If you are new this week... Welcome! Please introduce yourself. How far along are you? 7w5 today!
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) surprisingly well actually. Mentally I'm feeling pretty good. Had the dating US on Monday and looked good I think. Physically I feel great until about 9pm when the exhaustion hits.
When is your next appointment? Friday to go over US results
Rant/Rave/Questions? going on vacation in 9 days! Can't wait! And DS has been in such a great mood lately. I'm excited for some nice relaxing family time.
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? I wanted to be a journalist. I'm actually a lawyer but I do litigation so it involves a lot of written advocacy. So I'm writing but in a different context for a different audience.
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) pretty good. This pregnancy feels pretty different than my loss, so I'm taking that as a good sign. Although I was looking back at my old BMB comments and this coming week is when symptoms left, so that's making me a little nervous.
When is your next appointment? First appointment is next Thursday. I'm terrified.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? i live in CA, and when I was ....12ish?...I decided I was going to have a vineyard & make wine. I ended up working in R&D for a vegetable company and just drink all the wine (oh I miss you so.)
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) Pretty good. Still no spotting and today is how far along I was when I lost the last one, so it's nice to be getting through this day. Two more weeks until the u/s though and I just want to see the lil nugget and heartbeat so bad!!! eta: it's so hard being near the end of the month when everyone else seems so much further ahead than you ...
When is your next appointment? haha see above. 15 gen
Rant/Rave/Questions? ETA: still don't have many symptoms, or at least not clear, yup, that's because I'm ku symptoms. I'm trying to remind myself that not having af is the best symptom of all....it sometimes helps.
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? I wanted to be a SAHM and/or teacher. I'm a teacher, and hopefully soon to be a SAHM!

@MyNamesTaken Jealous you get some vacation time! Are you going somewhere fun? @jmn1985 I wish I had recorded my symptoms last time. Although maybe it would lead to too much BSC SS and worry.
How far along are you? 5+4/5
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) Had a really rough PGAL day yesterday. Saw some pink spotting yesterday morning, but then it disappeared. Cue the panic. While I think it's probably from a spot that's been rubbing on my underwear, I wasn't really sure, and was just super freaked out. Other than that, not many symptoms, just larger boobs that sort of hurt if I squeeze (I did so much of that yesterday)
When is your next appointment? Because of yesterday's scare, I booked a confirmation appointment for today. I'm also happy they'll also check my TSH, as last time I had to go on levothyroxine. It would be nice to start that earlier this time and be able to make sure the dose is right. First full appointment is 2/13
Rant/Rave/Questions? I really want to stick my head in the sand for the next 4 years when it comes to political talk, but DH really won't let it go. Let's just say we didn't vote for the same person. I may need to pull the pregnancy card on this one, lol.
GTKY: In 5th grade we had to pick a career for guidance counseling (we got all these records when we graduated), and I picked Biological Scientist. I'm now a cancer researcher, so I guess I never changed my mind! On a related note, last weekend we were going through DH's boxes of old school stuff, and found his life timeline. He wasn't supposed to marry until 46, but would have grandchildren at 60. Not sure he did the math on that one, lol.
Me: 30 | DH: 31 Met: August 2006 Married: July 2012 TTC #1 since June 2016
@BigBadWolf12 I'm with you on feeling late to the party. Though there are so many great TTGP grads here, I'm not sure I want to move to October even if they adjust my dates!
Me: 30 | DH: 31 Met: August 2006 Married: July 2012 TTC #1 since June 2016
@icecubeinthedesert yea, I'm not bailing on sept17 to go to oct either even if my dates change by the 6 days it would take to get me to oct, and I know there are lots of people close to me and even behind me, but as you know it's sooo hard to wait! And it just feels like a game of catch up that I'll never win lol

