Yay for all of the great reports so far! I know everyone is different, and I'm trying really hard to manage my expectations because I'm old (40 this year). Additionally, I just heard on Friday that insurance denied my prior authorization for the ivf cycle (and I've heard multiple reasons why, some of which are inaccurate), so there's that. Doctor's office is appealing and didn't say anything about how common that is, but just another thing right now.
Thinking fertile thoughts for everyone even though I'm not on all that much. Keep the good news coming!

I hear a lot of good numbers in here! I had my baseline US this past weekend and I only got 11 antral follicles ugh. Starting meds now. After how many days did you go back for monitoring, or what is the monitoring frequency after that, every day? I'm worried that my 2nd appointment is on CD6 and last time I progressed very fast and ovulated early.
@bestofjoy I went every other day, and then towards the end every day.

@Lin$say and @Nikkilegare How are yall doing... any news on your embryo reports?
Did I miss anyone else who has had ER? afm.... I cant even with this cycle... I have the sniffles, my husband is home sick... no idea how this is going to go. AAANNND the past couple of days they have dialed back my drugs to keep me from getting hyperstimulated (from 300 follistim to 75!) but it makes the whole process take longer... it looks like I will not trigger till tomorrow (will find out for sure later) and I'm just ready to be done either way.
I had my appt this morning so I will start my first injections tonight. I go back again in a week. What cd were most of your retrievals? Just curious. The nurse told me anywhere from like cd 9 - 17 sometimes. How do they determine when you are ready for retrieval?
@patricej55 I think mine was day 12? Maybe 14? Something like that.

@sleepyrn Good news, I hope you will get as many as possible. @dragonette505 Uh, being sick sucks. I wonder if your doctor told you anything about it, does it interfere? I also just started meds and even if I got over the flu a week ago, now I'm again sick with low grade fever, head and throat aches and muscle aches. I've been in bed all day. My DH is also not feeling well. I haven't yet notified my doc. My DH feels we should cancel this cycle so we get a better chance.
Question for those with insurance covered cycles: does it cover your meds too? Do you have co-pays? I just found out I have to pay for the meds which sucks because we were not planning on it, I thought insurance paid for it (at least that's what I was reading on the website). Ugh. Kind of false advertising, yeah, we cover your IVF (fine print, not the meds, but you should try through your regular insurance). When I saw the bill my eyes bulged. Upset.
Our insurance covers meds, but sometimes they make us order in multiple batches which can be a hassle. We have a copay until our $1500 deductible is met. @bestofjoy

@bestofjoy - i'm 99% certain that my insurance covers all of the meds (we had the initial consult 12 months ago before all these delays...i'll need to check my notes)! I know I am so lucky that DH's insurance has a $0 deductible/no co-pay, so we figure that if we had to pay for meds, overall it wouldn't be too bad since we're saving so much on everything else (PGD and PGS is covered since my RE argued that it's "preventative").
but yea, that would be a shock to just find out and it would be something I would want to know ahead of time! good luck with double-checkign with your insurance!
Blood test #2 yesterday and I still have not ovulated so I'll go back on Friday. Dr said I'm close so I should probably start estrogen patches Saturday. This may push my retrieval date a few days but we are proceeding as planned for now. I'm trying to be positive but I do have some anxiety I'm trying to deal with.
The military is covering most everything (except for the outside lab/Embrologist). My hubs is now retired but we get full retirement benefits.

So my job is trying to kill me....I'm a catastrophe adjuster so I travel almost full time for work, 23 days on the road a month usually. I got approval to be home as of the 22nd (when I actually start stims), and my supervisor was like "its pretty slow right now so you should be home before then too so I wouldn't worry about the week before".... The Colorado Springs area decided to get hit with SUPER high winds for multiple days and we got a bunch of claims called in. So I found out Monday at 4pm that I was driving to CO yesterday and would be gone until Saturday the 21st.... the only problem is that my baseline appointment/suppression visit was supposed to be the 18th. I freaked out and called my dr, they said they can move my visit to Friday at 130 (the latest the lab can get my blood work back etc to make sure I'm actually suppressed before starting meds on Sunday).
I'm making my own schedule for this trip so my boss said that as long as I can get my claims all done that I can drive home on Friday morning. So as of now I'm planning to leave Colo Spgs at 330am (430 central time) to make it back to KC by 130 for my appointment. If it snows while I'm here (I can't climb roofs in the snow) then I am not sure what I'll do. Possibly have to scrap this cycle, which would then move us back to March/April for our next try.
Everyone please pray/send positive vibes into the universe that the weather stays nice for the next 9 days here....
@mandasand - that is so frustrating! I really hope you ovulate soon!! Delays are just the worst!
@brela11- are you doing estrogen priming after ovulation as well?!
JuliaGoolia719 - wow, that must be so hard to have to travel that much and have your schedule being unpredictable and dependent on the weather. I will definitely pray that the weather behaves for the next week and you can get started!!
Good luck to all the ladies in TWW! Can't wait to see the groups first BFP!! Sorry to those I missed.. I can't keep up, but cheering everyone on!
AFM, today is day 1 and Friday is my baseline! Hoping for everything to look good and be able to get started. I really hope 3rd time is the charm.

