This is my third pregnancy. My first time pregnant I read all the books, followed every rule, I was a model pregnant student, haha. Now I feel I've eased up a bit on some of the "rules" specifically dietary ones. I also feel like I stress a bit less about prepping for a new baby. What are you doing different this time around?

June Siggy Challenge: Workout
As far as other things I'm doing differently...
not really reading my apps or books this time around. I did it all with my first. TW- Also since I'm now a PGAL gal (2nd PG ended in loss), I'm more strict with myself as far as the rules go. Not doing lunchmeat or hotdogs. Just had seafood for the first time this past weekend. Limiting my caffeine (although I'm allowing a little more each week). No Meds besides some tums here and there. I know I'm taking some things to the extreme. Oh and worrying a lot more
Word. I asked her like three times to confirm that I was hearing her right. She started laughing at me the third time.
Side not, since I had elevated BP, boarderline preeclampsia my 1st PG, they are monitoring me more closely with this PG. So I have to do the 24 hr urine along with my first round of bloodwork. And I think she said illl have to do it again later on.
I did however have very high blood pressure last time and was also close to pre-eclampsia. I didn't hear anything about having to do the 24 hour urine. Although my BP was awesome yesterday.
I'm super excited to find out the sex of the baby. If it's a girl, I won't have to change anything in the nursery or buy new clothes, but if it's a boy (FX), I'll get to go shopping!

April Siggy Challenge
My DS is 14 months.
Also have developed a kids' clothing shopping problem with DD, already bought a few itty bitty sweaters from Zara on sale
@eeyorefan215 I'm with you on the journal. I did one for my DD (private blog that I then used Blog 2 Print and printed into a book)...I started one last year during pregnancy #2 & then had a loss so I have trepidation about doing it again this early.
**TW**
Losses:
#1: 8wks MMC 4/16
#2: 13+4 T21 + Hydrops 3/17
FWIW, I wish someone had told me all of this when I had a newborn the first time. I wouldn't have struggled SO much, and I wouldn't have felt so judged (which is something none of us need, we can judge ourselves harshly enough).
I would LOVE to be able to EBF this time! DD was jaundiced and they wanted me to track what she ate so I had to pump a lot and I honestly got lazy with it. I at least made it with her morning and bedtime nursing until almost 9 months but this time I want to do better.
@gabby94 lol that is awesome!!! Please, just please tell me it was buttercream frosting!!
DS2: EDD- 09.08.17
@SugarRush I mean, why say something like that?! I took a psychology class in college, and my college boyfriend was a psych major (now a full-on MD psychiatrist). I don't recall EVER hearing that crying is bad for you. In fact, I find crying pretty liberating as an adult, and I know my parents let me CIO. Somehow, I'm also an amazing sleeper. After driving myself downward into extreme exhaustion and crankiness, we finally CIO. It wasn't fun and not for the light of heart. But oh my, did it work. Because, well, it pretty much always works. You just have to be ready for it.
I also started rocking my baby to sleep when it felt right. Guess what, DS CIO at 6 months and was rocked to sleep quite often (sometimes even NOW at 4), and he sleeps a full 10 hours/night and takes a solid 2 hour nap every day. Some of the ladies who were judgmental (that I still know) have a 4 year old who is still up often at night and hasn't napped in 2 years.......sooooo.........judge away
There are certain things that I see that aren't the best but I think they come from a place of being misinformed by so much info out there. My friend wanted to start her daughter on solids really early because she was "interested" but didn't realize her digestive system wasn't developed enough to handle it. I think we all need to help each other have healthy babes and not judge what might not be our own first choice but is still a safe choice!
With this pregnancy I'm trying to exercise more. I'm finding it helps with the fatigue and I've been feeling well enough to get in some kind of workout most days. I'm PGAL so I'm overly paranoid about the food things even though I know it's unrelated and unlikely to have any impact.
In general I just feel a lot more prepared going into it this time. It's a good feeling.
I hope I can EBF with this one as easily as I did with my son. I'm still BFing him, but I would love it if he just quit all of a sudden at this point.