@icecubeinthedesert Sorry you had a rough day! Hopefully you can put your mind at ease soon. We're going away from a Friday to a Friday and the following Monday is a stat so it ends up being 10 days off! We're heading to Orlando. DS is a bit small for Disney and I'm not really into it anyway but we will go check out a few sights. I saw a Groupon for LegoLand so we may go there.
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) Doing pretty well. Trying to keep myself distracted for the next few days.
When is your next appointment? We have our first ultrasound on Monday. I'm so anxious and excited. I'll be 6+3 which is about when I had my first US with DD.
Rant/Rave/Questions? We just signed DD up for a class two days a week for two hours each day. It's a drop off class, so this is the first time in 3.5 years that I've had a "break." I'm a SAHM so I could never justify putting her in a daycare program, but now we are starting to get her prepared for preschool, so it was time. Yesterday was my first day dropping her off and I literally did not know what to do.
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? I wanted to be SAHM, so yes, exactly what I'm doing now. But I also wanted to be a performer. Singing, dancing, acting. We just moved to a new area so I think I may try to get into community theater.
@BigBadWolf12 I'm with you on feeling late to the party. Though there are so many great TTGP grads here, I'm not sure I want to move to October even if they adjust my dates!
My EDD (for now) is 9/29. With DD it was 10/30. I'm always late to the party! At least we aren't the only ones late in the month.
How far along are you? 8+6... more pregnant than I've ever been!!
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) Mentally- Most of the time I'm able to stay pretty positive, I know I am definitely not "out of the woods" yet, but getting past the loss point was big for me. I have felt much more positive since. Physically- Y'all, the struggle is real. I feel SO bad all the time, to the point that I'm starting to feel bad for DH for having to put up with me all the time.
When is your next appointment? Not until Feb 17.
Rant/Rave/Questions? Nothing really... just that I am so incredibly thankful to have all of you to talk to. A lot of the time I feel like I am kind of in a bubble dealing with all of this because no one else really gets it.
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? I wanted to be a great many things, haha.... nurse, lawyer, cashier at Wal Mart, doctor, make up artist... I honestly feel like teacher (my actual job) was the only job I didn't ever say I wanted to be. My mom said I changed what I wanted to be constantly but the one thing I always wanted to be was a mom.
If you are new this week... Welcome! Please introduce yourself. How far along are you? 7wks 3days
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) well, i had quite the nightmare(s) last night/this morning. I dreamed that i was spotting/bleeding on like loop and the nurse wouldn't schedule me to come in. It was super realistic, so I am a little wigged out today, but otherwise I'm feeling okay despite nausea and breast tenderness and fatigue. My PGAL brain won't let me enjoy any reprieve from any of my symptoms either, I just am constantly worrying. 2 more days till I am the most pregnant I have ever been.
When is your next appointment? Wednesday February 8th! 1st ultrasound!
Rant/Rave/Questions? Explained to DH what morning sickness is kind of like, it went like this. "babe, think of the worst hang over you have ever had, where even though you know you NEED to eat the thought of eating makes you retch...yeah that on loop all day everyday, that is morning sickness." DH's response "Uh, I'll pass." ...Men...please remember my DH is also clear across the country for a training deployment until mid March, so he gets to miss all the fun the 1st trimester is.
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? I wanted to be a teacher or doctor or lawyer. I went to a medical academy for HS, and decided ehhh I'm good. I teach people everyday about financial behaviors and how to prepare for their future. And I still want to go to Law School.
@icecubeinthedesert I can't even imagine my house if DH and I really disagreed on things like that (except, I'm the one that can't let it go, lol)
@jmn1985 I wish I had noticed when my symptoms started declining last time, just to know how soon it was before I actually miscarried. I know that they did calm down a lot (they were never as bad as they are now, though) but at the time I didn't know to even be concerned (Ahhh... the blissful ignoran@JMU_Bride09
@MyNamesTaken Yay for vacation! I'm jealous... I am taking half a day off tomorrow to go to the court house, and I'm even looking forward to that, lol. Being a journalist is still my dream job (or an author, or an editor...) I regret not having the guts to major in English, but I was terrified I wouldn't be able to get a good job. If college classes weren't so expensive, I would have already gone back.
@lahearn18 I've been thinking about you the past few days... glad to hear the retched symptoms are still going strong (isn't that a crazy thing to be thankful for?) I tried explaining how I felt to DH yesterday, too! I didn't even think about comparing it to a hang over... I told him that I feel like I have a stomach virus approximately 95% of the time, without the actual puking.
@HollyGolightly09 it's nuts, my mom asks how i'm doing and after i tell her she goes "i am so happy you feel so horrible" *insert eye roll*. Try the hangover anecdote, I feel like it hits home a little more. Thank you for the thoughts!
@MyNamesTaken Orlando is a nice area, even if you don't go the the theme parks. I used to go every year with my mom - they have a reunion there every summer - and always had a blast at the resort/hotels we stayed at and going out to eat.
@jmn1985 i am the furthest along still with symptoms. my last pregnancy all my symptoms randomly stopped at the end of 6wks. with my 1st, i don't remember when the symptoms stopped, i just remember almost passing out getting out of the shower and my husband caught me before i fell, and the next day i started to bleed.
@icecubeinthedesert 99% of the time DH and I agree on most things political/social/religious/etc. This past year we have varied on a few topics, but I couldn't imagine being polar opposites.
How far along are you? 9 weeks! Furthest I've ever been!
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) Mentally I feel good. Nervousness still lurks in the shadows of course but I feel good. All mild physical symptoms, but I'm going off my boobs still being huge and sore.
When is your next appointment? @ 12 weeks, 2/24
Rant/Rave/Questions? I just want my mommy to know now.. and dh doesnt.
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? I wanted to be a meteorologist or tornado chaser! .. I'm a nurse now, so... not at all. Haha.i still wish I could do weather though.

