R/R: I really thought last cycle was going to be the one. When I didn't start spotting on cue at 10dpo and my temps were still up, I got too invested. The crash from the top yesterday was crushing. At least I only had 1 day of spotting instead of 3-5. DH mentioned that if there is a problem, he thinks it's probably with him. I mentioned that he could get an SA, but he doesn't want to do that yet. His dad had low sperm count, but he managed to have 2 kids (I'm assuming with no help but I'm not entirely sure). I'm feeling a bit better today.

@NYTino24 thank you, and right back at ya! No, DH doesn't take anything. I'll mention it to him, but because he's in the medical field, he likely knows way more about that stuff than me. When I told him he should cut back on caffeine, he pulled up his Up to Date (basically a medical warehouse of information and scientific evidence) and told me that there isn't any scientific evidence to support it (at least not for the amount that he currently drinks).
@FLAshley sorry you are so down, friend. It sounds like your F might have a point. Maybe it would be worthwhile to talk to a dr or counselor about how you are feeling. I hope you feel better soon.

WAYDTGKU: time to get busy! Temp, cm, opk, hio, pnv
R/R: my foot is feeling a little better. I have a perfect bruise ring all the way around my big toe where the joint is. It's really beautiful H and I planned easy projects for us today so I don't have to walk around too much. Of course after weeks of cold, rainy very non-Phoenix weather it's super gorgeous this weekend (70 and sunny) and all I want to do is go for a walk!
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: Aisle seat or window seat? (Or middle if that's your thing!). Window all the way. I like to be able to lean against the wall and sleep. And to look at the scenery when awake. After that, definitely aisle over middle
@cactusblossom I am so jealous of your weather! My sis used to live in Glendale and are now in NV, but always seeing pics of her and her kids in shorts makes me long for sun!

@cactusblossum: Glad your foot is feeling a little better. I missed what must have happened to it, but it does always seem like the weather never wants to cooperate when you can do things and coincidentally is great when being outdoors isn't an option!
@FLAshley: Sorry you are feeling down. We started our TTC journey around the same time and being in cycle 5 is not a good feeling. Hoping you feel better soon. I told DH I was considering seeing a therapist because of work and grief related to our loss. I haven't decided yet, but the good thing is, having someone to talk to isn't a bad thing. So might be worth considering it.
@BertieMeetsGertie: So sorry for CD 1. We were rooting for you. Hopefully your blood work gives you some information.
@wabash15: Eww, sorry for the vomiting incidents yesterday, but hope your DS is feeling better.

R/R: Rave: We went up north to spend time with my brother and his family last night at Dave and Busters. It was a lot of fun. DH has way too many tickets saved up (about 23,000) and doesn't want anything in the rewards store other than a few pieces of candy. So we let my brother's step-kids spend about 10,000 tickets on stuff they wanted and they had a blast finding the stuff they wanted.
Rant: Nothing really to rant about today other than not looking forward to the 200+ pages of reading and two papers I have to write for my grad school homework I need to do today.
CS/Q: Not really. Decided to to schedule an appointment for what should be CD 3-4 next month to talk with my doctor about my 1.5 day periods. Not sure if they should be a concern, but if it continues that will be one 5 day period and four 1.5 day periods at that point.
GTKY: Aisle seat or window seat? (Or middle if that's your thing!)
Usually, I get stuck with the middle seat because DH doesn't like sitting next to other people on the plane. Personally, I prefer the aisle seat because I have a weak bladder and have to pee at least 3-5 times during a flight. So I hate having to step over other people to do it.
Thank you girls for your support. I know I have to talk to someone. I feel like it's been a long year. We decided on the reversal in March and ever since then it seems it's all I could think about and I don't do anything else I use to enjoy. I'm not sure why but moving into cycle 5 really made me snap. I will take any and all chances to make a big deal out of anything. I feel like a really shitty person. I love my life, DF, and my step kids but I just feel at my breaking point lately. I know it's not just TTC that's on my mind but it's a huge factor. I feel like I'm writing in a diary and I apologize - just nice to vent to people who aren't my df.
@wabash15 I'm sorry to hear about your poor DS. I hope the little guy catches a break and is feeling better real soon.

