ah I've been slacking on TB lately, sorry ladies! Thanks @kswiger06 @Xstatic3333 @gretchypoo @madamerwin @partyf6? and @yogadevil for the sympathetic rage! lol Yah, I did speak with our "HR" person, but we are a tiny company (less than 20 employees) and our "HR" is our bookkeeper who does double duty but really has no real authority or anything. Lots of conflict of interest happening in this company. TBH I'm probably looking elsewhere while on my puny maternity leave. It definitely did effect a lot of people, because basically everyone used up all the time they had before the end of the year. It's total BS. The "HR" girl is very sympathetic but unfortunately everyone has sort of just given the big ol' shrug when I bring this to them, saying there is nothing they can do.
The one upside is that the HR girl said she is requesting we be able to get a "lump sum" of the time we would have accrued between Jan 1- June 20 rather than just the couple of hours weekly it would be otherwise, which will be about 2 weeks, but that has to be approved by the board, so who knows.
