My symptoms are all strange ones. Anyone else get horrible night sweats, have red/white palms, broken capillaries all over hands, face, chest, legs, and extremely dry mouth/eyes?
@plumpous I totally felt baby movement right at 13 weeks. I knew it wasn't gas because it was the exact place where I had a CVS with my last pregnancy-so it had to be my uterus. Now that I'm 16+3 weeks I feel it multiple times a day and it's getting stronger, but at the time I only felt it when sitting with my legs outstretched for hours. I'm a FTM too!
I am just freaking miserable. I am nauseous 24/7 and my headaches are out of control. Nothing sounds even remotely good to eat but if I don't eat then I get super sick and throw up. I'm hoping this fades away fast because it is really hard to be productive.

It would be great if I could stop burping up fish oil from the prenatal vitamins. Is this still an issue with the gummy pre-natals? I think I need to switch brands because I gag every time.
I used to take Vita Fusion prenatal gummies (pre-pregnancy) and they didn't give me that issue. I currently take Nature Made (I think?) with DHA and they don't give me any burps, but they are a pretty big pill if you don't mind that.
I've spent probably $100 on kale-ribbean breeze smoothies from Jamba Juice in the last couple weeks I've been craving them so hard. I drove 30 minutes to the nearest Whole Foods for passion fruit mango juice so I can make them at home. I've made two since I got back home. Anything processed, too sugary, fatty, makes me sick.
@cssme13, how you feel is exactly how I felt until about 2-3 weeks ago. Hopefully you're at the tail end of it
I feel guilty because I was led to believe that during 2nd trimester, I'd be walking around looking like a glowing goddess, with super-human like energy and long, lustrous hair and nails. Nope, wrong, none of the above. I feel like a beached whale most of the time because I can't eat a decent meal without my stomach blowing up like a balloon. Also my skin and nails SUCK, even worse than before. I've been getting back pain now and have still had this persistent tenderness in my tailbone that has lasted over a week. I feel guilty because I feel like I'm not enjoying this time like I should be because time IS moving so fast. I can't help but feel like crap being a 24 year old with a pizza face, busting out of all my clothes and have the finger nails of a hobo.
You just described me to a T! That's so funny. With my son I was that glowing goddess. I felt AMAZING and gorgeous and I said often if pregnancy lasted 5 years I'd be so happy. And now with this pregnancy (it's a girl, maybe that's the difference) I feel and look like a hobo.
It would be great if I could stop burping up fish oil from the prenatal vitamins. Is this still an issue with the gummy pre-natals? I think I need to switch brands because I gag every time.
I use gummy prenatals and love them. Like I get mad I can only have two. I think they're delicious!
@oheliza44 I take Nordic naturals prenatal DHA - no burping. I think someone mentioned putting fish oil in the fridge to help with burping on another thread - could be worth a try.
My pelvis literally feels like it's going to break in half already. I'm walking around like I'm 30 weeks pregnant. This Is WAAAY to early for this! I can't even sleep!
@ThePecks try a tablespoon of filtered apple cider vinegar. You can straight shot it or mix it with water. I use it when I get heartburn and it's gone in like half an hour.
I'm 13+6, and my nausea has pretty much subsided as long as I eat. I'm *starting* to get energy back, but it's slow coming back. Definitely starting to get constipated and gas pains, which SUCKS. It could also be combined with uterus pain.
I SWEAR I felt a little flutter in my uterus yesterday, but DH thinks it was prob just gas
Horrible horrible gas. Anyone else in this boat? It's truly terrifying and I have had it every day the last month regardless what I eat but it's really picked up the last week
@nktrodden826 I swapped to honest and co (buy at target or through them) and I love their prenatal and then I take DHA from target. I did up and up plant based and I had been getting sick from my prenatals- smartypants, you had to take 6 chewables- and it is soo much better so do swap! And swap again if needed.
So my symptom that makes me nervous is I am not gaining a lot of weight. I do have the start of a bump. I am 15 weeks and a few days and I have been eating real food since 12 weeks ---when I did lose weight due to morning sickness. I am kind of the same weight I have been the whole time....but my doc did say at one point, we all have a pound or two to lose...it's ok, but anyone else or STM when did the it start?
Oh and so many less zits, but definitely having my sinuses heat up a little (just dry nose and more conjustion).
Hey everyone, I just noticed this is the july thread but i'm just kind of concerned. I'm due august 1st and i'm having really bad cramps. Every once in a while in my lower groin/abdomen area on the right side, so bad I automatically bend in half and feel like i'm going to vomit. My dr. didn't seem to be too concerned saying that it is a normal thing to happen as my uterus starts to expand but I can't seem to not worry since it is so painful. Since having it yesterday I have had stomach cramps pretty painful and all over. Anyone else experience this? Thanks in advance.
@Lindstothee if I were you I would call your Dr again today and request to be seen. I'm not saying it to worry you but if you're seriously concerned and feeling uncomfortable it's better to err on the side of caution. That said, it could just be really bad rLp...hang in there!
@ktewart@ThePecks I am also having the hip pain. Even when I take short naps I end up w pain on the side I slept on. I got a snoogle pillow but haven't tried it yet. And some of my friends have told me it's not very easy or comfortable to use. If not I'm def going to check out the pillow @CarsonsMommy mentioned. @ktewart how's your energy been? My app says at 15 w I should have all this energy. Yeah right!! I'm as tired as ever. I'm wondering if it's a twin thing...my body is hitting a wall already I don't know how I will get to the end. It'll be worth it of course but omg I feel like total sh*t. I'm a ftm.
@Lindstothee, yes. Get a heating pad or hot water bottle. Also I noticed mine seem worse when I haven't been drinking enough water.
I think cramping becomes more of a concern if you're spotting or bleeding as well, if you are I'd go to urgent care or the ER if your doctor doesn't seemed concerned.
@irishrose54, oh thank goodness it's not just me, haha. I literally looked at my husband yesterday and was like, second trimester energy my ass! I'm literally ready to pass out by 3 pm. I asked him how in God's name I'm supposed to make it another 5 and a half months like this. I feel like I just have no energy and, almost worse, no motivation to get things done. I seriously feel like such a slug. Glad it's not just me!