@brela11 I did a home test last Friday and I had a surge so I thought I would have ovulated by Tues when I had my 2nd blood test. RE said I'm close based on numbers. I don't temp anymore, what's the point? I'm so over timed intercourse after 3 years of that.

@JamieH2000 I'm actually not sure but assume so because I am starting estrace today. They had me move my bloodwork to today since I was sure I had ovulated. I forgot to ask her what the estrace is for.
@mandasand good point. I still do just because I'm a control freak I guess. Haha hopefully your numbers Friday will show you did.
patricej55 It depends on how you are responding . I’ve previously done ER on cd 14 and 15, this time will be on 12. Good luck with the stims and keep us updated! fx

JamieH2000 Yay for 3rd time charm, totally with you on that one!! Good luck for Friday, thinking of you x
AFM I will trigger tonight! I’m on cd 10 after 8 days of stims and they saw 7 follies today measuring 12,15,2x17,19,2x21 and E2 is at 1338. I was feeling really low yesterday but suddenly this roller coaster is taking my hopes to a higher place, which I'm sure you can all relate.
@Lin&say.... I'm pretty much a hot mess husband still sick me fighting off (successfully I think) the cold that's going around) but still sniffly triggered last night FINALLY thank goodness nauseous and gross feeling And my doc already told me I'm basically a freeze all cycle... estrogen is like 6100 so I'm basically guaranteed ohss. They already have in my notes for me to take some med called cabergoline that I don't wanna take (but will) from right after retrieval currently counting 16 big follies anyway.... hoping my dh's sperm isn't wrecked and that they get these eggs out of me lol basically trying not to be a debbie downer
@dragonette505 - congrats on the triggering last night! It really sucks that you and your husband are still feeling so crummy. I hope the ER goes well tomorrow, and that you don't get ohss too badly! I've heard that med is pretty good at counter-acting it. And with the freeze all, your body can heal/feel better 100% before the transfer so there will be the best chance possible for success! Good luck and FX!
@caseyw8784 thank you so much... I know some of my downerism is these hormones.... I've never even heard of this ohss med before (or any for that matter)so it's good to hear that! Im always nervous about new meds. At my age I'm not supposed to get ohss so it's just not something I or my doctors factored in till last cycle thanks again for talking me down from the ledge
@mandasand thanks for setting up the spreadsheet! @lin&say and @nikkilegare congrats and GL to you two! AFM I just got the dreaded visit today from AF so I will be going in on Saturday (ugh) for monitoring and to start BC pills.

@dragonette505 You responded so well to the meds this cycle, many follicles!! Hopefully you will not get OHSS since your doctor caught it in time. And a freeze all cycle is better anyway, especially with the cold.
Did any of you add Ganirelix to prevent ovulation of the big follicle? Is it standard practice while on a Gonal-F cycle? Or is it just me because I tend to develop leads?
@JESSABER0414 yeah I read that somewhere ugh!! Will take it at night for sure! @bestofjoy I used Ganerelix when I had my 2 antagonist cycles. My last cycle and this current one we are using lupron (microdose lupron flare protocol)
@IfYouCanDreamIt yay for a positive attitude!! I definitely felt all the lows and highs... during this week, while waiting for the embryo transfer (tomorrow) I have surprisingly been in SUCH good spirits... I hope that helps the embryo stick!!

@sleepyrn That's so good! I have a good feeling about your batch!
@bestofjoy I went CD 5, 7, and 9. Hope that helps.
@sleepyrn Woohoo! That's awesome news!

Upset.

Together Let Us Seek the Heights

@mandasand good point. I still do just because I'm a control freak I guess. Haha hopefully your numbers Friday will show you did.
patricej55 It depends on how you are responding . I’ve previously done ER on cd 14 and 15, this time will be on 12. Good luck with the stims and keep us updated! fx
sleepyrn Great news!! thinking of you and hoping you’ll get as many as possible fx

AFM I will trigger tonight! I’m on cd 10 after 8 days of stims and they saw 7 follies today measuring 12,15,2x17,19,2x21 and E2 is at 1338. I was feeling really low yesterday but suddenly this roller coaster is taking my hopes to a higher place, which I'm sure you can all relate.

husband still sick
me fighting off (successfully I think) the cold that's going around) but still sniffly
triggered last night FINALLY thank goodness
nauseous and gross feeling
And my doc already told me I'm basically a freeze all cycle... estrogen is like 6100 so I'm basically guaranteed ohss. They already have in my notes for me to take some med called cabergoline that I don't wanna take (but will) from right after retrieval
currently counting 16 big follies
anyway.... hoping my dh's sperm isn't wrecked and that they get these eggs out of me lol
basically trying not to be a debbie downer
At my age I'm not supposed to get ohss so it's just not something I or my doctors factored in till last cycle
thanks again for talking me down from the ledge
@lin&say and @nikkilegare congrats and GL to you two!
AFM I just got the dreaded visit today from AF so I will be going in on Saturday (ugh) for monitoring and to start BC pills.
