How many months have you been TTC? 13 total, 8 TTCAL
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? OPK, PNV, Pregnitude, losing weight, thinking about adding COQ10. If I am not KU this cycle I will start temping again. It stresses me out so I stopped.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have 2 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 sugar gliders. I have been doing Weight Watchers since September and I have lost 34 lb so far! I am finding I actually like working out, so that has (kinda) become a new hobby. I'm pretty much an old lady, I love to cross stitch and do other crafty things. I work for Harley-Davidson, but I really want to put my degree to use and open a bakery/cafe/deli someday!

I am a FT activities director at a retirement home and enjoy spending time with family, watching jeopardy and sampling craft beer

How many months have you been TTC? We're on cycle/month 2/2 TFAS, 1AL last cycle.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I was temping, but I needed a mental break this cycle. I didn't plan to track anything, then I panicked and at least broke out my OPK stash. If we're unsuccessful this cycle I'll get my old trusty BBT back out.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We have one DD who is 14 months, a 100lbs chocolate lab who is a little on the batty side, and I'm a health teacher. I get to say penis and vagina every day at my job. It's wonderful.

@ktcakes87- I too enjoy the occasional cross-stitch. I'm currently working on the Disney Thomas Kinkade "Beauty and the Beast Fall in Love" I'm a quarter and change done and I've been working on it on and off for a year now. No idea what I'm going to do with it when I'm done.. (Though I have fantasies of having a DD and hanging it in the nursery ) Congrats again on your weight loss!

This month......
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?
Just about everything I can think off.
- Sex
-Improving my health (working out and eating better)
I just started, so I'm reading books and taking notes from others.
I downloaded Fertility Friend (the app) , so I guess you can say I am actively trying to track my ovulation by looking at the temperature and fluids.
I was on BC for 4 years so I'm not sure how my cycle will be since AF only had a quick visit a month after the time frame to get my next shot. (Not sure if I am explaining this well) story short , I'm supper worried about my time on the shot.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)
Married for a year. Now a military wife. My first time being away from my friends and family. I work in IT. I am really good baker, but this doesn't help my desire to get into shape. We have a 9 year old Shitzu who thinks he is a human.
This last year has been a roller coaster, but I shall save that for my input into the other threads.
I look forward to getting to know you all.

How many months have you been TTC? 10 months, 5 (medicated) cycles
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Diagnosed with PCOS in July; currently finishing my first cycle on Letrozole (after Clomid didn't work for me) and using OPKs. I just ordered the thermometer recommended in the intro post on this board and it will be here tomorrow, so I'll use that next cycle.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) Married 10/10/15 and we have two dogs. I love to read and I'm in a phase where I also love working out (just waiting for that to end...). I also love a good Netflix binge.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?
Tracking everything I can think of in apps except temping (for now). PNV, DTD every other day or more. We both have been eating healthier, going to the gym a few times a week, at home I'm doing a 30 day abs challenge and stretching.
I had the paragard IUD for many years, have never been KTFU, have always had regular cycles and paid attention to my body and hormones. Doctor just said, "call me when you get pregnant." Lol, okay thanks.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)
DH and I both in the restaurant industry, he recently became a licensed realtor and is transitioning to his new career. We own a small house in a wonderful suburban neighborhood and together are raising a big dog, adult cat, 5 month old kitten, and his 9 year old female who acts like she's 14.
For fun I'm in choir and adult ballet, and we really enjoy cooking together at home. We love entertaining so hopefully someday we'll have a bigger kitchen and maybe a real dining room. When it gets warmer we are looking forward to going back out for camping, floating, hiking, etc! I just started a bullet journal as a way to keep my to do list, planner/calendar, workouts, etc all in one place.
I'm so happy to finally be a part of this group after so many years of dreaming. Can't wait to get to know you all!
@brzvice I am another BF mamma (though by sunday we will be fully weaned... (I have to wean to start fertility treatments) Anyway I'm happy to try to answer any questions you may have regarding TTGP and BF. GL

