@adirat oh my god, I would kill DH if he did that. I did hear a funny thing on the ladygang podcast today that this couple orders hibachi every weekend and then has "fat sex" and fights for the bottom position. It made me laugh so hard. I'll take "fat sex" over no sex! @jes0211 ha! one of my friends husbands is in med school and confidently told me that you can get pregnant "any day of the month" and I said no... we fought about it for about 30 min before I just said GOOGLE IT. He apologized later for being wrong. @linzrunz have fun on date night!! @Sailing_Mama sometimes I get a temp drop 1-3 days before O. Other than that, I'm not too sure either. Or he's fat and happy at chic-fil-a or steak and shake
Ok, update on u/s results. My dr said it was completely normal! Of course I'm relieved, but at the same time in concerned because I'm not sure how "normal" it is to bleed for 9-11 days each month (that includes 3-4 days of spotting before, AF for 3-4, and then another 2-3 of spotting at the end). I messaged her back about this. It could be caused by stressing during the TWW, but I don't feel like I was stressed last cycle because I wasn't temping.

@Sailing_Mama I know my H said that she should just be happy she was able to get pregnant. Sometimes his compassion amazes me. But with any luck we make it through the holidays without an ordeal.
WAYDTGKU: All the things. And to @LuND, my husband is on fertileaid for men. The first month we tried, we got KU, but it resulted in a MMC. Second month of trying was not successful. On to third try now.
R/R: Rave: we have a new couch! I'm sitting on it and it's so amazing. Old couch was from Craigslist and was over 8 years old. This one is so much more comfortable.
CS/Q: Question for those that were on BCP for a long time: overtime, did your O date get earlier? My first month off the pill (after 14 + years), my O date was CD24. After MMC and D&C, my HCG took its sweet time falling, and my O date was CD33. I know it's impossible to know what to expect, and of course, I'm using OPKs and watching fertile signs; just curious for others that were on BCP for a long time: how O has changed (or not) over the months?
GTKY: What was the last movie you watched? Did you like it?
I watched a documentary on Amanda Knox on Netflix. Interesting but didn't tell me much I didn't already know from reading about her case.

@Flinstone Interesting - I have heard about the temp dip prior to O. Mine seems to occur (at least this cycle and last - the vag temp ones) to be in the few days post AF. At least it's at a point where it doesn't really affect anything as far as messing up CH or such!
WAYDTGKU: PNV, DHA/EPA, vit D, ubiquinol, maca (and putting some in H's smoothie), BBT, cm/cp, opk, BD EOD

I really like how it is now; it was still cluttered from the move in June...BUT. I managed to injure my ribs again This time on my right side under my shoulder blade mostly and wrapping around to under my right boob, so it's affecting a lot because I'm right handed, of course. Then again, it also hurts to take a deep breath, cough, move Connective tissue disorder SUCKS!
CS/Q: Positive OPK this morning!!! So I will be BD'ing through the pain later lol
GTKY: What was the last movie you watched? Did you like it? We got partway through Snowden...H was falling asleep. I was enjoying it (uhhh JGL, Duhhhh), but it is quite long and a bit slow I will say the best movie I've watched recently was Pete's Dragon! I definitely cried even before the opening credits but it was truly a beautiful movie
@mrsegan13 Yes, when I stopped BCP, I o'd on cd20 the first cycle, then cd17 for a couple cycles, and now cd15 for the last three cycles. My doctor told me it isn't uncommon to see it decrease over time but it should normalize in 3-6 months. Not sure how a MC plays into that, though.
@Sailing_mama Is it bad that the first thing I thought is, "What could cause a really cold vagina?" I don't actually have an answer.
@BertieMeetsGertie Well, normal is good! To be honest, hormonal is better than structural. Are you getting any bloodwork done?
@jillibean0871 Welcome, and let me add my eye rolling to the others here. Never until I started ttc did I realize how craaaaazy people can be with selfishness.
@adirat Haha oh trust me, that thought crossed my mind too. I even started warming up the thermometer in my hands a bit so that it wouldn't 'cool me down?'
@adirat Thank you for the warm welcome. People are just crazy. I'll be sure to keep it a big secret from them if I do get KU so that I don't have to deal in their drama!
Interesting question. I was on BC for 14 years (mostly Mirena IUD). My first cycle off BC, I O'd on CD 13. This cycle, I think I will O on either CD 12 or 13, but not sure yet. I also just had an MC/CP, so not sure if that will influence my O date.

