I've been trying to get DH on the Sebastian train since we were team green with DD. I got my way on her name, so hopefully I win him over on this one too.
We only have thought about girls names so far. me and DH are both coming up with blanks for boys names. DS's name is Mason Thomas and it was the only boys name we came up with. Here are our girl names though (the two we love the most have an asterisk). If we end up having a boy, that baby might be here before we come up with a name
@bacorrea I have cousins with very Irish names that I thought may interest you. Ferin (girl), Rowan (girl), and Riston (boy)
@jasd33 I love the name Adeline! I used to work at an assisted living and had the sweetest resident named Adeline, she collected giraffe trinkets and when she passed away her family let each of us pick something to keep. I chose a giraffe keychain that has been on my car keychain since that day, almost 5 years ago. Every time I look at it I smile and think of her...OMG sorry for the tangent!
Names I like but DH has vetoed: Boys - William, Lucas, Owen, Aaron, Adam Girls - Lillian, Hannah, Annie, Clare, Irene, McKenna (still fighting for this one), Megan, Erica, Sydney, Landry, and Maggie
We already have our girl name picked, but one I love that husband vetoed was Hazel. I imagined calling her my little Hazelnut
For a boy my husband has vetoed all names because he is a Jr. of his father, so in marrying him I knew our son would be the III. I keep trying, though I like Leo, Lucas, and Theodore (Teddy).
@amh369 at least with a boy being the third you can call him Trey (assuming you're not fond of the name). My friend was going to end up having the fourth and she put her foot down and won! She sure made the grandfather mad though.
Arent there rules about all that anyway? I thought I read somewhere you aren't really supposed to have a fourth unless the first has passed? Meh that's my random thought for the day.

Yes! My brother is the third Harold and my mom couldn't imagine calling her little baby Harold so he's Trey!

@amh369 MH is also a JR, but I put my foot down and said no. Mostly because he and his father don't even go by their given name, they go by there middle name and I think that's silly.
@NurseK2016 such a sweet story about Adeline! Makes me like the name even more! My favorite aunt is obsessed with giraffes so that sounds like it would be her!
I shared our list above, but one of my good friends just revealed her list to me. She's done having kids, 6 ages 6 and under is enough for her! I thought some of these might be ones you ladies would like.

We've talked a little about names and I can't seem to remember the ones that didn't make the cut, but these are the ones we've talked a little about. Family names are fairly important, more so with girls than boys for some reason haha
Boys:
Kingsley Clark (Family name) Augustus (nn Gus) Tybereus (DH is dead set that this will be the first name if we have a boy, Ty for nn) Oliver (although it is very popular so I'm not so sure anymore, maybe middle) Everett Declan Tobias
Girls:
Dorothy Rose (if it is a girl this will most likely be the full name, Dorothy is DH's grandma's name) Penelope (nn Penny...I've always loved this name) Lilian Everly Lenora (my mom's family name that's been around, her middle name was supposed to be this but somehow became Glenora - she hates it haha) Zoey (always like this name, too)
I'm sure more will be added as we go!! Loving see all of the names and curious what you all think of these!

We just found out that baby #2 is a boy! I guess I can add our girl's name to my unused list! If either baby happened to be a girl, she would have been Eleanor (perhaps nn Nora).
Our current top contender for this little guy is Henry, which I love. I noticed it's on a few of your lists here and was wondering about the reasoning? I'm super indecisive, and worry Henry may be getting too popular? DH loves Jackson, but that is definitely too trendy for my tastes. Middle name will likely be Robert.

@RainyDays86 - I noticed the name Elliott on your girl list and thought it was so cute! My son's name is Bennett and I think they two names sound so cute together. I mentioned it to my husband, fully expecting him to veto it for the same reason yours did. To my surprise, he said he really liked it. We've definitely got it on our short list (so short of a list that it's the only one on there!). Thanks for the idea!!
So far we have talked about Graham, Oliver, Owen, Jackson (too popular since we first made our list), and Noah to name a few. Graham was my first choice and I love it still but DH says no because it doesn't "flow" with our middle name (Scott, family middle name).
@MrsFreeman2010 our son's name is Owen and this one will be Graham if he's a boy! I also love Jackson but agree it is too popular now. We have similar taste in boy names!
@RainyDays86 how funny! I'm irrationally upset that that Dh doesnt like graham. When I first heard it I was like yep that's this baby's name. It was instant. And then he rained on my parade His favorite is Owen so we will see.
@MrsFreeman2010 that's how I feel about my favorite girl name, Elliott (Ellie for short). DH instantly rejected it because it's a boy's name and I am still mad about it. Names are hard!
@RainyDays86, immediate husband rejection is the worst!! I also loved Eliott for a girl and he nixed it immediately because it's "a boy name". I'm nearly set on the name for our girl (Estelle) and have decided to stop giving husband other options...if he's not 100% on board with my top name (and he doesn't have any suggestions like, ever) then it's up to him to change my mind! He keeps telling me "I like it, but I want to consider our options"...which really means he just wants me to feed him dozens of names to immediately reject...
I like Oliver, but I'm not fond of a Ollie as a NN. Has anyone ever heard of another NN? I guess you could just use "O" or something. I understand that not every name has to have a NN or, even if it did, a person doesn't have to use it. Jackson was on my list when we were Team Green with DD but now a very close friend used it for her son. She didn't ask, which I think is a little weird, but whatevs.
Our liked but ultimately rejected names: Alexander, Ezra, Elijah, Jackson & Isabelle.
