I'm heartbroken. We had our first cervical check US yesterday, and everything looked great. Last night into this morning, I started leaking fluid and having some intense cramping. My OB office told me to go to L&D where they did a fluid swab and US. When all results came back, the Dr came in and told me my sac holding the water for baby A had ruptured. My fluid level in that sac had dropped greatly. Now we have to decide what to do. He said termination is one option, which I don't think I can do. We've only got a 5% chance of Baby A making it. If we continue with the pregnancy, there is a huge chance that both babies, as well as myself, could develop a serious infection, and we could lose both babies anyways. IF I make it to 23 weeks, I'd be admitted to a hospital an hour away from home for intense monitoring, and stay there until we deliver. We're waiting for a specialist to call us back to discuss all of our options. I have no idea what to do. Any good thoughts or vibes are appreciated. I'll update when I know more.
