Retrieval went well....beforehand my RE asked how many I was hoping for and I told him 15. Afterwards, he admitted that he thought 15 would be a stretch ...but he was pleased to announce that we got 19! Obviously they won't all be mature but since we are doing a freeze-all, cycle I wanted to have a good supply to work with.
Right now I'm just cramping and it's tolerable. I have to go to work tomorrow so while I hope I feel better, it won't matter cuz I gotta go to work anyway!

AFM: My egg retrieval went well. They got all 10. I get my report tomorrow morning. Were doing a fresh transfer, so in another week I'm back to the surgery center again! I was bummed to only have 10, my friend told me, "It only takes one to have a baby"...so I'm taking on that attitude.

@junelaguirre Your friend is absolutely right, it only takes one!! Try and stay positive. Hopefully you have a great fertilization report My last cycle it was a mandatory freeze all because I hyperstimulated. This cycle to avoid hyperstimulation they changed my trigger to Lupron and I was told that with a Lupron trigger your body doesn't get the much needed extra estrogen kick so we had to do another freeze all. I have been told though that a Fresh Transfer and Frozen Transfer have about the same success. The only down fall is you have to make it through the thaw.

I about flipped when my doctors office sent me to this compounding pharmacy who does these special progesterone lozenges. Yuck...and at $3.47 per lozenge, I'm going to ask if we need to continue. I feel like I can get the Progesterone another way. This is too fancy for me...and expensive.
@junelaguirre good luck with retrieval tomorrow!!! Never had the lozenges but I would probably prefer that over the PIO IM injections. And my PIO comes out to about to about $7-8 per injection.
TTC for 8 years. Started in 2008 with timed intercourse, ovulation testing, no official monitoring. OB-GYN recommended Clomid and timed intercourse, attempted for 6 straight months. First surgery June 2009 (OB-GYN): diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and large hydrosalpinx on right tube. Second surgery (July 2009, RE performed this): Right tube had to be removed, lots of adhesions removed. Attempted "trying on our own" as per RE recommendations, unsuccessful 5-6 months. HSG performed December 2009: left tube open. February 2010: started Femara and timed intercourse, attempted 6 months, no BFPs. Took a break for a while. January 2011: started IUI process, ovaries never properly responded to medications, 6 failed attempts, never actually completed an IUI. Took 2012-2014 off due to depression and frustration (side note: did complete grad school to become a nurse practitioner- great distraction). 2015: started seeing RE again, went through tons of testing and HSG, left tube now blocked, only option is IVF. September 2015: Started first official IVF cycle, cancelled in October due to large cyst on left ovary. October 2015: started on birth control for 2 months. December 2015: attempted to start another IVF cycle, cysts on both ovaries on initial ultrasound, left was huge, cancelled to aspirated cyst. January 2016: Cyst back, surgery for ex-lap, cyst and adhesions removed. March 2016: Attempted second IVF cycle, estrogen way too high, cyst back, cancelled again. April 2016: Third attempted IVF cycle, 7 eggs retrieved, 2 mature (but not great) embryos made to fresh transfer, neither implanted. May-Sept 2016: Break to regain sanity. Sept-Oct 2016: Attempted fourth IVF cycle, very successful, cyst still on left but we ignored. 7 mature "great looking" eggs retrieved, 4 mature embryos made it to day 5 transfer. Transfer aborted due to large amount of endometriosis fluid in uterus. FET of 2 embryos completed on 12/12/16. 12/22/16 1st Beta 179 BFP!!! 12/24/16 2nd Beta 449!! EDD 8/30/17 with two girls!!!!!

AFM: I got my final fertilization report today. I was having sort of a mini meltdown yesterday when I got my first Day 5 update. My coordinator called around 2:30 and told me that out of the 8 only one had frozen so far, Of course my heart stopped for a few beats. She told me there we a few more that we still being watched and were hoping to freeze either yesterday or today. I fought to try and stay positive the rest of the day, reminding myself it only takes one. Today I got a call with better news. She told me that we had 3 more frozen Day 5 and 1 frozen Day 6. I was able to get my ratings : 1 4bb, 2 3bb, and 2 3ab. I hope these frosties stay strong and fight to make it through thaw. I'm still terrified after my last FET. But no transfer until FEB so I will continue to lurk and cheer you ladies on until then!!

