I am a NICU nurse. After having my son at 30 weeks gestation in 2010, I decided to go back to college and get my nursing degree. I got my RN, BSN I have been working with sick babies ever since. I love my job but it will make my own pregnancy a bit harder since I am well aware of all the things that can go wrong.
@Peedy & @bumpybump I was finally able to find the company policy on it. I didn't want to ask since I'm not ready to announce it to anyone but family yet so it took some digging. My company actually groups maternity leave with short term disability which I was eligible for after 30 days. Since my EDD is only a month before my one year anniversary at work it's not a problem. And short term disability pays 2/3 of my current pay. Short term disability is for 6 weeks unless there are complications but I can use sick leave and vacation if I want to extend it. Or go with no pay.
I'm a chemical engineer. Currently I'm working as a project engineer for a chemical company. I manage a team of discipline engineers as well as construction, project controls, etc. to complete large projects. I love my job and will be coming back after mat leave!
Currently a SAHM. Quit my job in October. Before this, I worked as a Graphic Designer and currently do freelance. @SPurp13 that's exactly how I feel about it too.
Currently a SAHM. Before that I taught Middle School English! After being laid off twice in two years, I figured I was better off being at home with my son instead of trying to find another teaching job.
I am food safety laboratory manager for the GA Dept of Agriculture. I have a three year old girl ( Nov 2013)and a ten month old girl (Feb 2016). So this will be our third! Never imagined I would be in this club again....but after we had the second we decided we wanted another one
I'm the executive producer for a morning newscast. I'll be returning to work after LO is here. But I have concerns about our schedules. I go to work at 2am and DH works from 2:30pm to midnight. We also do not have a day off together. Hoping that changes at some point, but I know we'll figure it all out.
I taught 3rd grade for 2 years and got my Master's in reading at night. Took a year off when I had DS. Job-shared in kindergarten for 4 years and then quit to stay home full time and homeschool when I had DD2 in March 2015. Currently staying at home with my three, homeschooling my oldest two in kindergarten and pre-k. I was doing some private reading tutoring, but DH changed positions and made it more difficult to squeeze in.

I'm a social worker...been at my job for over a year, currently the Program Supervisor. State just called me for an interview...I'm 6 weeks and confused as to what to do. Not sure if this is a good time to transition jobs but State is super secure as far as thinking long term.
Client Manager with an influencer marketing startup. Found out we were expecting 5days before I started, so it's a bit nerve-wracking. I plan to go back after leave, but even their leave policy is still being Drafted.

@mrsashworth522 glad the policy will work out for you! I believe most companies have maternity related leaves under disability. Isn't it so nice to be considered disabled once becoming a mother

@bumpybump I'm glad it will work out too. I'm surprised that my office allows it after 30days but with a good company that's so family oriented I'm not too shocked I guess.
I'm a second grade lead teacher at a high performing charter school! I took off eight months when my twins were born but I don't think I'll have that luxury for baby number 3!
I am a Special Ed teacher at a rural "off roads system" school in a Yup'ik village in Western Alaska. I love it here and never want to leave. We also have a small "farmette" with goats, chickens, turkeys, and rabbits.
I'm a SAHM. I have my Bachelor's in Meteorology. I worked as a Physical Scientist for the Naval Oceanographic Office. I may go back to school for Meteorology once both of my children are in school. There are also so many other things I would love to do, so we will see

I'm a dance and fitness teacher. I teach evenings, mostly, at least 3 classes per day. I'm hoping to keep enough energy to continue teaching through the school year
I'm currently nothing. Before my son, I was a financial analyst, after he was born I became a sahm, and about a year ago I went back to school to become a nurse. I just finished up my last semester of prerequisites and will be applying to start the program in the spring of 2018. Currently spending my days picking away at my volunteer hours and trying to get a job within the health system for the benefits.
@taylormarie923 please don't discount yourself by saying you're "nothing." You are a mother and student from what I read which is so much more than "nothing."

lol I meant that for the first time in years I am quite literally doing nothing all day. Well, except driving my son to and from daycare. I'm eating it up while I can.
