@Dax28 just another thought.. I always wait til last minute for any purchase I'm going to make from a registry... I know it's hard not to check it and I feel opening things you know you're getting just isn't as "fun" as the surprise if I get it last minute and you think you're not getting it.. I also know for my shower a few people noticed their items didn't come off despite marking them as bought.
My parents and my sister are hosting my baby shower. They asked me to do two things, to pick a theme (I'm a bit particular since we're team green) and to design the invitations. My ass, wrote THE WRONG DATE ON THE INVITATIONS. And they all went out yesterday.
@KirstinH88 lol definitely me and Dh every morning!
Felt my first hiccups with this one last night. DS seemed to have them CONSTANTLY but didn't move around as much as this LO so they kind of balance each other out I guess. The u/s tech last week was shocked I couldn't feel the hiccups we saw him having, but he made cute grumpy faces of annoyance from them that she printed in 3d for us lol.
@ashleym112 that's so cute! I knew baby girl must not like them because when she gets them she flails around like she's annoyed. I love that you got to see that face!
@KirstinH88 I just saw that too, and it made me go back and look at pictures from her "fake bump" scandal with Blue Ivy just for fun. This time they have bare bump pictures of her I'm sure to combat any of those same rumors haha.
@KirstinH88 and @BabyBlake042017 I just read this too! Wow! I think I've also started noticing the hiccups. Sooo cute. This little guy is pretty active in there. I wonder if it means he'll be a handful when he comes out. STM and up have you ever noticed any relationship between baby's activity in the womb and how they are once born?
MMC @ 10w March 2016 Cautiously expecting April 5, 2017
@doozenberg I hope not.. my daughter wasn't nearly as active on the inside as this baby is but she is a ball of energy.. she doesnt tire and hasn't napped since she was 1. This one better like to sleep!
@mrsbakes I'm so sorry you have had all these life things pop up. I hope at least you and baby are feeling better.
@dax28 I totally get it. Most stores let you return anything for store credit. I had to do some detective work with my 1st baby shower in order to find out where some things came from. It was worth it not to have pink, sparkle, ruffle, bunny everything. I have particular tastes and I just could not handle one more pepto bismol pink outfit!
@Dax28 I can understand your immediate feeling of disappointment and I'm happy you also realize that it's okay to feel that way, but how you handle it and move forward is most important. I had a somewhat similar situation, but with guests not gifts. My shower is on Saturday and literally 2 people RSVP'd. 1 yes and 1 no. A friend of mine asked when she should be expecting the invite (that was mailed to her 2.5 weeks prior) so I worried maybe others didn't get theirs either. I reached out to everyone and thankfully that friend was the only one who didn't get hers. What disappointed me was that 16 people cannot make it and 10 can (3 are family and 1 is me) so 6 friends are coming. I get it, life is busy, some have to work, some are out of town, I'm sure some had prior engagements, etc. But I had a poor me moment and felt like my baby and I were so unimportant to people, like maybe these friends aren't really even friends. It made me sad that they didn't even have the decency to call/text the phone number to let my best friend know they couldn't make it. I literally only know because I reached out thinking maybe they never got the invite. And then it hit me, this is important to ME. To others, even friends, it doesn't mean they don't care about me or the baby, but a baby shower may not be on their priority list. It is what it is and I'm going to enjoy the hek out of the shower whether it ends up 10 or 2 people!
@Nolegirl1185 thanks for your reply. I totally agree, I rather have friends there than gifts. Recently a few of my guests expressed great excitement for Saturday, and that really makes it worth it. I'm glad you plan a having a great time no Matter the number of people that show up.
I'm doing a bit of a happy dance right now. I believe I said earlier that DH talked to his BIL about getting him a job at his company, well I just got a text from DH with a screenshot of his convo with his BIL and it looks like all things are a go! He's going in tmrw to fill out an application and hopefully will be working again soon! Keep your fingers crossed that all goes well!
Random lady (with teenage daughter) in the elevator at OB's office: "So how far along are you?" Me: "31 weeks" Lady: "Oh! That's when you're only beginning to be miserable!" Me:
@schef070911 I hate that! I had two people say that to me recently! I just turned 31 weeks, and they both said "it's only downhill after 30" and "everything after 30 weeks sucks".
@KirstinH88 Great news! Hopefully it all works out!!
I know I joked awhile ago about my resting bitch face keeping the randos from coming up to me and talking about bellies/babies/pregnancy, but seriously. I get no comments from anyone when I'm out. What the hell is wrong with all the people you girls are running into?? Mind your own business, crazies!!
Right?!? I mean I know she was just trying to commiserate with me and it didn't really upset me, but still... what on earth do you expect a pregnant lady to say in response to that? Wish I was more snarky so I could think of a good comeback, but instead I just fake laughed and walked away.
@Koukonei I have a twin brother and people asked us if we were identical all the way through high school haha. We got that one all the time! Some people just don't get it.
@schef070911 and @BabyBlake042017 I think I have definitely been that person. But, to be honest I think it is horrible and awful in every way long before 30 weeks. I just hate being pregnant so much that sometimes I need to pop someone's happy pregnant bubble. I know... I am a really awful person. I am working on it.

Always keep an eye out on the clearance rack at Target. I just picked up an Ameda double electric breast pump for $45! We don't know what the co-pay is yet through insurance for what we are getting through them, and I'm not thrilled with that brand, but it was too big of a deal to pass up! If anything I can sell it for what we paid or more.

I am starting to get frustrated when I sync my Fitbit and see the "how did you sleep" on my dashboard. I don't need my Fitbit to tell me that I am sleeping terribly. Thinking about deleting that portion of my dashboard just so that I don't have to look at it!
