@taylormarie923 please don't discount yourself by saying you're "nothing." You are a mother and student from what I read which is so much more than "nothing."
Thank you for saying that! @taylormarie923 you are a mom! That is everything! And on top of that, you are a student which is incredible! Good luck to you!
I am a PreK teacher, a lularoe independent fashion consultant and a painting with a twist art instructor. We planned on me being a WAHM starting this summer when schools out because I'll be homeschooling my 3 year old next year. And now with another, I'd definitely just be working my day job to pay daycare, so skip that. I will continue with lularoe and painting a couple night a week, because there is no time to enjoy that pleasure at home and being paid to do it helps me keep it up lol.
@dinofreak andplusalso I can't really give medical advice with a clear conscience. So most of my advice will be "call your doctor" and people don't like hearing that.
WAHM...except I'm a first time mom, so more like work-at-home-pregnant lady?
I left my job as an academic advisor at a major university (hello, stress) and now I'm a full time Beautycounter consultant and educator. Our mission is to get safer beauty and skin care into the hands of everyone, and with a master's in health education & behavior, that's something I'm proud to stand behind! (Beautycounter just did a 6-week partnership at Target so you might've seen the products there.)
@mborn24 fellow Beautycounter consultant here!!!! Love love love BC and our mission. Taking the job was the best decision!
I'm a primary teacher, primary 1 ( so kindergarten teacher for American folk). I'm sort of dreading going back on Monday after the holidays because I know I have been tired at home so I'm going to be exhausted after a day with 25 5year old.
My husband was unemployed for 2 years after a lay-off, so I was working full-time as a monitor tech/PCT in the ICU at my local hospital. I was also waiting tables on my days off, and I'm an AdvoCare distributor. Needless to say, I was busy and TIRED!
My husband got a great job in May, so I quit waiting tables, dropped to 1 day a week at the hospital, and now I work-from-home with my AdvoCare business!
I have been a stay at home mom for the last six years before that I was a mortgage closer. I'm in school right now for elementary ed..I have two years left.
I'm a fifth grade teacher in a suburban elementary school. August is not the ideal time to have a baby (DS was born in May), but I'm just happy to be pregnant again! I would take the year off from teaching , but we NEED my insurance (and it's phenomenal.) And since I'm due next school year, I definitely need it to cover the birth! I was hoping a job share would open up and I could work part time, but no such luck. I also teach fitness classes part time at my local YMCA.
I work production for Autoliv. I inspect the part of airbags that make them go off. As they are made I inspect them to ensure nothing is going to effect them working properly.
I'm an occupational therapist. I work a PRN schedule so I work for 4 different companies and make my own schedule/hours based on the help they need. So I usually work about 4-5 days a week, about 6 hour day. Makes it easier to manage my time with two young kids in daycare and Pre K. I work with adults in hospitals and rehab centers
There are so many cool jobs! I currently am a work from home SAHM. I work part time as a stylist for Stitch Fix and LOVE it. They are an incredible company and very much concerned about their employees. I even get maternity leave as a part-time employee. Before my son was born I was a nanny and while in college I worked as an office manager. I didn't ever really have a chance to start my career on account of the surprise pregnancy with my DS, but I wouldn't change anything! I love staying home with him and being his mama.
I am a registered nurse and educate first time mom's/parents who live under the poverty line about pregnancy, labor and delivery, and caring for a newborn! Hoping to go part-time after our LO gets here as this is our first baby!!
Gah! Everyone has such impressive jobs! How cool! I'm a pilot part time for a small regional airline. I'm lucky enough to have the flexibility of which days and how many days I work. I'm looking forward to being home with the baby, but still getting to fly a few days a month.