CS/Q:
GTKY: Aisle seat or window seat? (Or middle if that's your thing!)
Window.
Despite doing it fairly frequently (5-7 trips a year), I'm scared of flying. But for some reason, being able to look out the window and see (or not be able cause of clouds) calms me down.
When I'm flying with husband, sometimes I have to compromise and take middle. He's a bit of a bigger guy and he always needs to pee during flights so he hates the middle. On long flights usually I take middle so he can have aisle on one of the legs.

@wabash15 So happy you're on a medicated cycle! FX!
@BertieMeetsGertie Oh nooooooo I am so sorry for CD1! I was so hoping! Why does your husband not want an SA? Also, to his point -- I read in Sherman Silber's How to Get Pregnant that actually a huge proportion of men seeking vasectomies because they are done having their children have a low sperm count. It was like 40% or something. It absolutely does work, just takes a lot longer. It's up to you guys how you want to handle it, but to me, if you are pursuing the biopsy and the bloodwork, and he thinks it might be him, why won't he do an SA? That's by far the easiest and least invasive step you guys can take. Good luck
@FLAshley Hugs. If you are seeing things that way, it might be really helpful to talk to someone. THe right person can make such a difference.
WAYDTGKU: CM, OPKS,
abbreviated version of temping. PNVs, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Zinc, avoiding soy
and BPA. This is our IF testing cycle so bloodwork and an HSG too.
R/R: Typing "10" for "cycle" this morning kind of made me want to hurl. Especially when the fact is, I don't think there's any hope for this cycle, either.
I'm trying to focus on the long game. This is our testing cycle, and we are supremely fortunate to be seeing an RE who will be proactive and do all our testing in one cycle. (Not to mention, I didn't even realize how fortunate we are to have an RE near us period -- did you know there are fewer than 1,400 REs in the whole U.S.?) While we will TTC this cycle, we are more finding out the issue so we can move on to something with greater efficacy. So I get it and I am focusing on being happy we're moving forward and what comes next and that is fine. But god this sucks it just really sucks to have to accept that we are an IF couple and really there's no hope it'll "just happen."
Anyway.
CS/Q:
GTKY: Window! I love looking out the window on airplanes.
@adirat your support means so much, thank you. Regarding the SA, I think he just wants to wait until it's been a year. I totally understand that it can take up to a year, so I don't want to push him. I think it might also be a mental thing for him. Finally, we aren't sure if it's covered by insurance or not. I know you can go to an independent lab and get it done, but I think it makes more sense to go through insurance.

