  • @lulu1180 @Starla @BertieMeetsGertie Thanks ladies. You're so kind :)

@BertieMeetsGertie Omg that is amazing!!!! I hope you have a great time! After last week I'm a little worried... Washington is 5-3 I think. The number of injuries we've had this year is so sad. But you can be our good luck charm :)

  • @BertieMeetsGertie have fun at the game!
@adirat I hope your MRI goes well!

@BertieMeetsGertie Have a great time at the Redskins/Packers game!! Bundle up though! It's going to be freeeeeezing. Also, I was bawling watching News 4 this morning too  :'(
@Ohemgee thank you for the slow rise info! I've been meaning to look at my copy of TCOYF because I think that's what is going on with me this month.

  • @vegetalienne No, this is my first MRI. Any tips? My doctor told me that if I just focus on calming breathing I shouldn't have any problem because the only uncomfortable thing about it is the noise.

  • @vegetalienne have fun on your date night!
@JulesDP have fun with your BFF!

  • @JulesDP I have a friend just like that. She is a couple of years older than me, never left our college town, in a complicated relationship, kinda hating her job and where she lives right now. If I do get KU this cycle, I would find out when I am visiting for her birthday weekend. I have been hesitant to tell her that we are TTGP because she's always going on about how gross it is to have kids, how she'll probably never get married, etc. I know she is just saying that be be guarded though, so when I tell her I am going to find a way to be delicate.
On the other hand, she got dumped the week before I got married but she was still super happy for me and supportive, so I shouldn't assume that she will be bitter or hateful when I tell her I am TTGP I guess.

  • @adirat that sounds like good advice! I am claustrophobic so I was nervous, but it's nothing like I thought. Although you do have to keep still, it's not like you are enclosed in a small space since there are big holes on either end. Also, I was able to conquer my nervousness because I realized being in an MRI machine is really a safe place to be, since you're the center of attention in a medical facility full of smart, trained people! I tried to think of it like getting a hug from a robot. It's a pretty amazing piece of technology--feels like being in Star Trek!

  • @adirat I have been in an MRI machine three times (one concussion and two shoulder surgeries courtesy of college soccer). It's loud and tight in there. I have to go in with closed eyes or I panic. Make sure ALL jewelry and metal is off - I was told a ring was okay once and it vibrated insanely until they stopped the machine so I could take it off.

  • @vegetalienne Thanks! That's helpful. Yes, my doctor said MRIs are very safe -- safer than things like CT scans or x-rays since the MRI is just a magnet. I was more nervous about what it will find than the actual procedure, but now I feel like it's going to be an awesome sci fi experience at least :)

  • @Ohemgee They're called easy @ home I think.

    @lulu1180 Hapy birthday!!!

@BertieMeetsGertie That movie experience sounds interesting. Have fun at that and the game!

Question: My CM just drastically changed from sticky to approaching egg white. Also my cervix is now tilted more toward my butt (more vertical if that makes sense).  Anyone know what the change in tilt could indicate?

    *TW*- Mention of kiddo birthday*.
R/R: Rave: DS' first birthday is today, and his party is tomorrow!  I'm excited, but I can't believe it's already been a year.  It went fast.  *End TW*   Rant-   It looks like O will happen sometime this weekend, if FF can be believed, and of course my parents are in town for the previously mentioned party.  It's going to be hard to sneak in DTD when my parents are across the hallway.

CS/Q: I thought my thermometer was joining the ranks of the broken/ dead battery ones this week, I've had very similar temps the last couple of days.  Looking at last month, I had a similar situation right before O. I retook my temp again a few minutes after the first time and it changed, but.. my body needs to get some action going on here.

GTKY: What are your weekend plans?  Partayyy, then relax all weekend.  My BIL is visiting from Iowa, so we'll probably spend a lot of time with him, too.

Exactly this! "I'm going to die alone" is another one of her mainstays.

Before we started trying, I casually mentioned that babies were "on the horizon" for H and I. My friend totally shut down -- literally and figuratively -- she stopped talking and then told me she was going to go take a nap.  She later apologized for how she reacted...  but that response is burned into my memory.

  • @JuneRoseRuby Ugh!  I'm so sorry you have to wait that long!  Any chance they might be able to get you in sooner if there's a cancellation or something?

@Starla I wish I could tell you what the tilt means but CP is very different and specific for each and every person.  Is this your first cycle checking CP?  If so, the best advice I can give is that you will be able to tell what each position is only in hindsight.  My CP does not follow the textbook knuckle rule.

  • Warning: This is mostly a vent...

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 12

WAYDTGKU: Well, nothing I guess. We HIO on what might be either -4 or -3 depending on when I O. We tried to HIO last night and this morning. DH could not finish. This has never happened twice in a row. I don't what is going on other than maybe performance anxiety or stress. I have been calm and understanding, but it is so unbelievably frustrating that he cannot finish. It's going to be very difficult to be on this TTC journey if this continues, I don't know what to do. Though I was excited to officially start trying, I did not pressure him. He knows it's my FW, so maybe for future cycles I shouldn't tell him. IDK if we will try again tonight, I will leave that up to him. He will be away on a trip with his friends next month for 90% of my FW, so that is likely to not be successful either. I am just so upset right now and feel quite helpless. I know it's our 2nd cycle and first one really trying, but I did not imagine this happening. Now, we probably can't really try until cycle 4.

R/R:  I slept like shit last night. I f**king woke up at 12:45am, 1:30am, 2:50am and for a last time at 4:35am...then I laid awake until we tried to HIO at 6:30am. I temped at 4:35am since I knew I would't be going back to sleep. It's obviously off from a time stand point, but the temp is still in the "normal range" so I am not sure if I O'd quite yet....but my chart is all over the damn place. I got my first positive OPK at 9:00am yesterday and confirmed it again in the afternoon around 6:00pm. So who knows, maybe I will O this evening and maybe, just maybe we can successfully HIO. But I am not going to pressure DH. I don't want 3 failed attempts in a 24 hour period.

    CS/Q: nothing.

GTKY: What are your weekend plans?

Well, originally, I thought I might O on Sunday. So we were planning on HIO a lot and I was going to try to make it romantic and relaxing. Now...that's down the drain. So nothing really. I have a massage tomorrow morning, so maybe that will help de-stress a little.
