I had a really good one the other day, now I can't remember...
I had several really weird dreams last night. But the weirdest one was I dreamed I delivered baby girl on December 1st. That was yesterday lol. And in my dream I was walking all around this big hospital that seemed more like a YMCA and I went to band practice and played my horn shortly after delivery. What in the world brain?!?
There's this girl I know from HS, my best friend's step-mom's niece, and I need to just delete her. But I can't because train wrecks, while they aren't fun to watch are really hard to look away from. She has classic Munchausen Syndrome. I say this not as anyone in any capacity to diagnose her and also as a person who's mother has/had Munchausen by Proxy. She checks herself or her son (6 YO) into the ER or urgent care, no joke 2-3x a month. By check in I mean the FB feature to check in. This is along with videos and/or photos of her or her son in gowns, hooked up to monitors etc. She has most recently discovered the FB live feature so she has been live broadcasting their visits. Most recently was her, apparently too sick/tired to hold her eyes open but A-OK with holding the phone up from a flattering angle. Now she's in a sling (selfie with sling prominently displayed) claiming that the last UC facility damaged nerves in her arm and she has to wear it for 6 weeks. Wait wait wait, but she felt fine enough last night to take her arm out to do her make up and take 5 selfies because she was bored. I know I know I know. I am a b!tchy judgey person and this is the problem with facebook, but seriously.. can't look away.

@peachesnbean Um yeah, I think I'd be all over those posts with popcorn. Sad popcorn, but yes.
The sex dreams have been insane since about week 18, and the other night I had one about this guy I had a crush on in college. He died the year after we graduated. I AM HAVING SEX DREAMS ABOUT DEAD PEOPLE.

I've eaten a chicken pita every day for lunch this week. In my head I'm fed up but I crave it every single day come lunch time. I've basically eaten take out food for 7 days straight. The guys who own the place must be like WTF lady.

I was supposed to go down home to my parents this evening to go out for dinner with friends as one of our friends who lives in england is home for the weekend. She cancelled on us and much as it wouldve been lovely to see her, im really glad i dont have the 75mile journey in heavy traffic straight after work & get to go home to my own house, put a fire on & chill out after a long week at work!
So, I'm really struggling with work right now. I'm trying to eat right with my new GD diagnosis but I got actual flak yesterday for taking a freaking 30 min lunch. Seriously. Someone said something to me. I work all weekend (again) and next week I travel 2 days. So I'm travelling a ton for work and personal stuff and working a ton and it is making it really hard to eat right, drink water, exercise and sleep well. So I'm going to ask my Midwives for a note saying I can't travel for work anymore. And my hours are about to go down to a normal level because of the new overtime rule (my company decided to implement it even though there is an injunction.) Woo hoo!
@Gretchypoo ultimately the health of you & your baby is far more important so you definitely do right requesting a medical note if work as being dicks!
@Gretchypoo my work were being dicks about putting me on light duty (my job is really physical) and demanded a doctors note to do the less strenuous stuff that was still in my job description. I was like you want a drs note? Here, motherfuckers. I had my Dr put me out on disability.
I eat so much processed food. I'm a terrible wife/mother in that regard.
Ugh, me too. I know I shouldn't feed it to my family so much and it's something I'm trying to cut out little by little. It's especially hard when my toddler refuses veggies and most anything healthy, but I do feel really crappy about it.

As I was leaving this morning, I told DH that tonight was pizza night because I'm baking for a cookie exchange tomorrow... His reply was "I'm getting so fat". We used to do pizza/take-out a couple times a month, tonight will be the second time this week. Some day, I'll cook again...

For real. My H is as happy with Hamburger Helper as with a meal made from scratch, and my toddler only eats chicken nuggets and pouches so fuck it.

