I did not want to get out of bed this morning. Then I couldn't find my stuff for work so I left late. I was a little late to work and found out my boss' son had to go to the hospital late last night. So I'm sitting here listening to Pandora Christmas music all alone and about to fall asleep at my desk. (ok, that last one isn't a bf)
And a bf to my SIL who's been taking care of our pup texting H this morning that he's "annoying her and teaching her dog bad things". 1- your dog is no angel despite what you think and 2- you wouldn't even have him if you hadn't messed with the plan for last week. She can just pipe down!
The city finally finished our road and put in dirt around the asphalt to grade the shoulder. Then, they put thatch down. Every house looks great except ours because across the street is an in-home daycare and parents park on our lawn/side of the road. Granted, when the parents can, they try and park in the driveway, but it's usually full of the cars because the people who run the daycare have so much stuff in the garage so they park in the driveway. Also, they have two teenagers of driving age who park in the driveway or mess up our lawn by parking on it. So technically, I don't know if the damage was done by daycare parents or the teenagers. Still, their lawn is pristine and mine is destroyed.
Our car broke down over a month ago... it is still under warranty so we had it towed to the dealership. They piddled around with it before finally getting it back to us this past Friday. When we got in the car, we saw a random part sitting in a cup holder. Then Saturday while we were out, my husband found where the part came from. They broke these deer sensor pieces that sit up front on like the grill area. One was completely off (the one in the cup holder) and the other one was literally flapping around. Then I got in to drive (normally my husband drives) and I see a big gouge in the door handle!! I decided to look over the rest of the exterior and the front passenger door is scratched up too!! It took them a month to fix our car, and in the mean time they busted stuff off and scratched it. I'm more annoyed because we've only had the car for 2 years and we still owe a fortune on it. I am so angry I want to call and let them know that they are idiots, but my husband says it won't do any good. In my head, I'll at least feel better for letting them know that we know they messed stuff up and they suck! I mean I guess it could just be me, but seriously!! It was the dealership you'd think they'd take care of the vehicles and not bang them up then just ignore it.
First day back at work after vacation always sucks, but it's been one of those mornings... To summarize, I forgot my breakfast, had a sniss incident, and had a million emails to catch up on all before 9 AM. Boo hiss.
ETA: And how could I forget, my travel maple syrup spilled all into the bottom of my purse sometime last night, and covered my keys. I discovered this as I was running out to work, so I get to clean that up tonight too.
@WinchesterGirl lol I've never heard someone say they have travel maple syrup, let alone in their purse. But it does sound like an unfortunate sticky situation (really it sounds awful, I just couldn't resist making the funny)
You think so? My husband said he figures it was part of the million page paperwork he had to sign. I thought they should have to fix it, they messed it up.

@kswiger06 you should 100% complain to the dealership. They should fix all of that damage free of charge and give you a free rental in the meantime. If this is a recurring issue, call the national office and see what you can do. That is unacceptable!
Our warranty includes a free rental, so we did have one that whole time it was being worked on. I'm glad you guys think it's worth a call too, I might just do it. My husband is oddly not as stirred up as I would think. And he did imply he didnt want me to call and to just let it go, since he thinks they could potentially cause even more damage and have it for who knows how long, but I feel like it's ridiculous that they caused all that damage.

Take pics of all the damage, plus take pics of the condition before sending it back in.
@kswiger06 service centers are generally pretty shitty and won't admit liability but I would still call and raise hell. Actually I'd go in person because I'm intense and it's much more satisfying yelling at people in person.
We're dealing with stupid dealership service center stuff now. Motor mounts on my car with 39,000 miles failed. I had taken the car in to 2 different dealerships before the warranty was up complaining about a noise, one of them even worked on the car. It's gotten worse and now the car is jerking and it's definitely the transmission. They're saying the motor mounts aren't covered by warranty but rebuilding the transmission that is messed up because of the failed motor mounts is. Wtf? I talked them down to only charging me for the actual mounts which is only $200 but I fully expect Chrysler to eventually reimburse me for them.We also just had to spend $600 on a new washing machine this weekend because ours is recalled, we won't get it for a month, and then we have to wait 6 months from that to get the reimbursement from the recall. Between all this crap and medical bills and Christmas and trying to get stuff for the baby I'm just waiting for the inevitable horrible panic attack my husband is going to have and it's giving me anxiety.

