I totally wore my "slipper" shoes to work today because it's cold and they're comfy.
Also, I'm being forced to get my boss' receipts together for the year and his wife complains about it so I'm making it as annoying as possible for her. I'm seriously not in the mood for this today.
Sometimes when I'm feeling especially nervous or anxious about giving birth I think of people I know who have done it whom I don't reallt respect, think of as whiny, etc. It makes me think if they can do it, so can I. I realize it makes me a judgmental bish but I can live with that.

Oh man, I do the same thing. I tell myself, if the Kardashians can do it (and on camera nonetheless!), so can I!
+1 to that! I think of all the teenagers that have done it and it makes me feel better.
My FFFC is that I have DH tie my shoes. Could I? Sure. Do I want to? Nope. And if he's not home I wear shoes with no laces that are not seasonally appropriate in 30 degree weather (toms, sperrys, etc). Bending is hard.
This actually happened on Christmas, but one of DH's cousins (that I don't exactly care the most for) said she wanted to come visit DD while she was still at the hospital and my response was probably rather rude but I said "She will be home soon enough" lol and it's a huge deal for me to even be slightly rude haha #sorrynotsorry
My FFFC is that I have been a whiny brat lately. So many people, including all of you wonderful ladies, handle pregnancy with the utmost class and grace and I am not in any way one of those people. I told H it hurts to bend over to empty the dishwasher but that was a total lie. I was mad at him for drinking beer and feeling spiteful. He's so nice and I'm not. I suck.
My other FFFC is that there is a relatively simple work task I have been procrastinating for literally months, and I'm bribing myself to do it today by telling myself if I do I can buy a cloth diaper.
I'm taking a half day today, just because I'm feeling over it. I've got a slight chest cold coming on, and I'm too tired to deal. Also, because no one questions me because I'm pregnant.
I thought I was getting a UTI yesterday and mentioned it to my boss. Well I totally don't have one but I lied and said I thought I did so I could work from home today. And I don't feel bad about it.
I thought about telling my boss I wasn't feeling well this morning so I could work from home, but then I remembered she is out on vacation all week next week, so I will save that excuse for next Friday, when no one will care or notice anyway.
My office is a ghost town today. I came in to only three emails - usually I have at least two dozen from my team members on the east coast. We'll see how much gets done today.
@Xstatic3333 I love that a cloth diaper is a bribe to yourself. I mean, I would totally do the same thing, but that's such a pregnant lady bribe.
Sometimes I feel like I could be milking this whole pregnancy thing more when it comes to chores around the house. Because I've had a relatively easy time with it so far, I don't think H sees the need to pick up any slack. Maybe I need to start complaining more so I don't have to do stuff.
I've been sick all fucking month and last night H went to party with his friends and S didn't sleep at all and I'm too tired and over it to be patient to my family today.
My FFFC is that I could not dtd with H last night because I had so much gas. Even going slow and gently, I was so ridiculously uncomfortable from holding the gas in, I had to stop him and run to the bathroom to pee. I turn on the humidity fan in hopes he doesn't hear me kill the mood with my air horn-esque asshole, but he does. I walk out and he was in tears from laughter. They were just non-stinky loud air farts too. My stomach didn't feel bubbly or anything. And I just could not stop. I left to go to the bathroom three more times after that and they echoed, dude. I had never had gas like that before in my life. It was just pure meanness from my body.
Maybe this should've gone in the symptoms thread. Either way, third trimester gas kept me pure and chaste last night and I had my granny nightgown back on much quicker than I had originally anticipated. Boo.

Hahaha you're much more graceful than I am! I don't even try to hide it anymore. Poor DH.
My FFFC is I've already thrown out some of the Christmas presents from my mom this year. She means well but she keeps getting me knick knacks which I can't stand having little things that sit around and collect dust. She also gets cute ornaments for our tree and I don't like having that kind of ornament. Our tree growing up was always a bunch of mismatched ornaments that we collected over the years and I've always told her that as soon as I get my own tree I'm doing an elegant tree with fancy balls and stuff and that is what I did. Plus we just moved and my focus has been on unpacking so I just decided to toss the stuff I hate when I got home. We don't have the space to store it and even if we did I just don't want that stuff. I feel bad but I don't want the clutter.
The one thing I hate but haven't gotten rid of yet is the tree skirt she hand quilted us. It's very pretty but not my style at all. I know she put a lot of time into it but all of my decorations are green and silver and she made me a red and gold tree skirt... I have a green and silver skirt that I like already so I have no clue what to do with this one.

Lol, add me to the "no shame in my gas" train. My husband and I just did a last minute one night getaway at a lovely local hotel on the water. I farted in our massive glorious king-sized bed. I'm not even a little sorry. It was after we had sex, so eh. I figure, he farts in front of me all the time and we still have sex. Turn about is fair play.
Related: staying in a hotel at 38 weeks pregnant is awesome. I called housekeeping and got 4 extra pillows sent up. Luxurious down filled hotel pillows put my snoogle to shame in terms of pregnancy comfort.
+1 to never hiding farts. pre-pregnancy I was lactose intolerant. It is not worth running to the bathroom every time you gotta poot. Actually, I'm 80% sure I farted ON my husband on our 2nd or 3rd date (accidentally...)
I have another FFFC...pumping is a pain in the ass! I know it's what's best for DD and I will absolutely keep doing it for her, but I will be thankful when we can hopefully transition to just breast. And for all I know, she may not take the breast since she's used to a bottle, so I'm mentally prepared for that as well. Until she gets bigger I have to mix her breast milk with formula to make sure she's getting enough calories. Hoping her doc will let me do like an every other feeding when we go to her appointment next week.
@ColeBug89 my sister's daughter was in the NICU for 103 days, and she was completely bottle-fed at the beginning (well, after they took her g-tube out). Doctors eventually started having her try breastfeeding as well, and she took to it just fine. Now my sister does a mix of BF and bottles, simply because the baby isn't always hungry when she needs to empty her boobs, but transitioning wasn't a problem!
Exclusively pumping tips: * buy extra sets so you don't have to wash every time * stick parts in the fridge to reuse the next time around- the coldness often feels good too * make sure you have right size flanges- important for let down and should help with pain * can line flanges with some type of lube(lanolin, olive oil, etc) to decrease friction causing pain
I have had many successful transitions from the NICU to breastfeeding, but typically most successful aroundor after due date. Babies just tend to be stronger then to successfully nurse and gain weight well. Good luck @ColeBug89
Like PP I Also have no shame in my gas, although sometimes they even suprise me with their audibility. Luckily those surprises end up giving me and H a good laugh so all is well.
And yea I'm also milking this pregnancy a bit.. I generally am still a busy body around the house but somehow I always manage to hand off DS for his diaper changes when H is home. I blame it on the whole bending and picking him up for the changing table. Honestly it is getting more difficult but I've been milking this for the last few weeks with no intention of stopping. We have started potty training though so we shall see how that goes between now and DS2 arrival.
Late confession- Christmas threw up in our house. We have 5 trees up (varied from 18"-7ft), and I went al out in the dining room, foyer, even the guest bath. IN addition to the lights upside. My dear sweet husband doesnt know it yet but it will be his job to disassemble christmas tomorrow and Monday. To be fair I'm in super nesting mode and getting a ton of baby stuff done.

Adding to this, I'm disappointed we still haven't seen the pics of @BlondePeanut's new zebra themed bedroom!