Soooo the big day is THURSDAY!!!!! The genetic testing showed that out of 20 retrieved, 10 fertalized, 8 were genetically A.OK. What a relief.
My lining was 6.8 at my last check up. Every other day endometrin, and 1cc of progesterone oil injection, on top of vaginally insert estrace 1x day, 3 orally.
They said my levels are perfect.
Please pray for us that lucky number 4 is going ti be the LAST.TIME.

@junelaguirre I hope things go smooth today with transfer! Are you transferring one of two? As for PIO I have only used that for progesterone but you do inject daily usually until about the 10 week mark. I have never made it that far though.

AFM: Implantation was on Wednesday. After DAY 5, we only had 5 blastocysts. All 5 were girls BUT only one was genetically normal.. so we implanted the one baby girl. So excited and feeling blessed we have one.
Had accupuncture yesterday and will have it again tomorrow.

@junelaguirre FX'd for you!!! Do you think you'll POAS beforehand? I know some places recommend not testing before the beta....I don't know if I have the willpower. How did you get the genetic results so quickly?!
@rainbowwishes5 I'm so sorry you're feeling like this! It's definitely an emotional journey and the hormones we have to inject ourselves with don't help at all. The day before my retrieval, I also did not have an ultrasound so I don't think it matters. Good luck tomorrow!
In other news... I was on call last night and it kicked my butt I'm so happy to have a 4 day weekend. In Jan I have a week of vacation and we're not going anywhere special but I really need some time away from my job. Overall I really do like where I am but some of the politics can start to get to you after a while.

@SwtAnana, the reproductive center has a local lab that does the genetic testing. ( live in LA) I was confused...I thought the eggs had to go to New Jersey initially.
I don't want to POAS...I feel like it will give me either positive or negative news that may interfere with my stress free, happy zone I'm trying to be in. I've been watching I love Lucy, saw the movie, Trolls, and other funny things.
I'm glad that you get time off work! The additional work stress definitely can't help this process.

January 2016: Cyst back, surgery for ex-lap, cyst and adhesions removed. March 2016: Attempted second IVF cycle, estrogen way too high, cyst back, cancelled again. April 2016: Third attempted IVF cycle, 7 eggs retrieved, 2 mature (but not great) embryos made to fresh transfer, neither implanted. May-Sept 2016: Break to regain sanity. Retrieval went well....beforehand my RE asked how many I was hoping for and I told him 15. Afterwards, he admitted that he thought 15 would be a stretch
...but he was pleased to announce that we got 19! Obviously they won't all be mature but since we are doing a freeze-all, cycle I wanted to have a good supply to work with.
Right now I'm just cramping and it's tolerable. I have to go to work tomorrow so while I hope I feel better, it won't matter cuz I gotta go to work anyway!

AFM: My egg retrieval went well. They got all 10. I get my report tomorrow morning. Were doing a fresh transfer, so in another week I'm back to the surgery center again! I was bummed to only have 10, my friend told me, "It only takes one to have a baby"...so I'm taking on that attitude.
Are you doing a frozen cycle? Is that the new thing and are there higer chances with frozen? I'm a newbie...
I have been told though that a Fresh Transfer and Frozen Transfer have about the same success. The only down fall is you have to make it through the thaw.

I about flipped when my doctors office sent me to this compounding pharmacy who does these special progesterone lozenges. Yuck...and at $3.47 per lozenge, I'm going to ask if we need to continue. I feel like I can get the Progesterone another way. This is too fancy for me...and expensive.
Anyone else's doctor's office make them do that?

January 2011: started IUI process, ovaries never properly responded to medications, 6 failed attempts, never actually completed an IUI.

2015: started seeing RE again, went through tons of testing and HSG, left tube now blocked, only option is IVF.

