Rant: I was tossing and turning all night, ugh, so when my temp alarm went off I almost didn't even bother (7dpo, so of course hoping for the unicorn temp dip) but I did take my temp and it was .2-.4 degrees lower. Not under my baseline but close. And of course now I'm wondering if it should be even lower due to the upset sleep....here comes the BSC

Rave: I woke up to temperatures in the 60s! All day! To most people this would be exciting because it's a warm spell, but for us south Floridians it's fun because it's COLD and we get to wear sweaters and drink hot chocolate. Commence hunt for the one sweater I own.

GTKY: What has been your most awkward/funniest BD moment?

Had a funny discussion in a thread a couple days ago that inspired this GTKY

The other day DH was taking FOREVER so I attempted some porn-worthy moans and he totally called me out on it DURING lol. We both were cracking up while BD. Worked, though!

R/R: Yay for Fri and a long weekend, DH is off Monday!

Q/CS: I think I can safely say the progesterone is working for me! I haven't had a 12 day LP in years! Granted, the nurse said I likely won't get a period on progesterone anyway, so I guess I can give myself as long of an LP as I want? Kind of weird.

Did anyone else who has taken or is taking progesterone get a period while on it, or did you have to stop taking it to get a period?

GTKY: What has been your most awkward/funniest BD moment?
I feel like at this point every month is a comedy show bc we're so tired of the planned sex 2-3 days in that we just make jokes to lighten the mood!

I did get AF when I was on progesterone, two days before I was scheduled to go off of it

@bluejeanbabi05 I tested at 8, 9 and 10dpo, all BFN. Got tired of seeing them so I put away my thermometer and tests. But I want to drink without wondering tomorrow!

@travelingcouple yay! glad Progesterone is working for you!!!! How many short LP did you go through before you talked to your doc?

I'm still here. I slacked a bit the last few days but lurked on mobile when I could.

R/R: All of this holiday eating. Both a rant and a rave. Pretty ready to get home and back to our regularly scheduled programming!

Q/CS: Just AF doesn't start tomorrow so I get at least one day tacked on to my LP. Has anyone every had a one-off fluke of a short LP? Mine was 8 days last month and I have never had a problem before TTC, I was always 14 days, so I am wondering if it's possible it won't happen again? Since August, I've only had 2 ovulatory cycles, one with a short LP and this one currently. I had nonhormonal paraguard which really did number on my cycles post removal!

GTKY: What has been your most awkward/funniest BD moment? Literally the first time DH and ever DTD we were both nervous and started to do it and AF came for me during. It ruined everything and was super embarrassing. Thankfully we recovered our sex life after that first encounter and got married eventually!

@Flinstone I've had a short LP averaging 7-9 days since getting my post partum period back in Nov 2015, so over a year. I had discussed it with my OB a while ago but he didn't seem concerned (read: informed about what it means). It is possible to have a one off weird cycle so see what happens this month and take it from there!

Testing: probably the 5th (day before my new RE appt) just to be safe but I already know what it's going to say

R/R: not ready to head back to work for the weekend, especially as awful as it has been and as awful as its going to be since it's new years weeend. Ugh also, I have had the worst time sleeping lately on top of some f**ked up dreams.

So after about a year of us being together we still hadn't hit that stage where we farted in front of each other and during BD I was in an O moment and I farted.....twice....it was so embarrassing but we both kept going like it never happened and have never talked about it since. Lol

Yeah for me I had to end up at an RE, but not all OBs would be as remiss I don't think. Are you on your second month? Just see what happens this month, it's still early on in the trying game. I know it's easier said than done to wait and see. I suck at waiting and seeing.

@TravelingCouple yeah month two, we have been trying since August, but really we were BDing pointlessly as I was charting and realizing after I thought I might have O'd that I didn't. My cycles have been all over the map, so I started my count again at my first O-ing cycle! Thank you for the info!!

@bluejeanbabi05 My temps are higher when I sleep poorly, so maybe that was the dip after all. GL!

@Flinstone My gynecologist told me to give my LP 6 cycles off birth control to normalize, and to come back then to investigate it further. Apparently LP is specifically affected by birth control for some women. Mine was still only 8 days (up from 6 the first two cycles off BCP) though...

Timing: 0, -4, -5 (sigh)

Testing: BFN today because 7dpo was a good idea

R/R: Ugh, I had spotting last night (6dpo) which started triggering some BSC until I remembered that a couple cycles ago, I had 5dpo spotting and sure wasn't PG. So I found the solution to stopping the BSC: be TTC for so long that you experience every.single.symptom and know they mean nothing at all.

But, rave! I have acupuncture today so in a couple hours I will feel super zen.

CS/Q:

GTKY: We did some silent, sneaky BD at my parents' house this cycle and there was a lot of stopping and starting and giggling when the bed creaked.

Testing: FF says the 12th. That seems late to me.

R/R: There is no one in my office. So many people are gone. I love it. My boobs feel like they are filled with lava and it's trying to come out through my nipples. Don't love that. But the sore boobs and sore uterus and crazy dreams confirms that I did O, so I'll take it. Not crazy enough to even consider a BFP, but it's a small win in my book.

Q/CS: My temp is staying high. I don't have any questions for once.

