@SwtAnana I'm sorry that the testing is making you nervous, but 7dp5dt is still early. And if the line is a little darker today than 2 days ago, that's a good sign. In regards to whether to test or not to test, I think that we are all huge nervous wrecks whether we decide to test or not. Keep trying with the FRERs. Hopefully, they will get darker. In my opinion, it's better to know for yourself ahead of time than to get the news from someone at the clinic. Good luck!

DH is awesome, he could tell I was in such a funky mood this morning so he went out and got flowers for me. He said something along the lines of wondering what has changed to suddenly put me in such a bad mood and although I shared my fear of it not working, I didn't tell him that the thought entered my head after a still very very faint positive HPT. My god I sound like a whiney little brat....crying over a faint positive when I'm really lucky to have one! Maybe I'm just being hormonal or need to get laid or watch a happy movie or something

@SwtAnana, you're not whiney at all! I completely get it. This is a very scary journey. A strong line would make you feel much better but it is very early. I didn't poas before my other transfers because I knew it would make me a nervous wreck. I was also afraid of a positive but low beta. This time around even if I get a BFP I'll be terrified it's ectopic again. We won't ever feel at peace until we have our babies in our arms.

AFM: I found out that the hospital that I had the emergency Gallbladder surgery at on the 10th was "out of network" for my insurance. This had been filling me with anxiety most of last week, but i started getting the claims in on my health insurance account and so far it seems much cheaper than I though, by A LOT! I am really hoping it stays this way, because this was not an expense that we were prepared for, we are on a pretty tight budget already because of the IVF. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

@emgem819 oh Lordy...chance of multiples! I would certainly welcome twins if that's what we end up with, but I'm attempting not to get too carried away til it's time for an ultrasound since I keep hearing that HCG can't really predict multiples. Tempting to speculate, though!

Hey Ladies - I have caught up with all the posts since my transfer. Just needed the week to focus on myself and "Embryo #10" getting cozy. I am doing fine, trying to remind myself it is too early for symptoms, and resisting POAS. I have been cramping off and on since 1dp5dt, nothing too bad, definitely weird the first 24 hours, like a fluttering(implantation, hopefully) then every once in awhile slight low cramps. Other than that, I've had several random ditzy moments! My assistant even commented that if this is pregnancy brain already, we are in for a long 9 months! Fingers crossed. Beta is not until 1/30 bc of previously mentioned office ritual, but think I'll POAS with DH here on Friday or Saturday (so I don't have to go to work after)! You guys are great and super at keeping up, I just can't process everything right now. So, sorry to all of those with dreams on hold yet again and prayers for those with betas and transfers upcoming!

So I clearly have self control issues haha. Long story short we bought FRER yesterday at Target but DH hid them from me until I was allowed to test this morning. I have been awake since 3 trying to get myself back to sleep because I still had two glorious hours to sleep stick be damned. The stick won the battle around 4:00 when I caved and woke DH to see if I could POAS. I'm married to a saint haha. The deal was he got to give me the results and the results are a faint faint faint BFP. Hoping it countinues to darken but happy for my small victory in the meantime.

AFM I don't have great news. I caved and did a frer this morning (6dpt) and it was negative. I promised DH I would do it with him on Wednesday so not only did I break that promise but now it's negative and I can't even talk to him about it. Ugh! How was everyones weekend? I had a dream last night that I had a daughter, and we were painting together. It was a little sad at first when waking up, but made me feel hopeful for my transfer coming up.

Hey all! Looks like there is some good news happening on this board!
I had to take a little break from the board after my negative last week. It hit me really hard and I'm still coming to terms with it. I was just SO hopeful that it was going to be the cycle that I was even more devastated when it didn't work. As happy as I am for all of you getting good news, it was also really difficult for me emotionally.
It also doesn't help that my RE basically doesn't know what else to do since my lining doesn't really get above a 6. We are going to try a new protocol that another dr in the clinic had success with a similar patient (so a case study of 1!) and see how my lining responds. If it doesn't get up to a 7.5, no transfer. She highly suggests starting to look into a gestational carrier at this point too since that can be a process of up to a year and nothing seems to get my lining thick enough. DH is okay with that route, but I think it'll take me a little bit to get there as I'll need to grieve the possibility of being pregnant, and DH doesn't really get that aspect of it. I did read some research over the weekend that said chiropractic treatment might help blood flow to the lining due to impingements of nerves, etc. So I might give that a try. Acupuncture didn't seem to help at all and I wasn't really a fan of it. We might seek out a second opinion while researching the gestational carrier route to see if there are any other treatment options for me.
I'll still prob lurk here and there on the board, but mentally I think I need a break so probably won't be posting much.
@emgem819 I'm still holding out hope for you! A friend of mine who did IVF got a negative HPT but a great beta and is about 14 weeks now. Sending lots of positive vibes your way that you get a nice surprise.
@ChocolateIsLife I love the new name first of all haha. We had agreed that today would be the POAS day but I cheated and did it yesterday with a Dollar Tree one which was negative. It was entirely too early and rationally I knew this. DH has the other three tests hidden and will leave them for me in the bathroom after he comes to bed like the tooth ferry haha