Hello everyone!
Ages (you and SO):
I am 25 & SO is 27.
How many months have you been TTC?
About 6 months.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?
For about 4 months of TTC, I just have been charting and tracking ovulation. The first two months I had no clue what i was doing as far as tracking ovulation.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)
I am a Social Worker and I work mainly with aging and disabled adults. I provide resources to these individuals and their families over the phone, and some in person. It can be a very rewarding, but a very sad job working with these individuals. However, I LOVE my job and LOVE my work family. I love helping people! My SO and I have one very hefty Lab, named Camo. She may resemble more of a large bear, but we love her and she is very spoiled! This is our only baby right now, but we have an older beagle, Bobo, who we share custody of with our neighbors. Bobo sleeps in our garage most nights, stealing the most comfortable dog bed from our Camo because he is older and ornery and feels that he needs the most comfortable bed! And it's not that his family doesn't treat him right, he has a very warm and comfortable bed at his house, but somehow when we moved in he started "staying the night" at our house and moseys home as he feels like it. But, to my SO's dismy, Bobo also likes to bring all of his "finds" to our front yard and leave it there, and this includes any type of dead animal or unidentified bone he finds in the woods, yuck! We love him still! But now we are hoping for a non furrbaby!
And I don't have many hobbies. I love to read any good romance novel and watching my numerous TV shows (Grey's, Vampire Diaries, This is Us, Nashville (since we live an hour away from Nashville)) Oh so many to keep up with!
I am excited to get to know everyone on here!

How many months have you been TTC? Four, on cycle #5.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Temping and the sex.
Tell us about yourself! I have a 2.5yo DS, a 4 year old munchkin cat, a 6 year old pomeranian. I don't know what I want to be when I grow up. I finished the first draft of a novel in November and I'm not working on editing it. Ugh... Editing. I was a frequenter on TB in 2013 and 2014 and now I'm kind of back! I had forgotten how much TTC sucks.

What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? OPK's, temping, charting using FF/Ovia (though I don' care for Ovia as much, but it worked for a friend)
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) DH and I are parents to a very hyper 4 year old fur baby. He is a black lab/pit bull mix. He enjoys playing tug of war, fetch and chasing his tail. He loves to give kisses and uses the sneak attack method to land them on ya! We are trying for our first two legged baby. Hobbies include binge watching HGTV, exploring Loews, wine tasting, and minor league baseball games in the summer. Trying to get back in to a regular workout routine. I used to love it, but burned myself out. So I'm trying to recapture the enjoyment that I used to get from a good workout. I am also a HUGE coffee lover, which I know I will need to cut back on (so if anyone has tips, I'm all ears!) I work in billing at an industrial gases company. It's not my forever job. I'm just biding my time. I would love to open a bakery or café one day.

Hi @Soldiersmom So you do like Fertility friend better than Ovia, in what ways? I have been using Ovia, but I have heard Fertility friend is better. I have tried to download it to my iPhone, but since my phone is not updated it will not let me update it. I do not have enough room to download the update. Haha. Silly phones. I may have to resort to downloading it on my nook tablet.
I love watching HGTV as well. Fixer upper is my favorite!
TTC #1 since July 2016
@heatherdubrow I know! She is so cozy, and she thinks a lap dog! And thank you!
TTC #1 since July 2016
Hey @babyfaith09... I found my FW was constantly being recalculated on Ovia because it gives you such a large window. All that recalculating can cause unnecessary stress. FF gives you the four most (likely) fertile days and the smaller time frame is more to my liking. I do like that on Ovia you can put more then negative/positive for OPK results. So I think its really just be a matter of user preference. I use them both kind of as a check/balance system.
Fixer Upper is our favorite too Along with Property Bros.

@babyfaith09 I'm a social worker too. (Seems like there are a lot of us here, but maybe I'm just hyeraware of other Sw) I also work a lot with older adults.
@SoldiersMom I was also a big coffee drinker. I cut down a lot. I started by cutting out my afternoon coffee and then slowly tapered down the AM dose. I've gotten it down to about 6-8 ounces in the AM. YOU CAN DO IT!

