and sanity a bit. I remember having that feeling again when I was out a few times and I honestly couldn't say if it was the precursor to passing out or a slight anxiety attack because I was worried about passing out. Even when I am not pregnant I panic a bit if I ever get lightheaded :(
  • It's my first time being pregnant and I'm 15 weeks now. I've just started to get really bad headaches (which I know is normal) but sleeping has become almost impossible. At night only, I get excruciating pain on the upper right side/back of my body. I have to sleep on an ice pack, and even then the pain wakes me up sometimes. Sorry for the picture, I didn't know how to accurately discribe the location lol. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? I'm assuming due to the location it probably doesn't have to do with the baby...but I've been on bed rest/modified for most of my pregnancy and can't think of anything I would have done to sprain or injure my back. I have an apt with my OB next week but I'm debating whether or not a chiropractor would be beneficial.

  • @yanchuss. Same here.  I've chalked it up to muscle tension from computer use coupled with having to sleep on my side (I'm usually a stomach sleeper).  I've been trying to get prenatal massages, and those help me a lot.
  • I had no idea constipation could make you feel like you were gonna die!  There was so much abdominal and *tmi* rectal/vaginal */endtmi* pressure that I actually called my OB because I was worried that there was something wrong with the baby.  Finally pooped today and now feeling so much better.

  • My back has been SOOOOOO SORE all week! It's been creeping up to my neck. Right now I'm trying to get rid of the tension headache that is due to all this stiffness/soreness. It's hard to sleep and I'm uncomfortable regardless of how I sleep. I probably need to see a chiropractor or start getting Prenatal massages.
  • So I also just got my first stretch marks on my abdomen right near my belly button. H noticed them first because he thought they were veins lol