R/R: the half this morning was cold & wet. It wasn't raining as bad as we thought it would be until we finished, thank goodness.
Oh oh and I broke down and had a glass of wine on Friday night. My first in 2.5 months. It was wonderful.
CS/Q: AF is being weird. Normally I've been have 1 day of spotting, 3 days of some type of flow then 1-2 days of spotting. This cycle I had 2 days of spotting, 4 days of some type of flow, 1 day of spotting, nothing yesterday so I thought I was done, but then I started spotting again today.
GTKY: Aisle seat or window seat? (Or middle if that's your thing!) definitely window seat. I love being able to look out the window & see things. Plus unless it's an international flight, I don't get up to pee. Hubby is tall so he likes the aisle to stretch out his legs so we usually do one way on the trip out & the other in the trip back.
@BertieMeetsGertie I get that. We've had the exact same conversation actually. This is a little long so everyone should feel free to ignore but here was our thought process that got us to where we are, in case it's helpful... After 6 cycles I went into my gynecologist (as she had recommended given my likely endometriosis -- if no BFP in 6 cycles, come in). Since I had a short LP and ovulation pain, she wanted to order bloodwork and a u/s right away. It ended up taking another few cycles to get that stuff done, plus the MRI, then set up the RE appt, and from my reading it became clear that even if we aren't "infertile," we are clearly "subfertile."
DH and I talked about what this meant and how we wanted to react -- if we go through RE testing and hear "unexplained" infertility or "LP's a little short, sperm's a little low, but nothing is preventing conception" what do we want to do? If you're subfertile, it takes longer but you'll almost certainly get pregnant eventually. You even see it with unexplained IF -- plenty of couples, if they wait long enough (meaning years), will eventually get pregnant. Their chances are just minuscule in an individual cycle. So do we want to wait? Do we want to be aggressive?
Essentially what we decided is that we want to be aggressive now. We want to do all the testing and find out what's happening. DH wants to be aggressive with treatment, now, too. But we had to talk through a lot to make that decision, and I suspect that if things come back "unexplained" at the end of this testing cycle, we may feel differently and think, hey, if our chances are only 5% or something instead of 20%, we can rely on the idea that it will happen and live with that. (Just thinking about expected value, if you have a 5% chance instead of 20%, you should expect it to take, on average, 20 months instead of 5 months to get pregnant. Twenty months BLOWS but it isn't forever.) We'll see. But there's no wrong answer as long as you're comfortable with where you are.
Hey ladies I'm sorry for the P&G yesterday. I did go back and read everyone's posts and love-tit. @BertieMeetsGertie I'm so sorry for CD1. it sucks getting your hopes up only to have them come crashing down again. hugs lady. Hooray for moving over to the TWW soon @Redpuma119 10 hours of sleep sounds amazing! @ktcakes87 its not unreasonable to want to see your results. do you know what kind of blood work she ran? it also looks like you've been trying for long enough that its not unreasonable to start talking about seeing an RE. GL @adirat girl I'm right there with you. when I first typed 8/10 it was a bit painful. I'm so glad your getting all your testing done in one cycle. The first time mine dragged out over 2 cycles and I was so impatient. IF sucks weather true infertility or sub-fertility. hugs lady. I'm rooting so hard for you. @purplg8r glad your race went well yesterday. bodies are weird... my flow is also usually fairly predictable but last cycle it was all kinds of wonky and this cycle its been a bit heavier than usual.

@adirat thanks so much for your detailed post. If everything comes back clear on my bloodwork this week, I think we will just continue on like we have been until we hit the year mark. At that point, I would like to pursue testing for both of us. Our insurance right now covers IUIs with a small co pay but not IVF. I'm not sure how testing is covered. I'm also not sure how our insurance works with REs (I cannot seem to find any with Kaiser in our area).

CS/Q: Not yet! If I have trouble pinpointing O, I'll ask for a CS
GTKY: Okay, I love the window seat. I don't typically get up during flights (even long ones). So I like having the natural light and seeing where I'm going. DH however, hates the middle seat because "he's too big" and doesn't like sharing arm space with strangers. So where does that put me? In the middle, leaning over him to see out the window. I hate it, but this is my life. Is that a reason to divorce? Maybe. Only time will tell.