GTKY: What has been your most awkward/funniest BD moment? The time DH told me "not to make this anymore awkward" because I kept talking to him and laughing while he was trying to concentrate. It's awkward. I'm glad when it's over.

@bluejeanbabi05 Cold is relative lol. You take what you can get.

@TravelingCouple I don't know about starting a period, but it makes logical sense that stopping could cause a withdrawal bleed, so I see your point.

@Flinstone Hopefully it's a fluke and you get back to your regularly scheduled programming there too.

@kaitlink33 Oh no! Your DH is so sweet for pretending not to notice. I've never done that but after BD DH will go into the bathroom and I'll hear him just letting huge crazy loud continuous farts rip. It makes me feel special that he holds them in for me. Hahaha

@adirat Sorry for BFN. You still have time I agree that symptoms mean nothing. I've learned that from this board. Acupuncture is great. I used to get it for anxiety. I'm thinking I'll go back to get some for my baby parts. I hope it improves your day! FX that BFN takes a turn!

R/R: I love a certain tea from Davids tea and I thought there wasn't one near me but I just found out that there is one right over the border in Canada! Next time DD is in daycare I think I'm going to take a little trip abroad and I'm excited. (She doesn't have a passport and DH has to log every trip across the border so he won't go.)

GTKY: What has been your most awkward/funniest BD moment? The first time I bled during the act was embarrassing but now it's our normal.

Well, apparently I had celebrated a little too hard, and in the middle of everything I had to run off so I could go throw up. Talk about killing the mood...

@adirat that just reminded me of one lol. Our first month TTC, when I was a naive little pup who genuinely believed I would be a 1/1, we visited my dad in PA and stayed on his boat (it's a roomy cabin cruiser) for 4 days during FW. My dad gave DH the wheel and went to sunbathe. I took a pos OPK and decided RIGHT THEN was the moment we needed to BD. I convinced DH to put boat in auto and dragged him belowdecks. Almost through and we feel a bump. I basically became a dominatrix and was like ITS OK FINISH. He did. We go upstairs and apparently the boat had bumped against a crab pot and my dad was yelling for DH and had to run to the wheel and course correct us. Whoops.

I have acupuncture today too btw

@soemthingclever yay for O! And that does seem late- do you have a really long LP? I'm on day 7, 12 day LP and FF says the 5th

@bluejeanbabi05 I think it's because 50 some odd day cycles from PCOS throw off my estimated cycle length in FF. I think it's averaging using my crazy long anovulatory cycles. If you're doing the 5th, I guess I'll do the 6th, since I'm 6 DPO.

ETA: have you tried metformin? It's been miraculous for me. I went from cycles that varied wildly from 24-45 days to exactly 29 days every month and lost 10 lbs

GTKY: What has been your most awkward/funniest BD moment? For one anniversary DH and I were staying at a hotel. We had gotten reasonably drunk, and I was determined to give DH some awesome head, complete with deep throating - even though it makes me gag hardcore. In my drunken haze I just kept ignoring my gag reflex ...until I threw up in DH's lap.

Long story short...we fell and ended up on the floor of the bathroom tangled in the shower curtain with water going everywhere. His roommates heard the thud of us falling and started banging on the door asking if we were ok. All we could do was laugh.

GTKY: What has been your most awkward/funniest BD moment? Only one I can think of is when I got a little buzzed a few years ago and decided that it would be a great time to try and be super sexy like in the movies. Ended with me tripping and falling on my discarded clothes. By that point I was so tired we called it a night and passed out. Not the greatest story but I am having a brain fart on anything else.

CD/DPO: 29/?? I am not sure anymore, I realized last night I forgot to enter a positive OPK on FF which completely changed O date.Though it makes more sense and is more consistent with my previous cycles now. New Years resolution to start temping consistently so I can reduce the not knowing stress

R/R:Rave: nothing I have to do this afternoon except a few household chores! Rant: Trying to negotiate a contract for some consulting work I am doing and the legalize is wayyyy over my head and it's stressing me out. It wasn't supposed to be this complicated...

Q/CS: Has anyone had BV while TTC? Does it impact ability to conceive? Gyn diagnosed me with YI and BV yesterday so I'm only multiple meds and she seems to think I am likely to continue to be plagued by both while we are TTC. This worries me.

GTKY: What has been your most awkward/funniest BD moment?

When DH and I were younger (much, much younger...we started dating when I was 17) we DTD in his truck and my knees got rug-burned (sp?) from the fabric on the side of the drivers door and started bleeding. We didn't realize it left a stain until his brother borrowed the truck the next day and asked about the stain on the door...oops.

R/R: Although I was not surprised by the BFN this morning, I was really upset by it. I think I'm getting to the point where I'm getting cynical about this whole process. I'm not looking forward to yet another month of taking my temperature at the ass crack of dawn, peeing on OPKs 3x per day and having scheduled sex for a week straight. I know I don't have much of a right to complain because I haven't been here nearly as long as some ladies have. But, you guys, all of this sucks.

Q/CS: --

GTKY: This past month, I bought a really cute pair of booties. Something about the way that they're shaped made me walk with the grace of a newly born foal and I must've tweaked one of my muscles. Later that night during BD'ing my entire left hamstring/butt started cramping and all I could do was shout "BUTT CRAMP! BUTT CRAMP!"
