This thread is for September moms who have previously suffered a loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, etc).

First off, let's all introduce ourselves!
My name is Briana, I am 29 and DH is 32. We live in Alabama with too many furbabies, lol... Finn (Shitzu), Scarlett (gigantic cat), Bella (tiny cat), and Sasha (8 week old husky puppy). I have been pregnant one time previously, which resulted in a loss at 8 weeks. We were lucky enough to get pregnant again quickly, and I am hoping, praying, and crossing every finger I have that this precious bean sticks!

How far along are you?
4 weeks 6 days

How are you doing?
I don't really have a good answer for this... I just feel kind of weird, I guess. I go from being excited and wanting to think about ALL the baby things to just thinking "Oh well, I'm sure it isn't going to last this time either."

When is your next appointment?
First appointment is January 17... I'll be 6 weeks 5 days. They did an US at 6 weeks 1 day last time, so I'm hoping we'll get to have one this time, as well.

I'm a teacher and today is my first official day back after Christmas break... it isn't even 11:00 yet and I'm already SO VERY SLEEPY! (the kids are at PE right now)

GTKY: Did you set a resolution for 2017?
No. I usually make resolutions that are quite silly (wear lipstick more often was last years, lol) but I didn't even make one this year other than having a healthy baby, of course!

First off, let's all introduce ourselves!
Hello all! I'm Colleen, 27 years old, and a Type 1 Diabetic. I've been married to DH for 2 1/2 years, and we have 2 dogs. Raider, a 3 yr old boy Mini Schnauzer mix, and Dex, a 3 yr old boy Terrier/Dachsaund mix. They love to play together!
I was originally on the Dec '16 BMB and had a MMC at 8 weeks with a D&C. I had a second pregnancy and was on the March 17 BMB until I had an extremely large SCH that caused stress on my body and I went into DKA with blood sugars of 100 (normal). My hcg made it to 99,000 at 7 weeks but baby did not develop a heartbeat at all. I had a D&C immediately in the ICU (after confirming loss on the ultrasound and repeat hcg went down) to also stop the bleeding from occurring. ***TW I was bleeding through the post partum diapers from the hospital every hour. My poor nurse. I still have PTSD from the bleeding, and I'm so scared! /TW

How far along are you? 4+6

How are you doing? I have ALL the symptoms! I hope it's a good thing, but I understand that people have no symptoms and have perfect pregnancies, and I had legit nausea last time and baby didn't grow near as much as my first pregnancy.

When is your next appointment? 1/27 for my 7 week dating ultrasound. (ETA I actually think I'll be 8+1?? What??)

Yes I did. As a type 1 diabetic, my resolution is to get an A1c under 6.0%. I'm hoping I can do that with the help of first trimester.

First off, let's all introduce ourselves!

Hello! My name is Heather and I live in a small country town outside of Cleveland, Ohio. I have a 4 year old son and a 7 year old black lab. I had a MMC in May at 10 weeks when ultrasound discovered I had a blighted ovum. I had a D&C the following week. I then experienced a chemical pregnancy in October.

How far along are you?

According to my last menstrual cycle 4 weeks and 5 days.

How are you doing?

Anxious but staying positive! I have taken a test almost everyday to make sure the line is still there and dark! LOL!

When is your next appointment?

Today!!! I am assuming it will just be paperwork and blood work. I am opting to go with a midwife this pregnancy.

GTKY: Did you set a resolution for 2017?

No resolutions just intention setting. I was really big into self care last year and want to continue it into the new year. I just feel better when I make sure to set time aside for myself even if it is just a good body scrub and a hot bath once a week.

First off, let's all introduce ourselves! My name is Sarah and I have been married to DH for 6 years. Sadly no furbabies for me (DH is super allergic) but I love spending time with other people's pets! We suffered an early loss at 5.5 weeks back in March.

How far along are you? 5 weeks and 2 days

How are you doing? I'm ok. Experiencing more symptoms this time around (nausea and fatigue especially) and feeling myself up every five minutes like a crazy person to make sure my boobs still hurt. Had my husband hide the last of the Wondfos so I would stop obsessively POAS!

When is your next appointment? Next Tues, Jan 10th at 6 weeks 1 day! Not 100% sure if I will get an ultrasound but I hope so!

Rant/Rave/Positive : Half of my office is out at a conference this week so things are super quiet and laid back right now. Perfect for easing myself back into work after a 2 week break!

GTKY: Did you set a resolution for 2017? Not really. I think if I could pick one now it would be to focus on enjoying the present.

First off, let's all introduce ourselves!
Hi I'm Katie and I'm 28! We've been married 3 years and have a 20 month old son. I had my miscarriage summer of 2016. Started spotting a week after getting a positive test and a week later found out I had blighted ovum at 7 weeks. Took the medication to induce miscarriage but ended up in the ER with uncontrollable bleeding 7 weeks after which led to a d&c because my hcg was still rising and placenta was still left inside.
How far along are you?
6 weeks! Got my positive Christmas morning

How are you doing?
Completely. Freaked. Out. When I gave my husband his Christmas gift ( an outfit we had picked out for baby ) I balled uncontrollably and told him I was so scared. Sore boobs, peeing always, and crazy emotional.
When is your next appointment?

