@mskeenan I also stopped going to work yesterday. I had brunch outside after the dr appointment and then 2.5 hour sleep during the day and it was awesome!!
@mskeenan you're almost there! Hope the baby cooperates. Can't wait to hear your wonderful news!
So I've had quite a restless night. Came home from work yesterday and wasn't feeling the baby move like I normally do. He's typically pretty active when I relax on the couch. @Tulips29 I'd give your doc a call while the office is still open. Maybe they can do a NST or something to monitor the baby vs having to go to the ER. Hope the movements pick up and put you at ease.

Thanks ladies. My doctor isn't open until Monday, although I can call him in case of an emergency. For now I feel better since I felt some movements. I keep drinking lots of cold water to get him to move. If it slows down again I'll call the doctor. Problem is, he doesn't have any equipment at his office, so he'll likely send me to a hospital anyway if he feels concerned. He told me last week not to count kicks because there are chances movements will slow down and then pick up again and I'll just freak myself out. A few of my friends also told me movements will slow down now that he has less room in there. So I guess I should get used to it, but it's so hard not to worry constantly.

Me too @mskeenan. Everyone is counting kicks and mine tells me not to. But he's very old school in general and he's been doing this for over 30 years, so he definitely knows what he's doing. He measures growth with his hands which I thought was odd. But my mom told me thats how they did to her back in the day when they didn't have any equipment and it worked just fine.

@Tulips29 Wee Boy was doing that to me too! He usually flops around a bunch when I lay down in bed and if I roll over, but he was being very quiet this morning. Then this afternoon he started making up for it by really kicking hard. They are so helpful, aren't they?!

@Tulips29 i totally understand how you feel as i had few episodes like that at around 28 weeks then later one more time. Both times i was exhausted with moving or nursery shopping. My doctor is also old school and he does not believe in kick counts much, honestly until 36 weeks or so he was not too concerned about the change in baby movements but he told me i can call if i m concerned and they will do an ultrasound. I think at this point baby still have space to flip, turn and you might not be able to feel the movements if their position is off. But last weeks he warns me about the change in baby movements and he really wants me to call as soon as i feel a change in movement. If you are getting stressed, please call the dr or go to hospital . It s better to have peace of mind rather then staying at home stressed. Hope he starts to dance and kick soon so your stress will be gone.
Ladies had my first NST today and it was great babies scored perfect on everything. I also got an ultrasound beforehand and finally got a pick of baby bs profile and a pick of the girls heads. Baby a weighs 3lbs 15 oz and baby b is 4lbs and 6oz crazy the size gap they have always been close in size here are the pics
@ultratomato those are great pics! Glad to hear all went well.
So I think my little guy has turned and changed positions, and maybe that's why I was feeling him less. This morning I'm feeling kicks high in my belly, above the belly button. They've always been on the left side when he was laying across or in a ball around my belly. Makes me wonder if this means he's head down now since kicks are straight up high.

@tulips29 That very well could be . I feel my kicks up really high now that baby is head down and has dropped . Before most of my kicks were low and smaller movements . Now as I'm reaching the end they are almost painful but they are good reassurance . I'm glad you are feeling more !!

Ah I'm getting nervous - I am having consistent period like cramps that I can feel in my back . Doesn't seem to be BH because there is no start and end to the cramping . Anyone else have this ? I will be 39 weeks tomorrow. DH is going to a festival an hour out of town tonight and I'm starting to get nervous about him being gone . Luckily I'll be with friends who could get me to the hospital if I go into labor . I just feel like something is off and wondering if I'm just losing my mind lol . I also feel like I'm going to puke but haven't yet .

@mskeenan I do not have long or consistent cramps, but i have been having menstural like cramps. My doctor said it was a good sign during our appointment. But if it gets too uncomfortable , you might wanna talk to a doctor. Today i had 2-3 painful contractions but it did not progress Best of luck. Keep us posted!
I did get some different ones between by BH and the real ones. Indeed more cramp like, but brushed them off as I was still working on my house. Oh and once I was back at my mums, I ate! Like my life depended on it, searched for food (my mums on a diet) and ate what I could find!
Wheb the real ones started, I realised that the hospital and midwives been right...you don't mistake those for BH
Thanks you ladies . Nothing ended up happening last night . Cramps let up for a bit and they are back this morning but very mild . My midwife said to go to the hospital until the contractions had a clear beginning and end. Still not having that .

@tulips29 - once my little guy changed to head down, I have noticed his movements feel much different. It's more of a rolling motion rather than just a stiff kick. They are also definitely in different areas too. mskeenan - in our labor & delivery classes this weekend, the lady said most women start with back labor and don't even realize they are beginning labor b/c they are expecting everything to begin up front. Hopefully all of these are good signs baby will be here soon! capps42613 - I'm seriously having nursery envy right about now. So cute! Didn't your friend paint that entire mural for you? So I think my little guy has turned and changed positions, and maybe that's why I was feeling him less. This morning I'm feeling kicks high in my belly, above the belly button. They've always been on the left side when he was laying across or in a ball around my belly. Makes me wonder if this means he's head down now since kicks are straight up high.

Best of luck. Keep us posted!
I did get some different ones between by BH and the real ones. Indeed more cramp like, but brushed them off as I was still working on my house. Oh and once I was back at my mums, I ate! Like my life depended on it, searched for food (my mums on a diet) and ate what I could find!
Wheb the real ones started, I realised that the hospital and midwives been right...you don't mistake those for BH

mskeenan - in our labor & delivery classes this weekend, the lady said most women start with back labor and don't even realize they are beginning labor b/c they are expecting everything to begin up front. Hopefully all of these are good signs baby will be here soon!
capps42613 - I'm seriously having nursery envy right about now. So cute! Didn't your friend paint that entire mural for you? I think I remember you mentioning that.