@mtpbadger I don't blame you for taking some time away. You have to do what is best for you right now and whatever gives you the most peace. I would absolutely get a second opinion while you are waiting things out, it can't hurt. Sending you lots of positive thoughts and prayers that you guys figure out a good plan that gives you your sticky baby.

Thanks @Worldtravler0522 for the hope and support...it means a lot to me! I keep telling myself 6dpt is too early so hoping we see differently on Wednesday with DH or at my beta on Friday. If it really is neg. I have 3 embies left but never had PGS testing and they are aren't the best grade. Has me googling like crazy because I know we can't afford another ivf cycle and I feel like RE hasn't given me any reasons to think I can't have success. Just so many unknowns in this process that never make it easy. Sorry for the rant lol. Anyway, I'm very happy for you and hope that your line gets darker and darker!

SwtAnana don't worry to much (hard to do I totally know...did I mention I peed on 4 sticks 1 day)...but my frer didn't get much darker (if darker at all till Beta day and even then it wasn't super crazy dark). Best of luck with POASIng...good news for sure!!
rainbowwishes5 dark moments for sure happen with this proccess. I am sorry you are in the darkness now. You never know when the good will come though...so maybe the 2 embies will be just the right ones at just the right time and will make you a mom to 1 or 2 (or hey even 3 or 4) babies. Doing pretty good trying to not syc myself out at all with symptoms and worries about betas or worrying the more I think about it being real that that might jinx things. uff da. Thanks for the positive vibes everyone! Transfer went as well as it could. My bladder was super full and they had me go empty a little bit (one of the hardest things I've done so far, lol), but they still had a hard time finding my uterus. I'm going to be part of a study my doctor is doing to determine how early you can test for pregnancy, so my first beta has been moved to Saturday, then my next is the 30th, then again on the 1st.

Update: Beta #2 is 448 at 12dpt! 1st Sonogram scheduled for Monday (1week from today). Then released to my OB. Beta #1 was 87 and so I was expecting quadruple today which did a little more than that but I'm still thinking just 1 stuck....hopefully We find out Monday.

@mtpbadger thinking of you! I had not heard about Chiropractic treatment for lining thickness but that makes sense. I would think realigning your body would increase blood-flow which could contribute to the thickness. I'm crossing my fingers for you.

@becauseLove I hear you on the jinx fear. I have those same thoughts sometimes, and I can imagine it gets even more intense when you are pregnant. I am so happy for you that you are feeling all of those fun symptoms though! Ok maybe not so fun, but its definitely reassuring! AFM I am doing pretty good. I'm currently back in school getting my degree for Graphic Design (previous career was in Marketing), so school work is definitely helping to keep me distracted!

AFM nothing much to report other than symptoms are slowly showing up. My boobs are only just now starting to get tender. I was one of those who always had super painful boobs during my regular luteal phase (and always a BFN), so I suppose one of my earliest pregnancy signs was NOT getting sore. I did, however, wake up Sunday night around midnight with horrific nausea and intestinal agony and spent some quality time in the bathroom while my dog whined outside the door. Never thought I would be happy about feeling like puking, but that's what infertility does!
@ChocolateIsLife I definitely drank way too much water. I started about an hour and a half before I needed to be at the clinic, but I still had acupuncture before my transfer. I had to let out a small amount for different times to get my bladder to be the correct size before the transfer! For a moment during acupuncture I thought I was going to explode .

@SwtAnana I'm sorry that the testing is making you nervous, but 7dp5dt is still early. And if the line is a little darker today than 2 days ago, that's a good sign. In regards to whether to test or not to test, I think that we are all huge nervous wrecks whether we decide to test or not. Keep trying with the FRERs. Hopefully, they will get darker. In my opinion, it's better to know for yourself ahead of time than to get the news from someone at the clinic. Good luck!