I'm craving honey mustard which I normally hate and was grossed out with my sons pregnancy but it's something I also craved with my miscarriage so it feels like a little of that baby has lived on!

@JustBored10 I used to live outside Cleveland (Olmsted Falls) for about 9 years! I love and miss clev!

First off, let's all introduce ourselves! I now live in NY and I'm on #4 but this is my 7th pg. I've had two early losses (between #2 and #3) then a later 14wk loss after my third in July '15. I have a 9 y/o dd, 7 y/o ds, and a just turned 3 y/o dd. I experienced secondary infertility after that last loss and it took us 17 months and seeing an RE to finally get pg again. I used to teach before kids and now homeschool my 4th and 2nd graders.

How far along are you? 5+3

How are you doing? Yesterday my hcg was just under 7,000 so I'm feeling pretty good. Not a lot of symptoms, but they usually don't start for me until 6-8 weeks. Praying tons for a healthy pregnancy!

When is your next appointment? I have my first ultrasound 1/16!

Rant/Rave/Positive Next week we're going out of town all week so it'll be a quick week and my ultrasound will be here before we know it. My dh has a work conference at an indoor water park and we're tagging along!

ETA intro - Hi, this is my 3rd pregnancy. Had 2 mc in 2016. First was a blighted ovum in January and second I am pretty sure partially implanted on a fibroid causing a MMC in June. Both ended in D&C. Second one required a 2nd D&C in September for retained tissue and ended up with a fibroid removal as well. Started ttc again in October and here I am.

How far along are you? 5 weeks 2 days

How are you doing? Ok... I am having some back on forth with the PgAL brain. One minute I'm fine and the next my OB has me freaking out about an ectopic.

When is your next appointment? U/s on Friday to rule out ectopic and/or confirm intrauterine pregnancy.

Rant/Rave/Positive - ok, so I think my numbers are looking pretty good. (15dpo 532, 17 dpo 1207, 21 dpo 3942, and 23 dpo 6553) But my OB is concerned because my numbers are not exactly doubling in 48 hours. Am I wrong or do the numbers slow a little once you get over 1200 and then again after 6000?

@stephann85 I have heard that the higher they get, the less they go up each day... but I don't know exact numbers. Hopefully everything is perfect!

First off, let's all introduce ourselves!
I'm Ashley, I am 40 (an elusive AMAer!) and I live in Alabama (@HollyGolightly09 hey!). H and I will be married 20 years this June. We have two rescue pups and a rescue kitty. We started our TTC journey in December 2014 and have had one loss at ~8 weeks in November 2015. We began testing with our RE this year (after many months on Clomid with my OB), started injectables this past cycle, the result of which is finally a BFP - positive FRER on Christmas Day, confirmed with blood test on 12/27. I am under strict RE supervision, getting my betas drawn every two to three days with u/s every other visit or so.

How far along are you? 4+6

How are you doing? PGAL brain! Feeling physically okay, which freaks me out sometimes, unfortunately! Bloating is an issue at this point but that's about it. Peeing all the time but I'm drinking 100+ oz of water so there's that

PG after 35 brain isn't really a thing for me. Mainly because I don't feel/act my age

When is your next appointment? Like I said, I have many appointments! Next appointment is this Friday 1/6 for betas and u/s.

Rant/Rave/Positive My betas are increasing and my nurses are fabulous cheerleaders who make PGAL brain feel oh, so much better! Like everyone else, I just pray this is our rainbow baby

I'm Kristy, I'm 31 and live in Austin, Tx. I have 3 fur babies: kingston a papillion, axel an australian cattle dog and poppy who is our new kitten. We have been TTC since Dec 2015 and Im on my 4th pregnancy. After our 3rd MC I started seeing a fertility specialist and I feel like he has been much more sensitive to our concerns than my obgyn was so I'm happy about that. Being with a fertility specialist we also get weekly Sonos which makes me happy as our last 2 were missed miscarriages that both happened right after we first saw the heartbeats but we didn't know until our next apprts 3 weeks later :-(

How far along are you? 5 weeks 4 days

How are you doing? I'm a nervous wreck... but otherwise ok

When is your next appointment? I'm in the waiting room waiting for my first so no right now

I did a ton of tests after my last MC and everything came back normal but the dr has had me on 400mg of progesterone since the day after I ovulated (he medically induced ovulation so we know exactly when it was) but that's all.

hello! I am so excited to be here! I have a fur baby a shih tzu who I love so much but she also drives me up a wall. I have a son who's 16 months! And this baby will be due three days before my firstborns second birthday! I actually took my positive test on January third which was when I took my test two years earlier for my first!