@LuND@ColoradoHiker and @FLAshley thanks guys the dentist didn't take long but my mouth hurts SO bad now. I think my dog can tell because he is all over me like to the point hes laying on me and I'm sweating when it's like 10 degrees outside and I can't get him off me lol.
Just wanted to add in an additional rave for my H after all the ranting I've done lately: I was kind of down and saying something about my U-comfort pillow because I put it on the guest bed and I said, "Plus, I'll need it back if I ever get pregnant", and he grabbed me and said "WHEN you get pregnant, baby, WHEN" and hugged me It was so sweet because months ago when we were first trying or discussing it I would correct him if he said "IF" so it was a nice way of him showing he's in this Also, he's a forestry engineer so the snow has put a damper on work so he's basically done for the year but can do some work with his other brother in Vancouver. I told him I'd need him on certain days and he thought I meant for a ride and I said "no, for your genitals" And he was also on board with that and told his brother he needed to be home until Tuesday (I have my OB appointment Tuesday). So things are looking up!
@jess0211 so frustrating when everything doesn't line up (body symptoms/opks/bbt)! Hopefully things become clearer and definitely keep HIO! Also, I ONLY gif on my phone but am hoping someone else will explain how because the brain fog is strong today due to pain :P
@Flinstone so sorry about the fight with your H! I don't understand why they can't understand it! We're probably some of the most educated women about ovulating and our reproductive system thanks to this page and science and yet we still can't KNOW when we're going to O for sure...it just doesn't work that way! Like I said I needed H until Sunday, at least, but with a positive opk today, I might not even need him on the weekend at all lol More women would have babies on command if we knew exactly when we were O'ing, but there would also be a lot less unwanted/unplanned pregnancies!
@BertieMeetsGertie we LOVE watching all the golden glob/oscar nominations before the awards shows!!!
@adirat Ate too much cheese???!!! That's a new one *insert major eyeroll here* lol I'm going to be BD'ing with injured ribs. Seriously, what is wrong with men? lol
@FLAshley I've also read/heard that -1 is better than 0 and I see a lot of grads hitting -1 so I always am happy if it works out that way and actually get a little bummed if I hit 0 and not -1
@LadyMeowMeow plus 1 to cranking up the heat! Because I'm not feeling so awesome today my H said he wouldn't bother with a fire (since it means more bending over to put wood in and overall more work for me) so I have the space heater on AND turned the furnace up a teensy bit...teehee! So far my hands are actually still freezing tho lol (it's "only -3C/27F" but takes me a bit to warm up, especially if I'm just resting)
@laurad75 I think I'm getting a fitbit for christmas, too! I would also be annoyed at losing data, just like I get annoyed when I forget to turn off or on "mapmyrun" when I go for walks/hikes lol I can't wait for the fitbit and more DATA to analyze for no real reason other than I love it Oh, and for the vibrate alarm on my wrist for temping...Since I started temping again this cycle the Sleep Cycle app SAYS it's set to vibrate only but it's definitely been waking me with sound Might have to uninstall/reinstall or something!
@LUnd oh no oh noooo I did not see yesterday that your H's SA was not good I'm soooo sorry. Especially because of the smoking thing. (I'm actually even more nervous for my H's results now ) I wish the doctors could tell you more about whether it might actually be unsafe or if it would just be more difficult to get KU. Three months seems like so long when you've already been trying for half a year I wish I had some more comforting words but I'm sending a big internet hug. It IS good that he seems more committed to a healthy lifestyle now, but still ultimately really blows
Also just wanted to say a huge thank you and I value all of you and want so badly to see your BFPs, too!!! When I took my Bump break I still came in to check the grad thread. Big FX for everyone here!!! Now I'm off to make some bacon peanut brittle....and mayyyybe some gf cookies if I'm feeling up to it! I REALLY want to go to the mail box to see if the code for H's online account has arrived so I can see if his SA results are up but it's a 7km walk and I'm not sure I'm up for it and not sure I can get the Jeep out of the driveway to drive instead of walking Plus H said he doesn't even know if the mail gets delivered daily up here....whaaaa?!
@virginaham FX you show some good follies at your scan tomorrow. /hugs

