Thanks, ladies. I am really mad. Part of the hassle is that I need to get this MRI done during the follicular phase/before ovulation, which really limits the period of time to do it. They offered me one spot the week after Thanksgiving as first available, but that will be after O (I have been ovulating between cd15-17) so I'm waiting a whole cycle to do it now.

@ChefRamsay That is true, now I'll be going in during my lunch break at work so not only will the trains work but I will be in Manhattan anyway! Thanks for the silver lining.

(Don't tell anyone in the office but I just opened my bottle of cabernet.)

@adirat - seriously?! that's so crappy!!! and yeah, im rolling eyes at DH too. I looked up onow google the " script" for the Knights of columbus thing and I'm pretty sure I found it all  in detail. if I can find it on google, just tell me yourself.

Kiki75ChefRamsay: thanks for the ideas. 

We actually do a number of different positions and rarely do missionary. We also tried a HJ/BJ to try to get closer to him being able to finish. I think the stress and exhaustion was catching up to him.

He texted and asked if we could go out for a date night tonight. So I am hoping maybe that will relax us both. If he brings up wanting to HIO, I am on board. If he doesn't, we will just wait until the next cycle.

@adirat I would be so angry calling them on Monday!!! Is there any way you could get the doc on call to send something to them in time?

@adirat Oh no! That really blows. I'd be pissed too but that's amazing you were able to keep your cool. Enjoy your cab tonight and try not to dwell on it.

@NYTino24 Touche. It would be one thing if H had a different job but he's gone about four days straight every week so we're constantly trying to bid for his schedule based off of what might happen.

@Kiki75 Boo to that! MH is gone for 24 hour shifts (like now), so that means we don't usually see each other for 36 hours twice a week. I know I'm lucky because some couples have one or both partners traveling frequently. But I still feel like older age + longer cycle = crushing BFNs. Hope YH gets a good schedule for TTC.

Update:

DH and I went out on a date tonight to relax and reconnect. Afterward, he initiated sex on his own. We were so much more relaxed and he was easily able to finish (sorry, tmi). We HIO about 36 hours after the positive OPK, so it may or may not be too late. My hope is we still have a shot, but even if we don't, I am just glad we were able to get back to a positive place. Just being able to have successfully HIO was a huge confidence boost for him and relief for me. The last 24 hours were so stressful, I am just glad we were able to reconnect.

Thank you to everyone for the support and the ideas on how to simply relax a bit more.
