Hey ladies, I spoke with my clinic today. The embryo that they accidentally thawed changed from a 4AB to a 4AC. They said this is still a good grading, so we are going to go ahead and still use this embryo for the transfer. I just feel attached to this embryo, like it has already been through so much. Since my period started today (period cramps combined with surgery soreness is lovely), I will be starting estrogen patches tomorrow, and my transfer is set for Feb 2nd. Not sure if i still belong is this group or if i should move to Feb FET, so i introduced myself over there.

Nerves are starting to set in for beta on Tuesday. I've been so positive it's worked this time and I had a fleeting thought of the possibility of not getting good news and whoa....all the emotions. To think of it not working has me totally terrified and a hot mess tonight. I've been able to pick myself up from all the other times it hasn't worked but it just feels like it will be so much harder this time for some reason. Really hoping I can stay distracted this weekend and get back to a positive mindset.
@LeFemmeViolette I just keep thinking this spotting is a good sign. Are you cramping at all? Your Beta is soon thank goodness!

@APM_SLP are you sure your done? Lol. We went into all this 4 yrs ago only wanting 1 child. We got twins and said we'd never do this again, disposed of our 3 Frosties. Thank you ladies! I honestly don't know what I would do without all of you! I'm feeling better this morning and just trying not to think about it. What ever happens will happen at this point and if it's meant to be, it will. It's still scary as all heck but nothing I can do about it so I just have to be positive.
@ktc18 it might still be early for you! I know some ppl that get a negative at 5dp and then on day 6 or 7 get a positive. Especially with a frozen I've heard it can take longer to implant and get a high enough level of hcg going. I still have hope for you!

@ktc18 I'm on day 6, but I'm trying to hold out until at least day 8 to POAS. Fortunately, I don't have and HPTs, so I'm going to have to actively choose to do it by going to the store to get one.

I was hoping to get a little implantation bleeding as a sign, but our bodies are not identical,so who knows what is happening up there. Are you using an HPT at all before Monday???

Question: at what day after transfer did you get your first beta done? i forgot what I did before and some are getting them at the 2w mark but my dr office says they do them at 2 days after transfer and then at 4 days. Doesn't that seem soon? Would I even get a # at that time? Or do y'all think they are just bringing me in for other bloodwork? im thinking too much and starting to confuse myself over here lol

AFM: I had an argument with my mom this morning and it was painfully discouraging. My husband will be out of town for the transfer, since the original date changed. Since he can't be there, I really want my sister in law present (also my best friend). We have been through so much together, and she has been such an amazing support system for me throughout our entire infertility process. I have a good relationship with my mom, but we have never been close when it comes to intimate moments in life, and she just recently became comfortable talking about IVF with me. When I told my mom that DH would be out of town, but my SIL will be coming, she pretty much freaked out, and said that I'm not going to even call her when I am in labor (this was probably a 2 minute conversation before she hung up). I feel like this is not something she is entitled to be a part of ( I feel mean for saying that, but I don't know how to express otherwise). Most people don't have a parent present while implanting an embryo into their uterus, and I feel this is a private and personal decision for me to make. I have tried to include her in our process as much as I can to where things aren't uncomfortable. This has been stressing me out all day, and I feel like regardless what I do on the transfer day, i'm going to be stressed and feel guilty.

@winnie81 try not to feel guilty or bad about your mom. This is your choice and you need to do what you feel comfortable with! My mom knows what we are going through but doesn't bring it up too often, unless I do. She has said before that it hurts her to the core to think about me having to deal with this and because of that, she feels a lot of guilt as a parent and there's nothing she can do to help and sometimes doesn't say the most appropriate things (there's always adoption). I know she's coming from a place of love though and isn't sure what to say or the ins/outs of this process. Maybe your mom just doesn't really know how to process it and it's not coming across in the best way. I think you phrased it perfectly on here and hopefully she understands. You can even make a joke out of it saying would she want to be in the bedroom if you were able to conceive the old fashioned way? Lol. Now that's a mental picture!!

@Winnie81 I agree that this is your journey and your choice. It's so great you can set boundaries and hold them with your mother. My mom is dead, but my dad has been really unsupportive during this process, and I've just stopped talking to him about the whole process. (He doesn't ask about it, so that makes it pretty easy.) It's good you have someone you feel close enough to (your sister-in-law) to stand in for your husband during the transfer.

I did poas this morning with no luck. I'm only 5dp but I'm starting to get doubtful.

@ktc18 it might still be early for you! I know some ppl that get a negative at 5dp and then on day 6 or 7 get a positive. Especially with a frozen I've heard it can take longer to implant and get a high enough level of hcg going. I still have hope for you!

AFM: I had an argument with my mom this morning and it was painfully discouraging. My husband will be out of town for the transfer, since the original date changed. Since he can't be there, I really want my sister in law present (also my best friend). We have been through so much together, and she has been such an amazing support system for me throughout our entire infertility process. I have a good relationship with my mom, but we have never been close when it comes to intimate moments in life, and she just recently became comfortable talking about IVF with me. When I told my mom that DH would be out of town, but my SIL will be coming, she pretty much freaked out, and said that I'm not going to even call her when I am in labor (this was probably a 2 minute conversation before she hung up). I feel like this is not something she is entitled to be a part of ( I feel mean for saying that, but I don't know how to express otherwise). Most people don't have a parent present while implanting an embryo into their uterus, and I feel this is a private and personal decision for me to make. I have tried to include her in our process as much as I can to where things aren't uncomfortable. This has been stressing me out all day, and I feel like regardless what I do on the transfer day, i'm going to be stressed and feel guilty.

@winnie81 try not to feel guilty or bad about your mom. This is your choice and you need to do what you feel comfortable with! My mom knows what we are going through but doesn't bring it up too often, unless I do. She has said before that it hurts her to the core to think about me having to deal with this and because of that, she feels a lot of guilt as a parent and there's nothing she can do to help and sometimes doesn't say the most appropriate things (there's always adoption). I know she's coming from a place of love though and isn't sure what to say or the ins/outs of this process. Maybe your mom just doesn't really know how to process it and it's not coming across in the best way. I think you phrased it perfectly on here and hopefully she understands. You can even make a joke out of it saying would she want to be in the bedroom if you were able to conceive the old fashioned way? Lol. Now that's a mental picture!!

@Winnie81 I agree that this is your journey and your choice. It's so great you can set boundaries and hold them with your mother. My mom is dead, but my dad has been really unsupportive during this process, and I've just stopped talking to him about the whole process. (He doesn't ask about it, so that makes it pretty easy.) It's good you have someone you feel close enough to (your sister-in-law) to stand in for your husband during the transfer.