Thanks everyone, I'm a FTM and this is scary haha! The pain does come and go and I can feel gas moving around in there so I guess as long as I don't feel bleeding I guess i'll wait till my next appt. I hadn't gone to the bathroom very well for about 5 days so maybe its just all catching up. I get paranoid at the smallest things because I didn't really have any issues at all the first trimester, no morning sickness or anything. So it begins.
@Lindstothee I had bad cramps in my early pregnancy. it felt like the worst menstrual cramps of my life. I thought it was going to be like that for the entire pregnancy. But they subsided after a few weeks. Like others said, I did go to my doctor. He said a transvaginal ultrasound and everything was fine. He said cramping is normal and was not worried if there is no bleeding.
Alsoa Second Trimester board recommended the squatty potty for constipation. I already had one and tried it after being constipated for days. It worked. I'm still constipated but the squatty potty does help when I get really "backed up."
@Lindstothee I've been told that as long as I am still walking and there is no bleeding, any pain is fair game. Nonsense to me but I'm at 15 weeks and baby is doing just fine, so there's that. If you do get really worried about it you can always go to an Urgent Care or the ER if it's bad enough. Not going for 5 days is absolutely enough to cause some serious pain. Drink some water, use a box to put your feet up on to help the go, and definitely try some prune juice. You'll feel better regardless if you get unclogged. Actually if it goes much longer I would be calling your doctor about that problem.

Better! Energy is definitely coming back, I don't feel so wiped during the day. But on the flip side, I'm sleeping like crap and getting my usual 2nd trimester headaches. This time I refuse to suffer through, though. Also becoming more frequent is the heartburn, and still haunted by constipation.
@JAM85 I'm in exactly the same boat. It's to the point that I'm so full of gas by late afternoon/early evenings that people at work say "ZOMG you're showing! It's totally a baby bump!" I actually told a few that it's nothing but farts just to shut them up about it!
I can not get warm! Anyone else else having good this issue?
Yes! DH is going crazy because I'm trying to keep our house like a sauna. It's not even THAT cold here (central Cal) but I'm freezing always no matter how many layers!!!
@OperaSingerMommy I'm walking around in my robe and my toddler just informed me it's not morning and I look silly. Also I am so excited to leave the east coast for a week in San Diego and burritos I want all the carnitas
@munchkinsmama Haha, the other day I asked DH to get DD dressed and please grab her coat. I came out and she was wearing a bathrobe as a jacket over her clothes! Dad fail!
Enjoy San Diego! We were there a few years ago and had a blast at the zoo and eating ALL OF THE TACOS!
I am having some serious temperature regulation issues. One minute I am freezing, and 5 minutes later I am so hot I feel like I'm about to spontaneously combust!
@supermom83 I have the same problem. It's not all the time, but it seems like the warmer or colder I get the more likely I am to swing wildly to the other side

@kerils yeah i've been drinking tons of water, almost 6-7 bottles a day. I feel like I can't get enough of it. My system is finally starting to act normal bathroom wise but man these cramps are harsh. I guess it probably is just gas and everything moving around, but its rough. I tried to see if I could get my check up apt moved up but they're booked solid so I'll be going in next wed. If it gets bad enough I'll go to the er though. Thanks for all the advice ladies, I appreciate it
I just felt a really weird sensation in my stomach. It's as if I had a guitar string/elastic band inside of me and someone just strummed it hard. My insides just went TWANGGGGGGG. That's the only way I can think to describe it. It was weird and kind of unpleasant. I assume it's gas.
Leg cramps have started. I'm ALREADY uncomfortable at night and can't seem to find a position that feels good. Sleeping on my belly is a no-go since having DS (which is super sad because that was how I always slept prior to having a kid), and now I feel uncomfortable on my back. So I flip-flop on my sides and have started getting calf cramps
Leg cramps and RLS is the absolute worst! If I drink any caffeine in the afternoon, I'm up all night with stupid restless legs ugh.
@OperaSingerMommy I'm walking around in my robe and my toddler just informed me it's not morning and I look silly. Also I am so excited to leave the east coast for a week in San Diego and burritos I want all the carnitas
We have the best Mexican food here to say the least! It helps that I married into a big Mexican family and get the good stuff all the time. My husband's grandma can't speak English but she'll bring me burritos all the time, just touch my stomach and say, feed baby. I love it! Do you have family in SD or just coming for vacay?

Re: Weekly Symptoms - 1/16
I occasionally take a separate fish oil vitamin. Also Nature Made. No fish burps.
