This is a thread where anyone can feel free to request a chart stalk, second-guess FF's interpretation, or post chart-related questions, regardless of where in your cycle you are. Sometimes FF is wrong. That's where we come in. Get your second opinion here.
I'm really new to this... like REALLY new. Is it ok that I don't chart? I've had issues with my ovaries and uterus so I need moral support while I'm trying to get pregnant, but I'm measuring my BBT and charting just yet...
@toyteach Welcome! It's (obviously) not a requirement to chart while TTC but it does give you a lot of insight into your body and what is happening. Not to mention, it can help you identify if there are any issues such as a short LP or if you are ovulating at all. If you decide to start, you can get a BBT on Amazon for about $7 and the ladies here are such an amazing wealth of knowledge (not to mention supportive) for any questions you might have.

Pretty sure I O'd yesterday. But then again not totally confirmed. I did have a positive OPK Saturday night and yesterday morning. Last night it was a little lighter (so negative). Thoughts?
@canonmom413 Yesterday does look promising for O-day but it can only be confirmed with 3 days of high temps. On FF, they will typically give you CHs for O-day.

@toyteach Welcome! It depends on what your problems are. If you have a history of ovulation issues, I would strongly suggest you start charting and temping. Otherwise there really isn't a way to know what's going on down there.
@canonmom413 What's the weird line with the hearts? Based on the jump between cd18 and cd19, you may have ovulated with a somewhat slow temp rise, or you may not have yet. Temping another couple days will say for sure.
@lulu1180 thats what @businesswife said too. Whats the chances of temps dipping after being raised that much? I love you girls for teaching me so much.
@canonmom413 It could just be a wonky temp and the +OPK could have been a false surge. I've gotten random one-time temp increases and then a decrease the next day so it's really hard to say. I would say keep temping and HIO just in case!

@canonmom413 fx you're gtg! Sometimes you can even get a fallback rise prior to getting crosshairs, which can be confusing, (or after, plus not sure how your ap indicates that m the temps have confirmed O, but FF gives you CH), then temps stay up! Or you could have a false surge, temp blip? But not a sustained shift. Womp. It could literally go either way, and only time will tell. FUN, RIGHT!!!?!? ;)
@toyteach Welcome! It is totally okay that you not temp and chart, but if you anticipate having ovulatory issues or TTTC, it's a great way to have some data/documentation in your back pocket if/when you decide to see a doctor. ;) it also helps take so much stress and questioning out of the process, bc you'll have a better idea when you should plan to test if you have pinpointed ovulation w/i a day or so, kwim?
Hi all! I'm new to this group and for the life of me can't find a thread to intro on, so sorry for being annoying. I'm 100% going to break code or post somewhere I shouldnt (like right now?) for a little while but I welcome corrections and helpful "stfu and get in the right convo" pointers.
I just thought this thread would be good place to jump in and declare that my cervix is a jerk and I hate it. I'd love to post a great into gif but I can't remember how and need to read the newby post again to brush up. Hope to get to know some of you better and then promptly see you off when you graduate.
I shall ask... does anyone use FF's Pregnancy Monitor? Do you really think their point system works? A lot of the things I input are really mostly AF related.
Also, this is more of a preference question but: How many DPO do you typically start poas?
@VLillyV Hi! It's personal preference as to when to POAS. Many ladies here won't start until AF is late (so the length of your luteal phase -- it may be 12, 13, 14dpo). Others will test starting around 10dpo or if something is happening (for instance, some ladies test earlier than a late period if they have a drinking event to go to). My experience is that the first few cycles, I tested really early because I was excited. All the negatives are sad, though, and now I don't test at all basically.
@adirat aw look you're back! Glad to have you back. I think that's my issue. I'm testing pretty early because of the excitement. I'm not going to test anymore until AF is late. Thank you love!

Edit: Bad grammar/spelling
The point system does more harm than good. It's pretty arbitrary and many ladies here have had super high scores but not been pregnant, because, as you pointed out, the symptoms of pregnancy are also period symptoms. So I'd ignore it.

@vlillyv I don't have a ton to add other than seconding/thirding what the other ladies have said. Don't feel bad we all have a POAS addiction at some point. That being said the longer you can hold out the less heartbreak/stress/confusion. I love FF but it has so many features that feed the BSC/mess with your head GL lady