@SoldiersMom I was also a big coffee drinker. I have mainly replaced it with tea but I also love tea so it wasn't that hard. I also try to buy decaf tea since I will usually drink about 3 cups per day. It's a process but it's doable. Good luck!
Hello!
Ages (you and SO): Me-27, DH-31
How many months have you been TTC? 2 months
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I stopped the bcp in Nov, tracking my cycle with apps and using opks.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have 2 dogs who are my babies (Harvey is a husky/GSD and Lucy is a husky). DH and I have been together for 8 years, married for almost 2. I love watching Netflix and HGTV ( House Hunters International is a fav).
Hi everyone! I've been lurking for ages and figured it's finally time to jump in.
Ages (you and SO): 29 (me) and 30 (him).
How many months have you been TTC?: 12 months, 13 cycles.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?: OPKs, temping, charting, red raspberry leaf tea (pre-O), CoQ10, reducing caffeine/alcohol consumption, exercise. Moving to Clomid, trigger shot, IUI, and progesterone supplements next cycle, which should start late this week.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): No kids and no pets but we would like to adopt a dog at some point. My husband and I have been together for 10 years, married for 3.5. We spend the vast majority of our time working (he's a lawyer and I'm a fed) but like to blow off steam traveling and enjoying DC's many dining and cultural activities. My other hobbies include spin and yoga classes, reading, and tv (from highbrow to Real Housewives). High fives to all the other HGTV addicts here! I can watch Love It or List It for hours.
Im Latricia 25 soon to be married to Bob 37.
this is our first month trying and this is the last day on my fertile window, though according to first response OPK I was positive yesterday.. so fingers crossed!
we are just doing the deed almost every day for the past week and a 1/2.
we live outside Pittsburgh! I'm a SAHM!
Ages (you and SO): 28 and DH 28
How many months have you been TTC? This is month 2
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? OPKS, fertility friend, DVD regularly. Have a BMT but haven't used it yet, trying not to stress about TTC (haha good one I know)
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) Just a fur mom at the moment, 3 yo shepherd lab mix Pax and 2 yo pure lab Kato. DH and I are in law enforcement so our lives are busy. We do try to workout together as best we can.
Ages (you and SO): I'm 32 and my husband is almost 32.
How many months have you been TTC? We started trying for real last month. I know the odds, but I used magical thinking to convince myself we'd get it done the first try (*eye roll*). My partner is in his last semester of grad school and still traveling every week to another state AND my best friend is getting married on the other side of the country in July, so we were waiting in order to get the timing of a potential delivery "in the clear."
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I'd been tracking my cycles since we got married last year on Clue and used its predicted fertile window and my cervical mucus to focus our BD'ing last month. I've been taking PNV, though not religiously, since November for good measure and tried to home in on that in the new year. When I got my period the other day, I ordered a basal thermometer as a consolation prize and will start tracking my temps this cycle as soon as I get it.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) No kids yet, though I was a nanny to the same humans for eight years and am still really close to them. We live with one beautiful cat – she's amazing. I'm an ER nurse, which is my second career. I went to art school the first time around and I make paintings. My husband and I moved to suburbs about a year ago and I'm now mother to a vegetable garden that is the size of our last apartment. I'm teaching myself to play piano. I also enjoy hiking, cooking, and obsessively reading the news. I'm trying to be a better activist and advocate.
@Avrilmai that's impressive! I'm trying to wean off too. Morning's are my biggest issue. I may have an afternoon latte twice a week, but in the mornings I can drink half a pot. I had a keruig brewer on my desk and switched to decaf like @safire3 suggested, but then I went a step further and took the coffer maker home so I wouldn't be tempted. It's not so much about the need for caffeine for me. I just really love coffee haha!
@orbmaker I recently started buying some higher quality coffee from our local farmer's market. It just made my "addiction" worse lol! The difference between quality coffee and the commercially produced stuff is amazing!