Genius. I'm totally getting a note at my next appointment.
@Gretchypoo that is really lame your boss is being a dick about taking a break for lunch - especially since you have GD and need to eat at very regular intervals to keep blood sugar stable. And definitely get a doctor's note for travel - it's exhausting during pregnancy, AND it makes it more difficult to eat healthy!
My job requires occasional travel, but I am extremely lucky that my boss is so cool about me not wanting to take trips anymore. I did have to travel for a week last month, but that was the last trip until I come back from maternity leave.
I'm about to drop a bomb on y'all. But my confession is that I don't like colored lights on Christmas trees. Lol.
I don't like the rainbow strings, but I am okay with single-colored strings... Like, we have a string of white lights and a string of red lights on our tree, but that's it. Anything more than that is too much, IMO.
+1 for eating too much processed food. It's hard to get motivated to cook healthy when you work all day. I don't get home until 6pm so with processed food I'm guaranteed to be eating by 6:30-7pm, on nights when I cook from scratch it's like 7:30-8pm which then guarantees heartburn at night.
+1 to thinking white lights look best on Christmas trees and outdoor decorations. If it is a strand of a single color it may look ok depending on other decor but my favorite is just traditional white

Cooking sucks! Before pregnancy I loved to cook. We have eaten way too much processed food in the last 6 months. Veggies make an appearance like once a week.
I love colored lights, but it's not my style for my house. I've seen some beautiful trees done with colored lights.
Sex dreams aren't happening for me. Not sure where they went from my 1st pregnancy.
Yes! White lights are the only way to go for decorations, everything else looks tacky IMO. Although I kind of like the old school big glass bulb ones in colors (you know, the ones that used to catch on fire bcs they would get so hot!).
I also hate artificial Christmas trees. Real trees always, even if it means my life is lightly coated in pine needles for an entire month (adds some textural and visual interest to all the dog/cat hair everywhere, I say).

White one my tree and house. But I don't mind seeing the occasional colored lights on houses while we drive around and look at decorations. But to me on a tree it's just bleh. Too much. And white lights are just so crisp and pretty. I love white icicle lights outside too. I don't HATE single color strands like red strand with your white. But I stil lwouldnt do it. #lightsnob
I guess I'm the odd ball out, but colored Christmas lights alllllllll day long. They make me feel like a kid! We have them in our tree inside, all over an outside tree, on the bushes and on the porch and every time I drive up it makes me smile.
We put color icicles on the house this year. We usually do white icicles on the house and we bought the color ones to swag along our fence. This year DH decided that DS would like it better if we put the color ones on the house. I am ok with it but put my foot down when DH wanted to get one of those projectors with snowing Mickey faces. There is festive and then there is FESTIVE. He needs to simmer down.
Am I the only one who loves tinsel on the tree? I think it's magical but DH hates it with a fiery passion.
I love tinsel, even though my mom used to make me put it on strand by single strand... We have a fake (gasp) tree and I don't get to use tinsel anymore, which makes me sad. But DH is not into Christmas at all, so a real tree every year was going to be a major battle I didn't want to fight.
+1 to fake tree. Sorry, but my seven year old prelit three-piece that snaps together in 5 minutes is so much more convenient to throw in a corner for a month as opposed to the logistics of stuffing a live pine in our little Corolla, getting it home, setting up, and decorated. But I'm also just about the cheapest person ever when it comes to seasonal stuff, so there's that

But that sounds amazing! My husband is into Christmas but I wish he was all about the decorations like that!
+1 to only white lights and a fake tree. I doubt the outside of the house will get decorated this year. H seems to be too lazy/not care enough this year and now that the temps here have dropped I might as well not even try to convince him...
White lights. Real trees. I actually got my tree up this week, because we are doing maternity photos this week. Well, I hope. That's a whole other post that I may make on Monday, if it hasn't been resolved. Long story short, get it clear up front if your photographer also does birth photography. I've been rescheduled 3 times this week already for an early labour that has been going on for 4 days. I feel for the mama, but I only have so much free time, and I wish "oh, BTW, I will cancel all appointments if someone is having contractions 15 minutes apart" had been part of our initial conversation....
But, plus side, my house smells amazing. Noble Fir all the way, to put an even more controversial opinion out there. GTFO with your douglas firs.
I like either white or colored lights, but I totally judge people who mix something like cool white and warm white lights, or different kinds of mixed colored lights that clash. Just pick one, please. Also, don't just drape one strand of lights haphazardly across a random tree. When I was young my mom used to straighten our neighbors' lights in the middle of the night. I've never gone that far, but I definitely cringe at some of my neighbors' displays.

Real tree, all the lights. Christmas magic, yo! I do prefer white only for outdoors but color can be nice if done properly.
I like the look of tinsel but but my parents banned it when I was a kid because they said it could kill the dog and kind of scarred me from actually using it.
