@Stankonia2014 a woman in my J14 fb group mentioned they were predicted to get a pretty nasty ice storm too. I hope it isn't as bad as they think and you guys stay safe and cozy hunkered down at home!

I have a three day weekend, but my husband works Saturday and Monday. I anticipate a lot of sweatpants and Netflix.

I binged through all of this new Australian show Glitch without realizing it this week and then was super disappointed because I still needed my detective show fix. Now I'm watching the second season of Broadchurch and it is amazing.

So yeah, sweatpants and dark mystery shows for me this weekend. Gonna get pretty crazy in here.

We are having a small family birthday party for my daughter tomorrow. It is ar our house so I have a million things to clean and some food to make tomorrow. Every year I say I am done with parties, but here I am doing another one.

Sunday is recover from the party day and I am off Monday but have to take one of our dogs to get a tumor removed and my daughter to her 3 year well check visit.

We were supposed to get hit with the ice storm today and it continue to be bad until Sunday. Before Christmas there was a freak ice storm and schools couldn't get kits home until 8pm and some rural areas kids had to stay overnight. People were stuck on roads for hours and hours. So this time everyone called off schools for today yesterday so no one would be out. Tons of businesses also closed in advance. And nothing happened today so far lol. But I totally understand being overly cautious after last time! It still might get bad tonight and tomorrow. We plan to stay in and warm all weekend and hopefully not go crazy lol.

I don't think we have any bad weather headed our way, just much colder temps. DH is up in NH for a boys weekend with his college buddies (where they pretend/drink like they are still in college for 1 day and then spend 2 days recovering). One of my oldest friends is coming to visit tomorrow from NY, but we'll probably just have a fun girls night in (with a little football mixed in - gotta watch the Pats). Sunday DS has a birthday party. Monday I have to do round 2 of the quad screen blood draw.

We have a 4 day weekend. It was beautiful out today and my 2 year old had a blast playing in the sprinkler. I also signed my oldest up for gymnastics. She's super excited.

On a pregnancy note had an ultrasound today and found out my placenta is anterior and has a nice little lip right over my cervix and baby was kicking the crap out of it. So continued pelvic rest.. boo. Dh asked 3 times if they were SURE pelvic rest was needed. Lol.

This weekend we are taking DD to Disney on Ice. I am overly excited about it.
We also have a bday party for her classmate on Sunday. It's a warehouse set up with tons of bounce houses and giant inflatable slides. She should get completely worn out and have a ton of fun.

We had a birthday party tonight for our neighbor who turned 40. My hubby and I drove separately so he could stay longer past our sons bedtime. It was a good plan because my son threw up all over their garage! He seems fine though, maybe too much to eat and too much running around.

Tomorrow is grocery shopping day and cleaning. Sunday is whatever cleaning I don't get done tomorrow. Then we have our daycares holiday party in the evening.

I'm in the Midwest. Why haven't I heard of this ice storm...?

tonight we went to dinner for my work's holiday party. It's at one of those places where they bring around meat on a big skewer thing. @merrylea it's called Samba Brazilian Grill downtown if you've heard of it or been there!
Tomorrow DH has to work and I'm going to babysit in the afternoon.
Sunday im taking him to the Wisconsin Dells to some Ice Castle thing! Hope he likes it!

Tomorrow was supposed to be a day to catch up on cleaning, laundry, and unfinished home projects but my FIL will now be in town. That's irritating. Sunday we have plans to go to a Japanese steakhouse and I am so excited. I've been craving this place for months now. Monday we will be doing one of the Disney parks. We haven't decided yet.

Everone enjoy the cold weather! I'll be here in Florida melting and wishing for any bit of cool weather.

DD and I are getting over colds. This is the first weekend in a long time where we don't have any plans. We will probably just have a lot of chill time at home and catch up on cleaning/laundry. Depending on how DD and I are doing, we may take her to see Sing. Im so looking forward to no definitive plans. My introverted soul is aching for some down time.

Last night went to BIL's graduation from the city fire academy. Afterwards there was a huge party, and I was a good little pregnant DD.

I'm hoping to get some purging and organizing done this weekend. DH and I combined households about a year and a half ago, and we still have so much stuff. We both are widowed, so it's literally 4 people's stuff. I'd love for things to be streamlined before the LO arrives.

@alm52386 - Yup. Been there. DH loves that place. There is just so much meat. I feel like I would leave with a meat baby as well as my real baby! My fave is the grilled pineapple.

My parents are coming soon to see my DD beforehand my birthday dinner with my ILS and others. I'm not looking forward to spending time with their exchange student or DHs aunt. The exchange student is super antisocial and will spend the night with his face buried in his phone. The Aunt is so self centered and a drama queen. I'm pregnant and grumpy I have no tolerance lately for other people's bull.

@ladylolly89 and @Stankonia2014, another Nebraskan here prepping for this ice storm headed our way. I went to the store this morning and it was a HOT MESS. But I got my ice cream and some actual food so we will survive if it actually hits.

My parents have DS this weekend because DH and I went to Eric Church last night and we both work tomorrow. In the meantime, I have the house to myself today and tomorrow since I work nights and DH works days and I plan on doing absolutely nothing. It's gonna be amazing. I slept in this morning and stayed in bed til 1030 and it was fabulous.

MIL is down helping us since DD has double pneumonia and I have sinus and upper respiratory infection. She is awesome. She got up with DD this morning, made us dinner last night and tonight, and cleaned my whole kitchen.

Sitting and waiting for my spinach zucchini Stromboli to cook and hoping that my switch of mushrooms (icky to everyone in my family) for zucchini isn't a disaster. This is after an afternoon where DD decided she was going to go nap-free....fun times for all! (My mom did say she wished she was here to help us - but she's 4+ hours away, so not exactly a helpful statement!)

JessyKV She is amazing and I am so thankful for her. After I had DD, I was a horrible mess (rough delivery) and she stayed to take care of me while DH ran back and forth to the NICU for DD. She is a godsend!

Patriots game time! DH, myself and the kids have been rocking our gear all day. DS and I made chocolate chip cookies and now are waiting for kickoff. Bedtime will have to wait until kickoff for DS. This is serious.

Yeah game time! I let DS stay up and watch the first quarter (I may regret that in the morning). If we win tonight, DH and I have tickets to next week's game.

DS has 2 jerseys - Brady and Wilfork. He had a full on nutty yesterday because he couldn't find his Brady jersey and he couldn't wear wilfork because he plays for the wrong team now.

@awillis13 I'm starting to wonder if Brady is playing tonight with the way this game is going. I am PISSED at this bush league play. DS has a Brady jersey and DH has a Wilfork jersey (I have Bruschi). I yelled at DH last quarter to take the damn thing off - he is jinxing us! This will all be his fault of we lose.

@Elyse1384 unfortunately I feel like this happens a lot. Games like this, that SHOULD be an easy win, we struggle. It's an ugly game right now, and there's no reason for it. They are so out of sync. I don't want to be in that locker room at halftime.
