LOL @kswiger06, my DD comes downstairs in her sleep a few nights a week. I just turn her around, walk her upstairs, and put her back in bed. It's pretty amusing though!!
I guess I've reached the point of this pregnancy where the security guard at work stopped me on my way in to request I start parking in a handicapped spot. thanks dude!
Last night, I had a dream that I got a hug from the Dahli Lama. Plus, he autographed the crochet pattern book I'm using to make LO's baby blanket. I blame the Benadryl.
Yup, 10 cm of snow coming our way starting around noon. We've been getting weekly snowstorms.... cleaning off the car sucks when you're this pregnant.
We're on our second snow day in a row today. I'm expecting school tomorrow but my coworker says the school parking lots are a mess around the district. He's predicting that kids are off tomorrow and that teachers will get a 2 hour delay and if that's the case I AM HERE FOR IT. Sleeping in late (after a 4-day weekend, nonetheless!) and then casually moseying in to crank out some long-term sub plans for 5 hours? Yes please!

I had a dream last night that I had my baby, and he was mad that I wouldn't give him frozen yogurt instead of breast milk. Pregnancy dreams are weird.
Hearing my kiddo sing(his version of sing) along to his nursery rhymes in the other room, is making me all warm and fuzzy inside.. but then again, like take your nap kid.
My older sister just had her baby girl!! Her water broke at 11pm last night and she had the baby at 3:45pm today! Absolutely nothing went according to plan, but everyone is healthy and she's super happy to have her baby in hand ...and let me tell you, her baby is ADORABLE! I'm an aunt, yay!
Total first world problem......when your cleaning lady turns up 45mins earlier than she said she would be there & youre not even dressed never mind ready to leave the house!
So, over winter break I cleaned my kitchen really really well. And this morning I reached for a dish towel and found mouse poop ALL OVER all our dish towels! And a 1/2 eaten apple. EW EW EW EW EW EW. So either I had mice and my cleaning scared them from their normal home without me noticing OR all this god-awful cold weather drove them into the house.
Either way H is getting traps and setting them up after work and I'll be scrubbing everything we own with bleach... Fun times.

Uggggg that sucks!! We had lots of mice when we moved in to our house this summer and I cried about them. DH got the traps where they have to go all the way in and they get stuck in there and they worked great. Like this:

We don't have mice...but silverfish. No idea where they come from, but our traps have reduced their numbers significantly. ugh ugh ugh
Oh no @Gretchypoo! Weve always found that a piece of chocolate in the traps works the best! Hopefully you get them sorted! Is there an exterminaton company that can come check around the house to see where theyre getting in & block it up? Apparently they can get in a hole as small as a biro pen!
@Gretchypoo UGH That sucks! We always have used peanut butter in mouse traps in the past. Also, not to be gross, **Gross warning** but they do have electric options now if your DH is squeamish about things and you don't care about live traps... it is quick, and no guts. ** end gross warning**
So, apparently I won a $400 gift card for being in the first group of people at work to do insurance enrollment. They recommend that it's an "apple watch value", and I'm over here thinking, yes, that's our stroller! Babies R Us, here we come!
@Gretchypoo eeeeew! Mice are the worst for me. Maybe tied with spiders.
Since I can't bend over, I pick things up with my feet a lot. Last week in my parents' bathroom, I saw what I thought was the cardboard box from some bar soap on the ground and tried to get it with my toes. Turns out it was a sticky box trap to catch scorpions. AWESOME. I wigged out. Luckily there were no visitors in there.
My kitchen looks like a baby store threw up in it. My H decided to be awesome and bring in all the bins of baby clothes from the garage. He then proceeded to unpack them and sort them into piles by sizes(they were for the most part but the older sizes kind of got shuffled around). I am incredibly grateful he has taken initiative and been so helpful with prepping this time around! Now, I've just got to go through the piles & decide what is a "keeper" and what can go.
On another note, DS1 is acting like he suddenly wants to put on the baby clothes and pull out the toys from the bins. Of course he does, it's like somehow he KNOWS it was his, and doesn't want to share.
@gretchypoo my husband does commercial wildlife nuisance removal, and has found these traps to be really effective... everytime I try to get the actual link, the Walmart app opens up so I did a screen shot... but anyway you put the trap against a wall (like the back or side of that cabinet) and the mice will walk in and get stuck... they are trapped live so if you choose to release them you can or you can drown them if that's more your style. But they are reusable so you'd have it forever... in our store we bought them for $7 a piece. You shouldn't need bait, but my husband throws a little peanut butter in as a lure.
@Gretchypoo another option to keep them out is put a little peppermint oil on a cotton ball and place them around your house. Something about the smell keeps them away. We had a mouse problem a few years ago and it helped a ton! Plus, your house smells like peppermint!
@Gretchypoo It's actually been in the news lately that the sudden cold weather in my area has driven rodents inside. So probably not your masterful cleaning, just a really unfortunate coincidence.
I drove my son to preschool this morning totally blasting Shook Me All Night Long on repeat per his request. We jammed all the way there. It was pretty awesome.
Not near as creepy as a rodent, but I saw a roach crawl out of my kitchen drain the other night and FREAKED....I washed everything in and around the sink, scrubbed the counters, mopped the floor....it was ridiculous.