GTKY: What was the last movie you watched? Did you like it? Last movie we watched was "Remember". It is about an elderly Holocaust survivor with dementia who sets out to kill a Nazi war criminal. It was SO GOOD.
@jmn1985 they didn't give me stats or info on the impact smoking cessation could have, but the research I've done suggests that smoking can decrease sperm count/morphology/motility by about 20%. So, theoretically, quitting smoking COULD improve things by 20%. We may just have to go see my OB together to get all of our questions answered.
Update: I get the twatwaffle award of the day because I walked all the way to the mailbox but forgot the key That's a round trip of 7km in H's hikers that ended up hurting my Achilles and with sore ribs for nothing but my own health HA! I'm such a dork....
@jmn1985 they will take a lot of blood for baseline blood work. they will also want to do an ultrasound, warning this will be transvaginal (which seems weird the first time but if you have to do IF treatments you get use to it), they will still do the exam if AF is present, it was awkward the first time but again they are used to it and its NBD. From there and DH SA they may likely recommend an HSG which can pick up blocked tubes or fibroids which can be missed on a baseline US. When is your work-up?

@jillibean0871 She sounds like a real winner. Wow. How do people not realize how completely bsc they sound when they say this kind of stuff?
@linzrunz Have a good time on your date! I've done the paint and wine thing a couple of times and it's always been fun. Important life lesson - put your wine on one side of the easel and your water cup on the other...
@LadyMeowMeow I assume it is - but there's this super cute locally owned theater in our town that gets just a couple of movies, and usually well after they've come out, so at this point I'm thinking I'll just wait and catch it there. @laurad75 good to know! I've heard mostly good things about it so far.
@LuND I have not tried FertileAid or FH Pro, but opted to sort of replicate the idea behind them via individual supplements (which were cheaper). When we found out a few weeks ago, @antoto posted some really great links to different options. It was sometime in the few days after 11/23. When I get home tonight I'll dig through my posts and try to find it to link.
@mrsegan13 - I was on extended cycle bc for about 9 years. My cycles were long coming off of them, and I'd have random short cycles tossed in. Even as much as 10 months after they were still wacky (like a 40 day cycle followed by a 26 and then a 41). They've regulated some and now usually float in the 30's range... But, then again, it's been almost 2 years since I stopped taking bc and for the past year I've been taking vitamins and what not so that could be playing a role.
@jmn1985 I think @wabash15 covered what typically happens. There's also a thread (Fertility Testing Q&A I think) from a few weeks ago that has a lot of good info in it as well.
Edit: auto-correct changed bc to 22nd... I really should turn this off.
@wabash15 Thanks for the info! I hate giving blood....so that will be fun. *TW* I've had a few transvaginal ultrasounds already, but for different things (ruptured ovarian cyst in June and then twice for the MMC). I agree, they are strange. No appointment scheduled just yet. I hit the 1 year mark as of Monday, so it is time to call.
My got a positive OPK tonight so FF has me ovulating tomorrow! So glad I listened to you ladies and HIO when I saw the EWCM without a positive OPK. This will be early for me to O (CD14 today, so O on CD 15) compared to my cycles the last few months, but I guess that's ok? And on the upside we won't have to try to HIO while visiting family next week. Phew. I'll see you ladies in TWW soon!
I'm always late to the party. I'm sorry guys. I bill for every minute of my time at work, so I can't bump at work except scrolling through on mobile (which is hard to use). I do read your posts. Sorry I can't always do more!
I thought my OPKs were reasonably dark too...then I realized that I've been holding them in 5 seconds instead of 3 seconds (the directions say 3 seconds for OPK...5 seconds is for the HPT) UGH.