AFM: I got my final fertilization report today. I was having sort of a mini meltdown yesterday when I got my first Day 5 update. My coordinator called around 2:30 and told me that out of the 8 only one had frozen so far, Of course my heart stopped for a few beats. She told me there we a few more that we still being watched and were hoping to freeze either yesterday or today. I fought to try and stay positive the rest of the day, reminding myself it only takes one. Today I got a call with better news. She told me that we had 3 more frozen Day 5 and 1 frozen Day 6. I was able to get my ratings : 1 4bb, 2 3bb, and 2 3ab. I hope these frosties stay strong and fight to make it through thaw. I'm still terrified after my last FET. But no transfer until FEB so I will continue to lurk and cheer you ladies on until then!!

Soooo the big day is THURSDAY!!!!! The genetic testing showed that out of 20 retrieved, 10 fertalized, 8 were genetically A.OK. What a relief.
My lining was 6.8 at my last check up. Every other day endometrin, and 1cc of progesterone oil injection, on top of vaginally insert estrace 1x day, 3 orally.
They said my levels are perfect.
Please pray for us that lucky number 4 is going ti be the LAST.TIME.

@junelaguirre I hope things go smooth today with transfer! Are you transferring one of two? As for PIO I have only used that for progesterone but you do inject daily usually until about the 10 week mark. I have never made it that far though.

AFM: Implantation was on Wednesday. After DAY 5, we only had 5 blastocysts. All 5 were girls BUT only one was genetically normal.. so we implanted the one baby girl. So excited and feeling blessed we have one.
Had accupuncture yesterday and will have it again tomorrow.

I don't want to POAS...I feel like it will give me either positive or negative news that may interfere with my stress free, happy zone I'm trying to be in. I've been watching I love Lucy, saw the movie, Trolls, and other funny things.
I'm glad that you get time off work! The additional work stress definitely can't help this process.

TTC for 8 years.
Started in 2008 with timed intercourse, ovulation testing, no official monitoring.
OB-GYN recommended Clomid and timed intercourse, attempted for 6 straight months.
First surgery June 2009 (OB-GYN): diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis and large hydrosalpinx on right tube.
Second surgery (July 2009, RE performed this): Right tube had to be removed, lots of adhesions removed.
Attempted "trying on our own" as per RE recommendations, unsuccessful 5-6 months.
HSG performed December 2009: left tube open.
February 2010: started Femara and timed intercourse, attempted 6 months, no BFPs.
Took a break for a while.
January 2011: started IUI process, ovaries never properly responded to medications, 6 failed attempts, never actually completed an IUI.
Took 2012-2014 off due to depression and frustration (side note: did complete grad school to become a nurse practitioner- great distraction).
2015: started seeing RE again, went through tons of testing and HSG, left tube now blocked, only option is IVF.
September 2015: Started first official IVF cycle, cancelled in October due to large cyst on left ovary.
October 2015: started on birth control for 2 months.
December 2015: attempted to start another IVF cycle, cysts on both ovaries on initial ultrasound, left was huge, cancelled to aspirated cyst.
January 2016: Cyst back, surgery for ex-lap, cyst and adhesions removed.
March 2016: Attempted second IVF cycle, estrogen way too high, cyst back, cancelled again.
April 2016: Third attempted IVF cycle, 7 eggs retrieved, 2 mature (but not great) embryos made to fresh transfer, neither implanted.
May-Sept 2016: Break to regain sanity.
Sept-Oct 2016: Attempted fourth IVF cycle, very successful, cyst still on left but we ignored. 7 mature "great looking" eggs retrieved, 4 mature embryos made it to day 5 transfer. Transfer aborted due to large amount of endometriosis fluid in uterus.
FET of 2 embryos completed on 12/12/16.
12/22/16 1st Beta 179 BFP!!!
12/24/16 2nd Beta 449!!
EDD 8/30/17 with two girls!!!!!
Audrey (4lb 8oz) and Olivia (6lb 6oz) born 8/10/17!!