How far along are you? 5+1 today

How are you doing? Doing well, not getting really excited yet until I see or heat a heartbeat

When is your next appointment? I go for my first ultrasound and appt on 1-25 at 8 weeks and 2 days

Rant/Rave/Positive: no rants or raves really just apprehensive about my upcoming appt

GTKY: Did you set a resolution for 2017? Nope, if I set one I will fail because of well... who I am as a person

First off, let's all introduce ourselves!
Hi all! This is my 3rd pregnancy- I have DD4 and lost a baby 14w in May 2015 (baby boy had holoprocensaphaly and T13). I got my BFP on 12/23, and based on my LMP my est due date is 9/5. I'm being monitored more closely due to my 2nd pregnancy- more bloodwork and ultrasounds. Hoping to stick around on this month board!

How far along are you?

How are you doing?
Nervous wreck. Just got a call from my dr that my progesterone level is low so she's putting me on the supplement. She also said my HCG is low but it's to be expected since I'm so early (bloodwork done at 4w1d) but it seemed like it was on the lower side. It's all coming back to me (same situation as my 2nd pregnancy). So hard not to stress!

Next appointment?
next Wednesday is just with the nurse. Then my first appt with the dr is at the end of the month. Also when I'll be getting my first ultrasound. The wait is awful!

rant/rave/positive:
just stressed. Happy to have minimal nausea so far (nausea started almost immediately after my BFP with my 2nd PG). Also grateful for this board!

GTKY: 2017 resolution:
didn't officially make one. Hoping to exercise more and be a better mom!

@ChelleCPA I'm going tomorrow and Saturday. I had sent her a message saying I was pregnant again and should I be waiting until 8+1 for my first appt and she said betas and progesterone for you!!! Boo haha I wanted to avoid blood work. I hate worrying over more things.

I know it's a pain and it can definitely cause an anxious wait but it's a good thing your doc is being proactive @Sugargirl1019. Or atleast that's one way you can look at it.

First off, let's all introduce ourselves! Hi there, I'm Amanda. I'm from Dallas, TX. My husband and I have been married 4 years, together 9. We have a 2 year old son, 2 dogs and 1 cat. I lost my son in August at 26 weeks. He had a rare chromosomal deletion that caused brain and heart defects. My husband is 35 and didn't want to wait too much longer to try for another child. We got pregnant our first month of trying this time.

How far along are you? 4 weeks, I'm due 9/14.

How are you doing? I'm ok. I feel like I'm holding back being really excited until we get to see the baby. They knew from our first sonogram with our son that something was wrong. I feel like I'll be holding my breath until then, but I don't want to worry this pregnancy. I feel like I know what the worst is that can happen. I want to enjoy every moment with this child and be hopeful and prayerful that he/she is ok and will join our family earthside!

When is your next appointment? first appointment is 2/2, then I'll start seeing my mfm at 12 weeks.

Is any one else having mini panic attacks going to the bathroom and hoping/praying there's no red/pink/brown on the tisssue paper? Every time I go it's like a 20 second slow motion situation every time I wipe my rear end, driving me nuts. Cannot wait to see that heart beat

I just called my Dr and requested that my progesterone be checked... it never was with my last pregnancy, and since I miscarried for unknown reasons I figure it wouldn't hurt to check this time.

I'm Steph! I live in Ontario, Canada with DH (married for 5 years, together for almost 12) and our amazing DS who is 2.5. Just found out we're expecting #2. I found out that I had a MMC at 12 weeks (baby had stopped growing between 8 and 9 weeks) in August. D&C followed. My due date would have been March 2.

How far along are you?
4 weeks

How are you doing?
I'm excited and trying not to be overly paranoid. I had no symptoms last time so when we went for the US I was totally blindsided. I'm scared that will happen again but I remember that with DS everything was smooth, so I have no reason to think this one won't be great.

When is your next appointment?
Hoping to call my family doctor today and get referred to an OB right away.

Happy to start the new year off with happy news! With my due date coming up in a couple months, I was really scared that I would melt down. I think being pregnant and focusing on this baby will help take the edge off the fact that my March baby isn't here.

GTKY: Did you set a resolution for 2017?
I got a FitBit for Christmas so I just want to hit my steps every day. Turns out going to the gym is the most efficient way to achieve that, so if that habit flows from this, even better. I like walking so I'm hoping when it warms up we can do that as a family more often.

Hcg 2285 for 5+0
Progesterone 13.1

I'm not going to do progesterone supplements.

Hcg looks good @Sugargirl1019.

I had my u/s today. Was measuring 2 days ahead at 5+6 and they saw a flickering heartbeat. Tech didn't think to mention that they saw a fetal pole or a heartbeat during the u/s, so I spent most of my day freaking out that there was something wrong. Even DH admitted that he was worried and that is very unlike him. Not impressed with the tech. Will be requesting that I don't have her again for my next one in 10-14 days.

@Hollygolightly87 the nurse that called this afternoon with the results of my u/s told me what I was measuring, what they are putting for a due date, and that the radiologist saw a heartbeat. They said it was too early to count a rate but that they saw movement was great.

Betas today at 5+3 are 1336 - totally happy! Saw a little polka dot of a ges sac. RE said we are not out of the woods but we are looking good and progressing. Next week they hope to see yolk sac, week after that, the heartbeat. Prayers, prayers, prayers!

Yay @PurpleRains! I'll probably follow you on the weeks GA because LMP I'm 5+3, but O date I'm 5+1 and we know how doctors are about O dates.....