This happened when we first moved into our house. It was a foreclosure so it had been empty for months. We bought this gel that you put like near the drain and it works really well if you want a link! Roaches are the WORST!

Eeek a roach is way creepier to me than a rodent. We use Have a Heart Traps with peanut butter when we think there is a mouse in our house and have always caught the culprit within a couple hours and safely relocated them. I used to get so mad that my dad would set lethal mouse traps when I lived with them b/c I was scared if my one of my hamsters got out of their cages they'd probably be a victim of the trap.
Funny rodent story. A couple of years ago I was eating breakfast in my apartment when I noticed my hamster's ball start sliding across the floor. At first I didn't think anything of it but then I was like wait I didn't put him in his ball... Sure enough my hamster was safe and asleep in his cage but the ball was still moving. I got down to see and it turned out to be a little black mouse had gotten stuck in the ball. I think it's because my hamster was notorious for leaving little snacks in his ball for later. I took the mouse outside and let him go after naming him of course. Sadly I never saw him again. I almost kept him b/c he was really sweet and didn't seem scared at all but I was worried if he had a disease he might pass it to my hamster so I just washed everything really good.

Went to the frozen yogurt bar and had a big tub of that for lunch because I've been craving it and I've had 2 cervical checks/NST's this week and I deserve it. But I don't know who I was kidding thinking that'd fill me up... I'm starving and dinner is like 4 hours away. SOS.
Keeping with the infestation theme: I moved to our guest bedroom last night because I wasn't really able to sleep and didn't want to keep my husband awake, and I heard all kinds of scratching and scampering in the attic It sounds like squirrels to me - hoping it's nothing scarier like a racoon - eek!
Watching food network and I now want empanadas, fish and chips and a skirt steak with chimmichurri. This is great considering I haven't had an appetite for the last 2 weeks. Yay I think my medicine is working!! But now I need food and I have no desire to cook or go to the store.
Someone on TTGP posted a link to some posts collecting BMB dramas/reading material, and of course some of F17's early drama was mentioned. So it made me think of all you lovely ladies and I wanted to come say 'ello!
To those that have had rough pregnancies or sad news, my heart goes out to you.
To the group as a whole, I miss your totally approps level of snark. I'll be thinking about you lovely ladies as you all welcome and/or spend the first couple of months with your bundles of joy!! Best of luck!!
I want this link to the drama thread! I always seem to miss the good stuff, and honestly I need some entertainment for tonight's episode of So You Think You Can Sleep
@beern both may and June have (had) drama threads. I believe may is still going, it's called something about alpacas... and June's got shut down but still has pages and pages to read and look through... it was the great llama thread... or something like that. From what I gather July and August have tons of drama all the time lol

ETA - So sorry to hear about the mice! When we had a mouse problem (townhouse problems...) we found these to be super effective. Not cheap, but most effective. https://www.victorpest.com/victor-electronic-rat-trap-bm240promo?gclid=Cj0KEQiAzNfDBRD2xKrO4pSnnOkBEiQAbzzeQV9dBUZQ2BUCsicqxQyFch7j7sbCntjKtET3A7EPnVcaAjzs8P8HAQ