@Sugargirl1019 I am dying to tell my mom too!! She lives over 6 hours away and we haven't seen her since New Years. Definitely don't want to tell her over the phone/text.
@cmar1006 Because of my 2 losses. He wants to wait until 12 weeks, which is when I informed him tons of people actually announce to fb. But he won't budge on telling. Since I'm a Type 1, it's a big deal for me to have my mom know just in case something happens to my health. She needs to know so she can help. But he still wants to do the giant dual-parent surprise party with dogs wearing big brother sweaters and.. we already did that the first time. I'm done with that shit. No similarities to my first painful loss, please.

How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) Mentally better...surpassed my loss date! Physically I'm woozy and exhausted.
When is your next appointment? I just got back from my official dating ultrasound. They're sticking with my first measurement so I have a 9/19 due date now. Jellybean measuring on track with a good little heartbeat. I go back in four weeks for genetics bloodwork/NT scan on 2/28. Rant/Rave/Questions? Was told not to have sec until second tri due to my loss etc and strangelybi was like HELL YEAH!!! Sex is soooo not on my mind right now lol
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? I wanted to be an archeologist at one point and then I thought neurosurgeon because inhave long fingers lol...ended up being a television and film camera operator and now SAHM. I've always loved movies so it was there when I was little...just didn't know it!
Did I actually Intro myself last time lol.. i have an almost 5 y/o dd and almost 2 ds ❤ This will be our first not rainbow baby.. i own a photography business and photograph mostly newborns
How far along are you? 9 and 2 by lmp waiting on scan How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) Stressed not having morning sickness after having it with dd and the all day everyday with ds is messing with me.. i had awful cramps that freaked me out all night no bleeding
When is your next appointment? Feb 10 is my dating u/s
Rant/Rave/Questions? Anyone have worse cramping or growing pains in subsequent pregnancies
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? Somewhat I wanted to be a teacher... lol i would like to teach people to use their camera ❤
@icecubeinthedesertI want to stick my head in the sand and DH and I agree on pretty much everything! I just don't want to think about it, and I can't STAND reading the news or looking at facebook-- but then I feel guilty not being involved. There is no winning. @Sugargirl1019I can't decide whether to tell my parents or wait til my next u/s (around 11 weeks). DH will do whatever I want. I agree that I want the support if something bad were to happen... but then I also kind of want to protect my parents from terrible news, you know? If I keep waffling I will end up waiting until my next appointment by default.
How far along are you? 7+5!!
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) OK... More pregnant than I have ever been, and had a good u/s last week (heartbeat!!!!) but still freaking out over whether or not my symptoms are lessening. I still feel exhausted and vaguely ill 90% of the time, so that should be reassuring.
When is your next appointment? Not for three more weeks, ughh. Then another ultrasound and genetics blood testing (also finding out the sex! technology is amazing). Will I stay sane until then?
Rant/Rave/Questions? So DH and I booked a vacation last night to Europe (I don't like the term babymoon but I suppose that's what it is) for when I'll be 19-20ish weeks. I also bought trip insurance from a carrier that looks like it covers pregnancy-related cancellations (it does cover most preexisting conditions), but then there's some weird language in the actual policy about only covering certain complications requiring hospitalization. Like, if I got diagnosed with placenta previa or was told to be on bed rest, would that maybe not be a covered reason for cancellation? Anyone have any experience with this?
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? Hm. When I was young I wanted to design computer games. Then in high school I decided I wanted to be a lawyer, and I am. So kind of?
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) I'm doing okay this week. I had my ultrasound last week and then my OB appt yesterday. Since I'm still early, dr didn't try to find the heartbeat with the Doppler so we got to have a quick ultrasound and see the baby and heartbeat! Baby looked like he/she was waving!
When is your next appointment? Waiting on MFM to call to schedule my cell free DNA testing. Hoping to have that appt in the next week or so. Then my monthly appt will be in another month (forgot to schedule it yesterday)
Rant/Rave/Questions? This effing cold needs to go away
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? I wanted to be a teacher and a SAHM. I started going to school to become a teacher by stopped at my masters (it was a certain program where you got your teaching certificate during your masters). And no, I do medical billing
@Sugargirl1019 I'm sorry you can't tell your mom... it seems like you have really valid reasons for wanting her to know. Have you tried explaining to DH that you would want/need your mom's support in case of a loss, so it doesn't make sense to not tell her?
@Sugargirl1019 We told both our parents right way with 1st pregnancy...lessons learned after we had a MC a few weeks later. Didn't tell anyone about the 2nd PG or loss Didn't tell parents about 3rd PG, but told them about loss. With this pregnancy it's a bit different. DH is active duty Navy, and is currently in CA doing training stuff and won't be back until mid March. I told my mom so she can get on a plane and be with me during week 8 - when I have my ultrasound and when I have historically MC'd every time. He hasn't told his parents and doesn't plan on it until end of 1st trimester, but was totally okay with me telling my mom per our current geographic situation. We never did any cute PG announcements before, so I plan on it this time after we clear 1st trimester. It was really hard not telling my mom during my last pregnancy, especially bc my brother's wife is pregnant also and my mom wouldn't stop talking about it. So i feel ya on the struggle.
I had to tell my mom right away she knows me to well but we haven't told in laws yet.. his mom emailed everyone before our first loss and then never told anyone after.. that was awful.. didn't tell her the second loss but with ds she told everyone right after we told her at 6 weeks so I'm waiting until after our ultrasound next week thank gosh their away on a rv trip till match lol

