I'm so sick of being sick! Sunday morning, which was baby shower day, I woke up with the worst head cold and congestion. It moved to my chest now. Boo...
But, the shower was lovely and my mom did amazing job putting it together. Lumpy is going to be a very well dressed little guy! He was spoiled! I was impressed too, we only got a few duplicate gifts and very few duplicate books (which we asked for instead of cards).
And the nursery needs 1 more cost of paint on the wainscoting, then it is ready to move baby stuff into!
AND
our kitchen us is almost done!!! The carpenters are done today! We are tiling the floor and putting the bead board on the ceiling, the counter top template is happening tmrw. As soon as the counter tops are in we will move back in!!

I am sick and tired of reading articles and posts of moms complaining. "10 things no one tells you about being pregnant"... click on it and it's just a list of bitching. Some woman had the audacity to call pregnancy "gross"... wtf?!?!?! What about the AMAZING sides of pregnancy?! The feeling of your child moving around in your womb?! The joy you feel when you see your baby and hear his/her heartbeat for the first time?! The warmth and comfort of knowing that you are carrying a life?! People take all of this for granted and it really pisses me off. Or the lists about childbirth... suck it up!! Shit. You just made a human being... doesn't that beat the pain?! Talk about that for once! Talk about the unique bond between mother and child! Who cares about all the other stuff... that's a BLIP on the radar compared to the love and joy you will have for the REST OF YOUR LIFE.
Rant over...
Hope everyone is having a great day

@babylonghorn16 agreed! I decided long ago that I would not publicly complain about the negative aspects of pregnancy, because the positive by far outweigh them! Do I have heartburn? Yup. Does it suck really bad? Yup. But that means my babies are still growing and we're getting closer with each bout of heartburn to meeting them. It's especially weird when you read those things and it's like "uh, yeah, I knew that, everyone knows that".

@babylonghorn16 I agree with you. I hate those articles or when I hear women complaining about how horrible pregnancy is. I won't lie, I get moments where I'm like ugh the 24/7 heartburn is killing me and I can't sleep normally because everything hurts. But then I tell myself it's all worth it in the end.

1st and foremost thank you to all if you for the support this past week has been unbearable but reading that so many people are cheering and prayer for my little boy helps more than you know.
We met with a Maternal Fetal specialist today, for almost 2 hours it was by far the most extensive appointment weve had. The u/s alone was an hour. But we left with hope and a game plan
For now I will continue to be on strict bed rest with an increase in my fluid intake. I will meet with this doctor 1x a week for the next 4 weeks for u/s and a checkup.
If we make it through to 23 weeks I will then be hospitalized for the remainder of my pregnancy. With a target of delivering after 10 weeks (so yes a little over 2 months of being in the hospital) My doctor will also be conferring with a dr in Florida who does amniotic fluid transfusions, he usually only does them for those who lose fluid due to amniocentesis so we arent sure hell take me but he is going to explore that option.
We have a long road ahead of us & our hope is that we can make it through each of the doctors target dates.
It will take a lot of blood sweat and tears but we are ready to do whatever it takes. We have faith and so many amazing people praying for us that we are hopeful.
Thank you all again it really does mean so much to us

@Tulips29 Yes, I get little stitches in my side fairly often. I have to walk slow and sometimes just support my stomach when I walk. I definitely notice it if I'm walking up or down hill more. I've heard of people using those support belts, but I don't hurt enough (and I'm not active enough) to feel like I need one.
@babylonghorn16 Yes, this! I definitely think we all have a different mindset with our pregnancies because of IF. I'll tell people about something funny or whatever, and they go "oh just wait until this bad/annoying thing happens." All I can think is "okay, I'll deal with it if it does!" I've definitely had days where I'm grumpy about a symptom or just not being able to get comfortable, but I am just so thrilled to be pregnant that I will happily deal with it all for as long as it lasts.
@ADRIANAC1982 I am SO SO glad you got to a doc who is going to work hard for you and your baby! We will continue to pray for you guys.

Has anyone had their nausea return? Mine has been gone since about 16 weeks, but came back full force last night. I thought maybe it was something I ate, but I've had it on and off all day today as well. Please let this be temporary! I can't live like that again

@NurseTMD85 - I saw the same one and said if I cant find a non-puffer for a reasonable price I would just buy that one. I love coats, but I cant bring myself to spend a fortune one that I will only wear for one season. I am only 12 weeks so I am not much help on the return of nausea as I am still fighting it to start. I use diclegis which is essentially Unisom and vitamin B6. @kelrauh I'm not buying a winter coat. It doesn't get super cold where I live, and it definitely never snows, so I bought a thick sweater to wear that I can put my regular winter coat over and just not button once it gets cold enough.

@kelrauh I've wondered the same thing. My winter coats have zero room for expansion in them and I can't see them fitting anymore by the end of December. I haven't even started looking yet though but I need to get on it! Coats are so expensive!

Re: Randoms - Week of November 14th

@babylonghorn16 Yes, this! I definitely think we all have a different mindset with our pregnancies because of IF. I'll tell people about something funny or whatever, and they go "oh just wait until this bad/annoying thing happens." All I can think is "okay, I'll deal with it if it does!" I've definitely had days where I'm grumpy about a symptom or just not being able to get comfortable, but I am just so thrilled to be pregnant that I will happily deal with it all for as long as it lasts.