@BertieMeetsGertie That makes sense. Technically all REs are "out of network" for our insurance, but when I called for our first appointment, I asked if they bill things under dysmenhorrea instead of IF and they said yes. My RE is also a board certified OBGYN though he does not do anything other than fertility. So all my bloodwork as well as my u/s will be billed as dysmenhorrea and get covered that way. My husband's SA has to be billed under IF, unfortunately, but mine doesn't which saves us some money. They even told me they'd try to say the HSG is for dysmenhorrea but I'm not sure if that will work.
@purplg8r it got crushed at work on Friday I thought it was broken and went to er but thankfully they couldn't see a fracture on x-ray. It is just insanely bruised and swollen. I'm supposed to follow up and get more x-rays if it doesn't start feeling better quickly in case there's a stress fracture they couldn't see with all the swelling.
@purplg8r: Oh, typing it out came across weird. Meant to say, all I am doing until FW is drinking pom and PNV. Then, once FW starts we will HIO, OPK and check CM. I plan to drink Pom throughout my full cycle. I have about 4 60oz bottles of it...lol, so I will be chugging it daily.
@FLAshley hugs lady. Its so hard when you just can't feel happy. I hope you find someone to talk to and help you sort it out.
@feeislove I remember having a yeast infection the last time I did a FET and when I asked my RE about it she said it was no big deal. Not sure if its the same for just regular ole baby making sex but I would assume so.
@dragonfly87 I freaking love dave and busters!! Also, I'm glad you're going to talk to your doc about your short periods.
@heatherdubrow: We don't go often, but I love D&B because its like an adult Chuck E Cheese with alcohol and cooler games.
@adirat: Hugs on working through IF issues. Hopefully you get more answers and a way forward after the testing is complete this cycle. Interesting facts on how many REs are around the country, had no idea there were so few relative to the larger medical field. Also, good to know about the billing options as dysmenorrhea if testing needs to be done. Our insurance doesn't cover any kind of fertility treatments or testing, but I plan to ask my OB about any testing if my periods do not start going back to normal...my hope and thought would be it could fall under dysmenorrhea.
R/R: I just went to a bridal expo, which I hated (they stress me out), but the bride loved it so i'm happy about that. I tried my best to make sure she got tons of attention. About to leave for book club, which I love!
CS/Q: No. My temp is still up from yesterday, I got my second positive OPK yesterday and negative today - does this mean I'm supposed to move to TWW?
GTKY: Aisle seat or window seat? (Or middle if that's your thing!) Window! I hate flying and it makes me feel better with turbulence to be able to look out the window and see that we are still in the air and not actually falling. If we have aisle/middle seats I always take the middle because of DH's long legs.
TTGP March Siggy Challenge: Animals Celebrating St. Patrick's Day
@dragonfly87 You need documented dysmenhorrea for them to bill it that way. Sadly I have so so many years of that in my medical records! For you, you could ask them to bill under hypomenhorrea (abnormally light periods).
@wabash15 The place has amazing food so it's going to be so good..Even though I'm exhausted and would rather stay in! @adirat Yay for moving forward, good luck with all the tests. @NYTino24 ❤

@cactusblossum oh no!! That sounds so painful!! Hopefully it does feel better quickly!
@dragonfly87 ok. Just wanted to be sure I wasn't supposed to be stopping. (Although I think it's doing something weird to AF this time so we'll see how AF goes next month too)

@BertieMeetsGertie I am so sorry to see you back here, I was rooting for you so hard
@FLAshley Taking some time for yourself and talking to someone may help. I am so sorry you are feeling off. Take care of youself
@dragonfly87 I normally have one day of light pink spotting then 3 days of some kind of flow then 1-2 days of brown spotting. This cycle I had 2 days of light pink spotting, 4 days of some kind of flow, 1 day of light brown spotting, nothing yesterday at all then today I had brown spotting until an hour ago it turned to light pink spotting (like before AF)
@purplg8r: That's interesting. I wonder if it is the Pom juice affecting it. This AF, albeit short was different as well. I had brown spotting on 14DPO (hasn't happened before) and then heavier (but still overall light) flow on CD 1 and then it went half way through CD 2. Previous 2 cycles was 1.5 half days of very low, very spotty flow.
Also, (TMI), we HIO today and afterward I had some brown spotting when wiping (on CD4). So it's like it's still there, but isn't coming out on its own. Very weird.