Update: First appointment went well I guess. We did an ultrasound and saw a maybe blip consistent with how far along I should be. We will monitor HCG, and also checking TSH since I was hypothyroid last time and want to get on meds sooner this time if needed. Unfortunately will probably have to wait until Monday to get the HCG results since they close early on Fridays. But for now I feel much better.
I'll be back later to reply!

Today I feel like I am dying. I have been throwing up all morning at work. It is miserable. Of course today would be the day I work 11 hours... When is your next appointment?
Tomorrow is our first ultrasound with the MFM, and then another appointment on 2/8 with the OB. Rant/Rave/Questions?
Morning sickness is evil. That is all. GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do?
Not at all similar to what I do now. I always wanted to be a vet for wild animals. I got my degrees in that field, but unfortunately there are no decent paying jobs in that field anywhere close to where we live.
@Sugargirl1019 that's amazing -- how far along are you? Where did you get it, and if you don't mind, how much was it? I'm intrigued...
I'm 9+0, and a dear friend gifted me her Sonoline B doppler, so idk how much they run without googling. I'm sure you can buy them online! I heard it long enough to get it on video!!
@sugargirl1019 I saw it!!! sooo amazing. thanks for the paging here in case I missed it. I was creeping chat quickly in between housework (was trying to think of the adult word for 'chores' for WAY too long...) sugar baby

so I've gone to the washroom about 5 times since coming home 3 hours ago. Not because I have to pee, just because I have to check that I'm not bleeding or spotting.
Ranting and Rambling: I was fine all day, and now I'm obsessing and being like, I'll never get past 6+2 (today is the milestone of when I lost it last time, I think I mentioned that a few times in various posts today...I'm seriously obsessed... ) I think I feel cramping in my lower back instead of in my ute (feeling like I have to go #2 but I don't), and I got back cramps exactly like that an hour before I started to m/c in the summer. Trying to talk myself down....I had also been spotting for a week by the time cramps came last time and I've had no spotting this time, so I'm trying to remind myself that 'cramps are normal; spotting is normal; TOGETHER is bad news'

Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm similar to @Texafornian in that sex is the last thing on my mind right now and my hubs is SO ready to get down. We got cleared by my MFM to have sex as long as I'm comfortable doing so with my large ovarian cyst and my hubs is SO excited and I am SO not.

