For those interested in YNAB - it is pretty good. It's not just an app though - keep in mind it's a whole methodology. The great thing is that they have lots of videos and even live classes to help you get the hang of it, though it's fairly straightforward.
@teamla yeah but you don't have to buy into the whole methodology to use it, though.
On another note, March already has three babies! One born super early at ~25 weeks (in the NICU obs but seeming to be progressing okay) and twins born last week, I think.

@catem07 I know! I saw that!! Thankfully, it seems all those babies are doing as well as they could be. We are RIGHT around the corner from meeting ours, but I hope we all (even our twin moms) can make it far enough along to have super healthy babies.
Thanks everyone for the budgeting tips. DH and I are fairly good with our money, but I want to be even better this year knowing exactly where all my money goes. I think I'll try YNAB, they even have a free 34 day trial online! Score.

I'm technically going to be a march mama now.. bc they won't let me go past 39 weeks and that brings me to March 31st.. but I'm staying right here, you're all stuck with me now!
I am super excited this afternoon. I talked to my boss and she is going to allow me to modify my schedule weekly to accommodate for appointments and then if I'm feeling extra tired one day, I can go home and make up my time on another day. She is normally not flexible at all so I'm not totally sure where her niceness is coming from but I'll take it!
@KirstinH88 Thanks for the app tip! I downloaded several early on that didn't work at all. I did try Shell but for some reason it says it is not compatible with my phone (iphone 5C) so I made DH download it on his phone this evening and it worked! It was very faint, but exciting!
Has anyone sent their wedding dress to be cleaned and preserved? Mine has been siting at the top of our guest room closet for three years but wil need a new home with DD moving into her big girl room. I've seen a few places online that you send them in but wanted to know if anyone had any experience or recommendations?
@belocin The dress shop that I got my dress from did it through some service...I can't remember what it was. My mom actually took it and dropped it off while we were on our honeymoon, haha. You might try calling around to some dress shops and see what they recommend?
Truthfully I haven't gotten Shell to work yet. But I'm used to my Doppler finding the heartbeat in mere seconds. Haha. I'll try it again but she may just be too active when I try, and I notice she gets more active when I'm trying it like she can hear it and runs away. Lol. It did pick up my heartbeat so I'll have to try it again.
@KirstinH88 I was kind of waiting for this post! I had to work so couldn't actually watch the game.. had it Dvr'd but my husband deleted it as I had a really bad night at work & he didn't think I needed to see it.. smart man.
@HappyAnjel Sorry for your bad night at work. Your H is a smart man. Hopefully you aren't too hurt/annoyed by my playful banter. Most of the first half was very scary for the Packers. I honestly didn't think we looked very good. Thankfully (for me) we pulled our shit together.
@KirstinH88 not annoyed or hurt at all by your post. Banter is the best part of football, and had it been the other way around you and @mrsstuessy would have read the same (but other way around obviously)!
And thanks, long story short basically a co worker stole from me. I called DH crying on the way home and he told me to just put in my notice (which I wasn't going to do until the end of February)
I have a really good idea who it was, but can't "prove" anything. so will just be super careful around that person until I'm actually out the door. Just upset as I wouldn't do that to anyone! Hopefully Karma sorts it out.
I didn't want to start a new post and I also didn't want to resurrect an old one, but a few of you asked me to update a situation I detailed a few weeks ago in the "why my pregnant self is crying" thread. My sister's daughter (< 2) had her open heart surgery this morning. It was quite traumatic for all involved, however the surgeons were fairly confident that they were able to repair the two major issues (a sizable hole/tear and a genetic abnormality with one of the valves) and after around 8 hours Char was awake and alert and breathing on her own. My niece will spend 5-7 days in the ICU and recovery time is expected to be about 6 weeks at home, bringing things right up to my sister's due date, but they are taking things one step at a time. Today was a good day and the surgery was considered a success with her oxygen levels already much improved! Thank you again for all of your well wishes. My niece is now a proud member of the "zipper club."
@Dannylion24 wow! I'm so glad it went well. Still praying for a speedy recovery. And for your sister dealing with all this in her third trimester. Thanks for the update.
@Dannylion24 Yay!!! So glad everything went well for your nieces surgery! Praying for a speedy recovery and that all the healing is done before your sisters newest baby arrives.
I'm sure that your sister and all of your family are sighing with relief @Dannylion24. What a brave little lady Char must be! Sending prayers to all of you...
@Dannylion24 So glad for the update and great news! Praying for a speedy and easy recovery and thinking of your sister handling it all in such a crucial time.
Thanks, ladies! @KirstinH88@HGRich@thecavfamily@Nolegirl1185 if all goes well tonight she should be discharged tomorrow from the hospital a bit ahead of schedule. We are all overjoyed. The picture is of Char and I facetiming this morning (we live in PA, they are in Florida).