edited bc broken gif?
@Sailing_mama Is it bad that the first thing I thought is, "What could cause a really cold vagina?" I don't actually have an answer.
@BertieMeetsGertie Well, normal is good! To be honest, hormonal is better than structural. Are you getting any bloodwork done?
@jillibean0871 Welcome, and let me add my eye rolling to the others here. Never until I started ttc did I realize how craaaaazy people can be with selfishness.
TW: Loss Mentioned
Interesting question. I was on BC for 14 years (mostly Mirena IUD). My first cycle off BC, I O'd on CD 13. This cycle, I think I will O on either CD 12 or 13, but not sure yet. I also just had an MC/CP, so not sure if that will influence my O date.
Month/Cycle: 1/1 after ttc break
CD: 1....I posted in tww this morning after I got off work since I didn't know when af would show, but I woke up and here I am
WAYDTGKU: hio eod with preseed, cm, just started temping again today so we'll see how that goes, I've seen some of you ladies using pineapple core and green tea. So how does the pineapple core work and are you just drinking gr tea or?
R/R: no rants except not liking this cold weather. Two small raves though, I'm off tonight so thank goodness for that and I'm actually pretty excited about af showing up so I can try again this month, which is a lot better of an approach than I used to have.
CS/Q: nope
I think it was Deadpool and yea we love it. It was actually the 2nd time we watched it. Lol

Bodies are weird.
@JulesDP YAYYYY EWCM!!!!
I would also be annoyed at losing data, just like I get annoyed when I forget to turn off or on "mapmyrun" when I go for walks/hikes lol I can't wait for the fitbit and more DATA to analyze for no real reason other than I love it
@LUnd oh no oh noooo
I REALLY want to go to the mail box to see if the code for H's online account has arrived so I can see if his SA results are up but it's a 7km walk and I'm not sure I'm up for it and not sure I can get the Jeep out of the driveway to drive instead of walking
@virginaham FX you show some good follies at your scan tomorrow.
/hugs
@linzrunz Good luck at your psych appt and other appt today! I hope you get to talk about progesterone concerns like you wanted.
Month/Cycle: 10 months / 3 cycles TTCAL

R/R: We are going to see christmas lights tonight with a couple from our small group! it's going to be cold, and it's walking around outside with hot chocolate and kettle corn!!
CS/Q: I have blazing positive OPKS now since yesterday afternoon!!! it's beautiful, and a week early!!! I'm so glad I'm not CD 24!!!
DH and I went to see Storks at the dollar theatre recently! I LOVED it!! So so funny. I laughed like I haven't laughed in a long time! The wolf pack is my absolute fav. Wolf pack! Form a.. submarine!!
If any of you have been hesitant to see Storks because of TTC pain, I still recommend it. Yes, I cried at times because it was sweet and they finally got their baby they had waited 20 yrs for, but still I recommend it.

@Flinstone @FLAshley I agree about the reading between the lines. I've found that a week and a half long calendar invite for "pound town" gets the point across.
@rainbowturtles Your husbands response was so sweet! Sounds like a good guy
@LuND I'm sorry to hear about DH SA. Did they sound hopeful about quitting smoking having a positive effect?
Month/Cycle: 13/ 2nd TTCAL

WAYDTGKU: preseed, HIO EOD, PNVs, OPKs, attempting to temp....
R/R: I cannot for the life of me remember to temp.
CS/Q: Does anyone have any insight into what will happen when DH and I go in for "testing"? I'm assuming the SA is typical.... what about for me?

@zwink1 Thanks! I'll look for that post.

@FLAshley ugh I am dreading the snow next week. We are going "home" to visit our families and they have tons of snow!
@jmn1985 I am so bad about remembering to temp as well. I usually remember as I am standing in the shower about ten minutes after getting up.
@LuND I'm impressed with your positivity.
I hope you see improvement soon! @jess021 glad you got BD in!
@Sugargirl1019 blazing positive OPK lol

I thought my OPKs were reasonably dark too...then I realized that I've been holding them in 5 seconds instead of 3 seconds (the directions say 3 seconds for OPK...5 seconds is for the HPT) UGH.

1. For the past week, I thought your username was megan (completely missed the "rs")
2. Do you think the extra 2 seconds make a big difference? Just curious.