@SingleGeneMe Tomorrow once DH leaves for work I'll head to our local drugstore to grab a couple FRERs to hopefully calm my nerves. I agree that I would rather know in advance than to have someone call me with bad news. Helps to soften the blow.
DH is awesome, he could tell I was in such a funky mood this morning so he went out and got flowers for me. He said something along the lines of wondering what has changed to suddenly put me in such a bad mood and although I shared my fear of it not working, I didn't tell him that the thought entered my head after a still very very faint positive HPT. My god I sound like a whiney little brat....crying over a faint positive when I'm really lucky to have one! Maybe I'm just being hormonal or need to get laid or watch a happy movie or something

@SwtAnana, you're not whiney at all! I completely get it. This is a very scary journey. A strong line would make you feel much better but it is very early. I didn't poas before my other transfers because I knew it would make me a nervous wreck. I was also afraid of a positive but low beta. This time around even if I get a BFP I'll be terrified it's ectopic again. We won't ever feel at peace until we have our babies in our arms.

@emgem819 oh Lordy...chance of multiples! I would certainly welcome twins if that's what we end up with, but I'm attempting not to get too carried away til it's time for an ultrasound since I keep hearing that HCG can't really predict multiples. Tempting to speculate, though!

AFM, got the 2nd beta today, and it's a whopping 1171, which seemed like a massive (and very reassuring) jump. My ultrasound is set for Feb. 7!

I have been cramping off and on since 1dp5dt, nothing too bad, definitely weird the first 24 hours, like a fluttering(implantation, hopefully) then every once in awhile slight low cramps. Other than that, I've had several random ditzy moments! My assistant even commented that if this is pregnancy brain already, we are in for a long 9 months!
Fingers crossed. Beta is not until 1/30 bc of previously mentioned office ritual, but think I'll POAS with DH here on Friday or Saturday (so I don't have to go to work after)!
You guys are great and super at keeping up, I just can't process everything right now.
So, sorry to all of those with dreams on hold yet again and prayers for those with betas and transfers upcoming!

AFM I don't have great news. I caved and did a frer this morning (6dpt) and it was negative. I promised DH I would do it with him on Wednesday so not only did I break that promise but now it's negative and I can't even talk to him about it. Ugh! Hoping that it's just too early but just have a sinking feeling now that it didn't work.

I was just SO hopeful that it was going to be the cycle that I was even more devastated when it didn't work. As happy as I am for all of you getting good news, it was also really difficult for me emotionally.
It also doesn't help that my RE basically doesn't know what else to do since my lining doesn't really get above a 6. We are going to try a new protocol that another dr in the clinic had success with a similar patient (so a case study of 1!) and see how my lining responds. If it doesn't get up to a 7.5, no transfer. She highly suggests starting to look into a gestational carrier at this point too since that can be a process of up to a year and nothing seems to get my lining thick enough. DH is okay with that route, but I think it'll take me a little bit to get there as I'll need to grieve the possibility of being pregnant, and DH doesn't really get that aspect of it. I did read some research over the weekend that said chiropractic treatment might help blood flow to the lining due to impingements of nerves, etc. So I might give that a try. Acupuncture didn't seem to help at all and I wasn't really a fan of it. We might seek out a second opinion while researching the gestational carrier route to see if there are any other treatment options for me.
I'll still prob lurk here and there on the board, but mentally I think I need a break so probably won't be posting much.
@emgem819 I'm still holding out hope for you! A friend of mine who did IVF got a negative HPT but a great beta and is about 14 weeks now. Sending lots of positive vibes your way that you get a nice surprise.
@ChocolateIsLife I love the new name first of all haha. We had agreed that today would be the POAS day but I cheated and did it yesterday with a Dollar Tree one which was negative. It was entirely too early and rationally I knew this. DH has the other three tests hidden and will leave them for me in the bathroom after he comes to bed like the tooth ferry haha

I would absolutely get a second opinion while you are waiting things out, it can't hurt. SwtAnana don't worry to much (hard to do I totally know...did I mention I peed on 4 sticks 1 day)...but my frer didn't get much darker (if darker at all till Beta day and even then it wasn't super crazy dark). Best of luck with POASIng...good news for sure!!
rainbowwishes5 dark moments for sure happen with this proccess. I am sorry you are in the darkness now. You never know when the good will come though...so maybe the 2 embies will be just the right ones at just the right time and will make you a mom to 1 or 2 (or hey even 3 or 4) babies. @becauseLove I hear you on the jinx fear. I have those same thoughts sometimes, and I can imagine it gets even more intense when you are pregnant. I am so happy for you that you are feeling all of those fun symptoms though! Ok maybe not so fun, but its definitely reassuring!

AFM nothing much to report other than symptoms are slowly showing up. My boobs are only just now starting to get tender. I was one of those who always had super painful boobs during my regular luteal phase (and always a BFN), so I suppose one of my earliest pregnancy signs was NOT getting sore. I did, however, wake up Sunday night around midnight with horrific nausea and intestinal agony and spent some quality time in the bathroom while my dog whined outside the door. Never thought I would be happy about feeling like puking, but that's what infertility does!
Afm, I am 5dp5dt and still going with our plan of not testing before our beta on Sunday...half way there.