How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) Mentally, doing better. My latest round of betas came back high, which was fantastic. I think I'm letting myself get a little excited, thinking that this could be the baby I get to keep. (I cried a little just typing that.) Physically, my nausea is in over drive. Even with the Unisom/B6, I am nauseated all day, and dry heaving and vomiting by lunch time. I can keep down all-fruit popsicles most of the time, but the last 36 hours have been rough.
When is your next appointment? Monday morning at 10 am for another go at an ultrasound. I'm a little concerned that my weird uterus will keep us from seeing anything still, but I'm going to request an abdominal ultrasound if they can't see anything with the transvaginal. I'll be 9+1 by then, so hopefully my uterus has straightened out enough to see something.
Rant/Rave/Questions?
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? When I was a kid I wanted to be a teacher, or an astronaut, or a teacher who taught people to be astronauts. In high school, I wanted to be about a dozen things. Needless to say, I skipped around a lot of majors in college before finally becoming a writer. I sometimes regret not becoming a teacher, but I think it's one of those things that if I had become a teacher I'd occasionally regret not becoming a writer.
@BigBadWolf12 I've been having lower back pain off and on for the last several days, and I finally realized that it's probably from constipation. But it's still scary, and hard to logic yourself out of the fear. ((Big creepy internet hugs))

GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do?
I wanted to be a SAHM and/or teacher. I'm a teacher, and hopefully soon to be a SAHM!

We're going away from a Friday to a Friday and the following Monday is a stat so it ends up being 10 days off! We're heading to Orlando. DS is a bit small for Disney and I'm not really into it anyway but we will go check out a few sights. I saw a Groupon for LegoLand so we may go there.
5+5
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...)
Doing pretty well.

8+6... more pregnant than I've ever been!!
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...)
Mentally- Most of the time I'm able to stay pretty positive, I know I am definitely not "out of the woods" yet, but getting past the loss point was big for me.
How far along are you?
7wks 3days
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...)
well, i had quite the nightmare(s) last night/this morning.

How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...)
Mentally better...surpassed my loss date!

Stressed not having morning sickness after having it with dd and the all day everyday with ds is messing with me..
i had awful cramps that freaked me out all night no bleeding

Rant/Rave/Questions?
Anyone have worse cramping or growing pains in subsequent pregnancies
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do?
Somewhat I wanted to be a teacher... lol
i would like to teach people to use their camera ❤
Edit because everything disappeared on me lol
@Sugargirl1019 I can't decide whether to tell my parents or wait til my next u/s (around 11 weeks). DH will do whatever I want. I agree that I want the support if something bad were to happen... but then I also kind of want to protect my parents from terrible news, you know? If I keep waffling I will end up waiting until my next appointment by default.
How far along are you? 7+5!!
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...)
OK...
So kind of?
9w today
How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...)
I'm doing okay this week.
We told both our parents right way with 1st pregnancy...lessons learned after we had a MC a few weeks later.
Didn't tell anyone about the 2nd PG or loss
Didn't tell parents about 3rd PG, but told them about loss.

Today I feel like I am dying. I have been throwing up all morning at work. It is miserable. Of course today would be the day I work 11 hours...

How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...) Better after seeing my MFM yesterday! Baby's heartbeat is good, had a second ultrasound and baby is measuring right on track! My MFM is so confident and calm that it has such a positive effect on me.
When is your next appointment? 3 weeks! I see my MFM and regular OB on 2/21. I'll do genetic testing and NT scan on that day
Rant/Rave/Questions? I'm similar to @Texafornian in that sex is the last thing on my mind right now and my hubs is SO ready to get down. We got cleared by my MFM to have sex as long as I'm comfortable doing so with my large ovarian cyst and my hubs is SO excited and I am SO not.
GTKY: What did you want to be when you were little? Is it at all similar to what you actually do? I wanted to be an olympic equestrian, a therapist, and/or a SAHM. I'm a therapist now part time and the other part a SAHM! Horses are still a passion

BFP on 1/6/17!

How are you doing? (Mentally, physically...)
Mentally, doing better.
