WTF Wednesday

Re: WTF Wednesday

  • @Jendink omg seriously.  i can't eat any dry foods like chips or crackers because breathing through my mouth causes me to in hale the food and choke!!!  DRIVING ME NUTS!!!

@Assiram42 doc prescribed me 400 Mg to take twice a day because of my hypertension and i am STILL getting headaches.  they aren't terrible, but i'm a chronic migraine sufferer so regular headaches are nothing compared to those bitches! lol.... also just got the post about your dad.  I'm so sorry.  Hoping he gets the treatment he needs and this it works out!

  • For headaches, I've found essential oils to be very helpful...of course talk with your Dr., but oils can be a wonderful, natural preventative and also help mitigate active headaches as well. I diffuse oils whenever I'm at home, and always have a few of my faves with me everywhere I go to apply topically whenever I feel an ache starting.

I've said it a million times, but I'll say it again...magnesium for headaches is a lifesaver, it literally has rid me of the dreaded second tri headaches. (Disclaimer: as always, speak to your doctor before taking anything.)
Do you use any particular formulation of magnesium for headaches? Chelated? mag/oxide?  I was taking it already (chelated) and with my calcium/zing/mag supp - doc suggested not overdoing it, but wondering if it has protected me from headaches as of yet.  Also helps with being regular :)

  • @sparrow, I just take a regular, stand alone magnesium pill.  I don't think it's chelated. It's the Nature Made, 500 mg. Stay away from magnesium sulfate.
  • WTF dd who won't sleep in the car ever. We drove 7 hours today to have early Christmas with dh's family, and she was awake the entire day. So of course she was super overtired and crabby. This girl normally takes two 2 hour naps every day. I thought babies were supposed to go to sleep easily in the car. My friends and siblings all have to work to keep their kids awake in the car when it isn't naptime. Nope. She's been like this since day one. She's a champ sleeping in her crib but will NOT sleep anywhere else. Weird kid.
My son will never sleep in the car. He only screams and when he gets tired of that he screams louder. It's horrible.
  • @ellie111227, DD1 has never been an easy car sleeper. But she was also 3 before she really slept at all, she wasn't exclusively a shitty sleeper in the car.

lol so speaking of which... I asked my OB today if she would recommend mag. Supplements for the headaches and her immediate response with a smirk was "yeah, and it'll make you poop!" Sorry I found it funny  :p
she also recommended daily Claritin, even though the headaches aren't allergy based... apparently it helps to lessen them.

  • Wtf bumpadmin? Why are they closing threads that aren't violating anything? This is annoying and I'm really confused. Am I missing the violation somewhere?

  • @devow27 I guess me asking and someone responding what the TOU violation was in the first closed thread is what made then close the other post.  We didn't create a thread specifically about the TOU violation but those 2 posts/threads were essentially about the same thing and people were getting frustrated with OP in both... so I guess it makes sense if they wanted to squash it all...
  • The closing of threads and removing 'TOU' violations is what prompted some of the mass exodus back in the day.

I should of SS, but @JessErinF, as much as I don't want to stick up for her, didn't really violate TOU, IMO.
  • Did the delete the 'boy mom' post?
  • @Assiram42 it looks like it is gone... which means if not the OP, someone else will probably start a similar sex disappointment post and this will just happen all over again...
  • How was that post in violation of anything??
  • @Wearmi1 she called us (I say us because we are all a group here and she generalized to the group) a name and was pretty ugly in her GBCB post.
  • What??? I'm mad I missed it.  Well good riddance then!
  • Nah, it was lame. Not creative and I've been called worse. 1/10 on the "leaving in a blaze of glory" meter.
  • Oh my looks like I missed a lot being gone for work for 14 hours today. I love GBCB posts.
  • I missed all of it! I would see the names of the posts but the topic didn't intrigue me enough to click on them! I checked out the rant one though.