Oh no no no. They WILL fix it. +1 to calling or going in person and complaining. Or you can send me there and I will snap on them for you
@fourPsinapod I'm slightly more confrontational now than I am non-pregnant but you can totally go in for me and give em hell lol aren't you an ohian too or am I mixing people up? Haha
I have a few BF. 1- I was up several hours in the middle of the night with heartburn and I still have it. Never experienced it with my first and it's annoying af. 2- I'm working on getting another OB because I still haven't gotten an order for bedrest from mine, even after going into preterm labor and continuing to have contractions with any standing or walking. I am waiting for the new doctor to see if she will accept me. She's accepting new patients, but because I was under another doctor's care it's a more complicated situation. 3- My SO has gotten all weird about sex since I've gotten bigger and won't give me any.
Ok wait... before I do sound irrational... I looked up the deer things and they are just $6 pieces that are a wildlife warning and basically attach by sticky stuff, and here is the gouge in the handle. I know it wasn't there when we had it taken in, but want to make sure you'd all still complain and I'm not just whining. The scratch on the other door looks bigger in size, but only goes down to the white undercoat not the metal.
I'd be raising hell, too, @kswiger06 (though my version of raising hell does not involve yelling, but rather eerie calm, which I learned from my mother, haha). They should absolutely fix that damage free of charge!

Oh I would not be happy with the dealership... +1 for marching in and asking for a manager before I even say hello....
My mother hates confrontation like this, she asks me to be her rent a bitch. Hahaha I generally take a cordial but this is unacceptable and do not push me further attitude. Unless they get snarky...
@kswiger06 I agree with everyone else, take pictures of the damage and make the call!
Also I swear I'm not crazy for having maple syrup in my purse... I love having pancakes and waffles when we're out, but I'm allergic to some of the ingredients in the fake syrup. So I just bring my own tiny bottle so I can still eat pancakes!

We had sex a couple nights ago, and my husband started laughing. From what I gather, it tickled his funny bone that our bellies were rubbing together. I asked what the deal was and he said "it's just awkward"
We can be sex less together... well and afkash's husband too (probably others on here as well)

Ok, me reading about tickled funny bones and rubbing bellies made me jealous. It's official, I'm a dirty old pregnant lady.
@foxrosy I hope you get a new Dr soon! That they have not give you a RX for bedrest yet is insane. I hope that uterus calms down, stay in there baby!
@WinchesterGirl omg I love that you keep maple syrup for pancake emergencies. That is so amazing and now I think you are Leslie Knope. Or Buddy the Elf.

Well this is a really small BF but I'm waiting on my car to get inspected and I saw skittles in the vending machine which I immediately needed but then it ate my money and didn't give me skittles! Now I'm skittleless and sad.

Dammit Winchester! I wanted no logical explanation for your travel syrup, I just wanted it to be a thing that happens. It made me snort when I read your first post. Sorry about your spill (and your food allergies).
My stupid uncle called and woke me up early in the morning (I work second shift and go to bed around 2am which he knows), so I answered thinking it must be an emergency. He simply called to complain about something stupid, so I told him I would call him later in the day when I wake up. I fell back asleep and not even 3 minutes later this asshole is AT MY HOUSE, KNOCKING ON THE DOOR! (unfortunately he happens to be our neighbor) And his knock is not a normal person knocking, it is out right banging. My dogs start barking/howling, so at this point I am beyond pissed. DH gets up, opens the door to say I am asleep and would call him later, and he literally pushes past my husband and walks in the house! Oh HELL NO. Needless to say we both screamed at him and I don't think we will be speaking for a LONG LONG TIME if ever. DH and I hurled some expletives his way honestly because he is quite an inconsiderate asshole and runs his mouth if he doesn't get his way, so he called my Mom and grandfather to tattle and whine about how we mistreat him, verbally abuse him, and are shitty family members (keep in mind my uncle is in his 40's) I have no interest in associating with that and I refuse to apologize. If i tell you I AM SLEEPING, CALL YOU LATER. It does not mean come to my house in 2 minutes and bang on the door and walk in my house b/c you want to talk. EFFFFF THAT! W T F
@BlondePeanut whoa! Boundary issues! People are not entitled to your time or energy. Glad H stood up for you. Stand your ground on this one. If I were you I'd be tempted to tell your Uncle that next time he barges into your house without being invited, you'll call the police because he is trespassing. That is not okay!
@Gretchypoo - actually we did tell him that. and I told my grandfather that he can baby him all he wants, but I don't have time for it and if he tries that crap again he can deal with the PD. my grandfather tried chewing me out so I hung up on him and I don't regret it one bit. they're both stubborn jerks and I'm not a child who is going to stand for their shit whether they're my elders or not. it is no wonder he acts like a brat, my grandfather tries to fight his battles like he is a kid, when he is a grown man. nope, no thanks.
I think my Mom and sisters and I are the only sane, well mannered bunch still living on that side of my family (we have our moments too of course) but those 2 men are something else entirely...yeeeesh.