@FLAshley hugs! I know quite a few people where a visit with the doc made a world of difference. They've almost universally said they wish they'd gone sooner. Might be worth checking out and it sounds like your DF is supportive.
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD: 11
WAYDTGKU: time to get busy! Temp, cm, opk, hio, pnv
R/R: my foot is feeling a little better. I have a perfect bruise ring all the way around my big toe where the joint is. It's really beautiful
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: Aisle seat or window seat? (Or middle if that's your thing!). Window all the way. I like to be able to lean against the wall and sleep. And to look at the scenery when awake. After that, definitely aisle over middle

@leekat14 Have fun at the restaurant!
@BertieMeetsGertie: So sorry for CD 1. We were rooting for you. Hopefully your blood work gives you some information.
@wabash15: Eww, sorry for the vomiting incidents yesterday, but hope your DS is feeling better.
@feeislove: Enjoy the movie and hopefully it isn't a yeast infection. Sorry, I don't have much advice on it.
Month/Cycle: 4/5 3 TTCAL
CD: 4
WAYDTGKU: PNV and Pom Juice only until FW, then adding all the other stuff
R/R:
Rave: We went up north to spend time with my brother and his family last night at Dave and Busters.
Edited: Grammar and adjusted wording on WAYDTGKU
@wabash15 I'm sorry to hear about your poor DS. I hope the little guy catches a break and is feeling better real soon.
@BertieMeetsGertie I'm so sorry for CD 1. I was really hoping for you.

WAYDTGKU: hio, pnv, coq10, vitamin d, oak, cutting back on caffeine and booze,
R/R: I'm getting really annoyed with not having a computer. Really annoyed. Hopefully we hear back from Apple soon.

R/R: I slept 10 hours last night. I feel amazing. I slept right through my temp time and I'm more than okay with it.

WAYDTGKU: PNV, Pregnitude, fish oil, vitamin D, CoQ10, BBT, opk, CM
R/R: it's cd 2 and I told myself I'm going to start doing BBT again, but I forgot both days so far.
CS/Q: I asked my midwife to do bloodwork to see if that could give us a clue to why we aren't getting pregnant. She said everything looked great, but I kind of want to ask for a copy just to google the heck out of it and see for myself. Is that crazy?
GTKY: Aisle or window seat?
I hate flying, it makes me so sick. If I had to pick, window.
ETA: TB ate half my post.

@Tennis11785 Yay for TWW!
Month/Cycle: 8/10
CD: 3
WAYDTGKU: CM, OPKS, abbreviated version of temping. PNVs, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, Zinc, avoiding soy and BPA.
Anyway.

@cactusblossum I think I missed something. What happened to your foot?
@dragonfly87 why are you only drinking Pom until FW?
Month/Cycle: 6/6
CD: 7
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, Ubiquinol, temping, drinking Pom juice
@BertieMeetsGertie I'm so sorry for CD1. it sucks getting your hopes up only to have them come crashing down again. hugs lady. GL with the blood work.
@Nytino24 I second that emotion. I would love for all of us to get our BFP's soon. I am so grateful to have you ladies for support.
@flashley I'm sorry your having a hard time right now. TTGP can really mess with your head. At least you realize your not in a good place, its the first step to changing/getting help. hugs
@feeislove what are you seeing?
@cactusblossum sorry about the foot. I am jealous of that weather... heck the 30 degrees were having is positively balmy!
@dragonfly87 hey cycle buddy. Glad you had fun last night
@Tennis11785 sorry your computer is still out. Hooray for moving over to the TWW soon
@Redpuma119 10 hours of sleep sounds amazing!
@ktcakes87 its not unreasonable to want to see your results. do you know what kind of blood work she ran? it also looks like you've been trying for long enough that its not unreasonable to start talking about seeing an RE. GL
@adirat girl I'm right there with you. when I first typed 8/10 it was a bit painful.

R/R: I am feeling it this cycle. For the first time in a while, I feel really in tune with what my body is doing. Even without a BFP, this cycle will be a victory for me and my spirit.

@Tennis11785 good luck in the TWW!
@adirat hugs my friend. Its such a shitty place to be, but I'm glad you and your H are tackling it head on.

GTKY: Aisle seat or window seat? (Or middle if that's your thing!) Window because I get motion sick and it helps

@adirat Yay for testing this cycle!!! I am so excited for you!!
Also, (TMI), we HIO today and afterward I had some brown spotting when wiping (on CD4). So it's like it's still there, but isn't coming out on its own. Very weird.
