@mrsmcfreckles I will be praying for you!! I am in a similar situation as you. My husband and I flew to Dallas two weeks ago for my birthday to go to Waco. The night we flew in I woke up to go to the bathroom and felt something try to come out of me. We rushed to the ER in Irving, TX. Our baby boy was healthy and had a strong heartbeat but my amnio sac was halfway out and had pushed past my cervix. I discovered I had an incompetent cervix and my sac could rupture at any point. I was 21 weeeks then and told our son would not be viable. I was then transferred to the largest hospital in Dallas which is the top hospital for micro premies. I was able to do an emergency cerclage and keep my little guy in as long as possible. The surgery has been a success and we were released this past Monday to fly home to CA where I am still on bed rest and can only get up to use the bathroom or shower. I'm 23 weeks tomorrow and have my eyes on full term even if that means I have to lay down the rest of my pregnancy. we do whatever is necessary for our little babies! I can definitely relate and understand how you are feeling. I believe we serve a God who is able to do miracles and I know He took care of us and our baby boy. I will continue to pray for you and that you can carry your little girl to full term!! Take it one day at a time and find joy in each day!
@seangle2005 Wow! That was close. I'm so glad they were able to sew that cerclage and super impressed that they let you fly home. What a miracle!! We are definitely in the same boat. He said I can be upright for about 30 minutes a day - that includes bathroom trips, a five minute shower so long as I sit and sitting up to eat. I feel like such a sloth laying down all the time but it's truly the only thing keeping her in. I didn't have enough cervix left to stitch closed. It's paperthin last time they they checked I was 3-4. I haven't had any more contractions but I definitely have lots of pressure. She's currently breech but I think I felt her turn sideways today which would be great. No chance of slipping out. LOL
@Gators&BoSox Thanks for checking on me!! I'm still pregnant. Yay! 24.3 today. I've had a couple of uneventful days. Just laying here, growing my girl. I'm starting to get a little stir crazy and weepy but otherwise okay.
@mrsmcfreckles I can't even imagine how stir-crazy you must be feeling right now, but just remember that every day you are there that your baby is getting stronger and stronger and getting ready to meet you! And we are here (virtually) to cheer you on and keep you company along the way! You got this! Sending lots of love, prayers, and positive vibes your way!!!
