@ThePax89 funny you mentioned this I finally organized the baby clothes my Mom washed and folded (while crying my eyes out remembering how little my boy was at one time) and realized I have 16 footed newborn sleepers, 6 pairs pants, 8 long sleeved onsies and 2 overall outfits. I was like WTF? lol This was after I weeded out the ones I wanted to get rid of. Granted my first was in nb clothes quite awhile but still, didn't realize just how many I had. Watch, this one will weigh 9lbs and will start off in 3 month!
@ThePax89 My husband brought up the fact that I have a bunch of clothes for me and for the kids because I want to avoid doing laundry every day. LOL. That's probably true... I think I have about 5-7 sleepers for this little girl but haven't gone through our son's stuff yet. I'll probably end up with 10 of them or something.
@JLJ2012@momof2girls+? @ThePax89 Thank you for your input! I ended up talking to my friend about my worries and she said she would have no qualms about taking off work and helping me out if I need it that week, so that has been a huge weight lifted. Other options are MIL helping out (and maybe Owen just misses school, it's preschool and just 2x/week), or getting a mother's helper for a few hours a day when I might need it most.
Have any other stms+ babies not "committed" to a final position. This girl is breach one day, and then transverse the next, and head down 4 hours later. The midwife said that the uterus is super lax after a first pregnancy. I'm very worried this kid won't stay head down.
@thepax89 I feel like she switches every few days. DD1 was head down at 20 weeks and stayed down for the remainder of my pregnancy so yeah, I know she has time to turn, but I'm wishing she'd get in position and stay that way.
@ThePax89 I'm actually a first time mom but this is definitely happening with me. My boy switches from head down, to head up, to transverse pretty regularly (I call him my squirmy boy).
I talked to my OB about it at my 30w appointment and she said that was pretty normal, especially with how active he's been this pregnancy. I'm 32w now and he hasn't calmed down, so I figured I'd ask again at 34w if he's still doing flips.
@ThePax89 mine is breech. I am a STM. but, my providers are taking it very seriously. I have one week for him to turn before they want to do a version. if that fails I'm looking at a planned c-section because I've had one already. I'm super bummed. I read only 25% of babies are breech at 30 weeks...your having a girl, maybe she's small and easily flips around. I'm having a boy and I'm guessing he's big like his brother and probably doesn't have much room to turn.
@adorebella I actually had no problem with my infant carrier at 2.5 wks out. You'll need to check in with your doctor, but I was able to do most things by then. My doc stressed that they don't want you to drive until 2 wks out due to the stitches and what could happen if you were in an auto accident. I remember going to Target as soon as I was out of that window to get out of the house, and I used the carrier. But, every person is different, so go by what your OB suggests.

@kaytastic25 I wonder why my midwives aren't concerned? I'd really like a growth scan. I'm starting to feel like she's a tiny bean which is worrying me. How many weeks are you?
@ThePax89 I'm pretty sure this baby has been head down for a while now, but my first flipped between transverse and breech for a long time! At 32 weeks he was transverse and at that point my dr mentioned that there was still time for him to go head down, but he was running out of space. At 34 weeks I had a very brief ultrasound to check on his position and he had thankfully turned head down and stayed there until birth.
If its worrying you though, I would ask your midwife and hopefully get some peace of mind!
@ThePax89 I'm almost 32 weeks. in my case I've already had a c-section so they can't let me go very far along without expecting I'll just be needing another c-section. that's the rush in my case. I have several friends who had babies turn the day of labor but they weren't a risk for c-section so their OB didn't have certain guidelines to follow. I think they're just pressuring me to schedule a RSC. something is obviously off with the shape of my uterus or I just make gigantic babies.
