On Friday I finally graduated at my "goal degree" finally (I got 2 others on my way to this one). Then on Saturday, my mother, SIL, and I made cookies and split them among us. Soooo...holiday baking is DONE. Today I've tried to be extremely lazy, and have been semi successful.

Toddler gymnastics, packing to go see family, dropping off recycling, and an indoor kid's playplace was my weekend.

Oh BTW... my grandma got me an awesome moomoo /night gown with cats on it!
I haven't done any Christmas shopping so that's on my to do list on Thursday.
Not a bad weekend overall.
We had or family Christmas dinner on Friday since half the family is leaving for Mexico this Thursday. Then we got to spend yesterday stuck indoors due to icy weather and freezing temps. Cabin fever hit us today, after just one day

Dh and I went to see Straight No Chaser Saturday and then spent some time downtown Chicago eating and such. Today finished up the nursery closet organizer, washed and organized clothes and then binged Elementary while eating no-bake cookies for dinner. Somewhat productive yet lazy weekend. Was great!

We had a pretty low key weekend. It was insanely cold, so there was much snuggling and playing with DS. We did venture out to meet Santa for the first time. DS was very suspicious of the man and gave him some serious baby side-eye. It was amazing. He's definitely my kid.

@SWE2 how was the concert? I have some of their Christmas music in rotation on my phone.
This weekend was actually pretty good. It snowed a bunch on Friday night so we played in the snow Saturday and then DS tried hot chocolate for the first time and obviously loved it. While he napped I got crazy ambitious and make four batches of cookies and four batches of dough for a different kind of cookie as well as saltine toffees.
Sunday we did Christmas because we're flying to the East Coast to visit the in laws for actual Christmas and I didn't want to bring all the boxes my family sent for DS. It was SO fun watching DS open presents and then he was occupied for most of the morning playing with his new toys. Sunday night I did a lot more baking and got boxes of cookies together for co-workers. I wish I could say I'm done baking but I have a few more batches of cookies left.
Saturday, we braved an intense snowstorm for DS's swim class--we had to do something--sitting around all day in our PJs watching movies just doesn't work with a 2 year old and our car is good in the snow. The little guy played in the snow and helped daddy shovel, it was adorable. Sunday, we went to an indoor play place with another mom/toddler friend pre-nap. Post-nap, we went to a toddler indoor ropes course at this weird furniture store that also has a Bellagio-style water show AND an ice cream shop. So...basically a whole weekend revolving around entertaining the toddler. :-)
@CherryBananas They were amazing! I didn't know they didn't just sing Christmas songs. Was very funny and they did a lot of current songs which was great. It was our first time going and I will definitely be going again.
I took yesterday off and we went to the mountains for the day to play in the snow. There wasn't much but it was DS first time actually PLAYING in snow. We go every year for the day and he was only 4 months old last year so this year was totally different for him. It was fucking cold, but we survived.
Tonight we are having family dinner and walking around a certain neighborhood that is famous for their Christmas lights. Super excited...DS is super into lights right now!!
